Ability to act on search results
Using filters, users are able to achieve granular search results for the files they need. Currently, the only action available on search results is to open 1 document at a time. Users need a way to select all search results and add to a collection, tag, move to folder, export, and other related actions.

Get metadata information values from the Relay DocGen menu
Use the BoxRelay DocGen menu to implement a function that can obtain values from metadata information.
We are considering document generation using DocGen, combining DocGen templates, metadata, and BoxRelay.
(We plan to input data from Servicenow)
In the current specification, the DocGen menu has been added to BoxRelay, but it cannot read metadata.

BOX for Outlook - Saving Outlook messages in .msg and not .eml format
Outlook messages saved to BOX using the BOX for Outlook icon default to .eml format and thus cannot be previewed in BOX.
The only way to save the message in .msg format (that can be previewed) is to use Outlook's 'Save as' feature and force it to save the message in .msg format to BOX Drive. This is a very time-consuming process.
I would like to see Outlook messages defaulting to .msg and not .eml format.3 votes -
Relay Trigger "copy out" &"move out"
In Box Relay, the triggers for “copy” and “move” are recognized as “when a file is copied to this folder” and “when a file is moved to this folder.” Can we create triggers such as “when a file leaves this folder” or "when a file in this folder is copied somewhere else"? In other words, I would like there to be a function that allows us to detect when a file has been copied out to an external folder. I hope this feature will be considered.

Box EDR
1) How is Box handling Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR / XDR) for its internal infrastructure?
2) We see the "Endpoint Detection and Response Integrations" section in the "Enterprise Settings" of the Admin Console - is CrowdStrike the only integration available? Are they plans to expand to Microsoft Defender or Trellix?

Display Notification for Blocked Uploads to Uploading User
When creating your own Content Security policies for uploads it would be really helpful to be able to create a notification that would be displayed to an uploading user. The notification would be able to be configured by an admin user to explain the reason for why a file upload was prevented.
Without these types of notifications we have users who may upload files and then needless work exists to find out which user uploaded a file type we do not accept to then notify the end user that the file type is not acceptable and then have the user upload a file again. If we could just get the user to know which file types were allowed at upload and the reason if the upload was blocked that would be very helpful.
When creating your own Content Security policies for uploads it would be really helpful to be able to create a notification that would be displayed to an uploading user. The notification would be able to be configured by an admin user to explain the reason for why a file upload was prevented.

Behavior when an external collaboration allowed folder is moved to a non-allowed folder
The "If you move a subfolder in a folder that is allowed to collaborate externally to a folder that is not allowed to collaborate externally, the subfolder will still be able to collaborate externally." behavior is a specification of Box.
The above specification violates Box's waterfall permissions specification. When this happens, Box should alert and remove external collaborations.

It would be great to have a feature that could allow Box AI results to be exported as an Excel worksheet.

Give each Box Hub a “classification label” for the Shield function.
We want to give each box hub a “classification label” for the shield function. This would allow us to apply the shield function to each hub at once and prevent accidental external sharing.

As a customer managing 7,000+ files on Box.com, we're considering alternative platforms due to a significant limitation in your service. While we've invested in premium features the inability for external users to search within shared links essentially nullifies these efforts.
Key Issue:
External users cannot search within shared links, rendering our organized file structure and tagging system useless during client collaboration. This limitation alone makes us question our continued use of Box.com, as it creates unnecessary friction.Proposed Solution:
Enable search functionality within shared links to:-Improve client experience
-Maximize value of premium features
-Maintain professional workflow

Automatically generate a password for the shared link
I would like to request the addition of a feature that generates a random password meeting the password requirements on the screen where users create an open sharing link and are prompted to set a password.
When there is a requirement to set a password, manually creating a password each time can be burdensome.3 votes -
Interval in metadata trigger
Hi! Would it be possible to add the ability in Box Relay for the flow to be dependent on the interval between 2 values of numeric metadata?
Now we only have options like "less than", "greater than", but it would be great if we could set the trigger dependance "from...to" like in the search filter1 vote -
Remove unnecessary newlines from Box Notes when copying to other plain text apps
When I copy a list of lines from Box Notes to a plain text editor on MacOS, it always inserts newlines between each two lines. It does not matter if you Cmd + V or Cmd + Shift + V, the newlines still remain.
I don't know what the issue is, but this needs to be fixed. I do not want to spend the time removing the extra newlines when we're copying form Box Notes to somewhere else. It is a waste of time and also worth considering other cloud note tools that might prevent this from happening.

Scan directly to box folder on Canon ImageRunner machines. Would love to be able to scan directly to Box. Currently only works for Windows, FTP or WebDAV

Display TIFF Files without strict metadata validation
TIFF generated across different business, internal and external streams are not consistent with the meta data validation. Some times, the file metadata claims the embedded JPEG uses 1x1 sampling (no subsampling, full resolution), but the actual JPEG data uses 2x1 horizontal chroma subsampling.
In these cases strict validations causes failures to preview the TIFF images, converting millions of such images to PDFs is not scalable effort.
BOX to provide a feature to ignore strict validation of the meta data.

Support for User-Specific Folder Visibility in HUB
We have use cases where we need to display only the folders a user has access to within a specific directory—such as a users directory in root directory. Currently, the only way to achieve this with HUB is by creating a separate HUB for each user, which is difficult to manage and scale. A feature that allows displaying only the folders a user has permission to access would be much easier to maintain and could support multiple users through a single HUB configuration.
