drag and drop jpegs
• You currently do not have the ability to simply drag and drop a JPEG from Box in to PowerPoint (or any other document), which means you either have to open the doc, take a screen shot and copy/paste the screen shot OR use the “insert” function on PowerPoint and them go through your files to find it

external share
Need the ability to provide some users/groups to create external shares for a longer or indefinite period of time. If we have a long range project I have to disable to option to control how long a share stays out there - that in my opinion is a security risk.

Delete tasks once you have completed them, even if others on the task have not
Don’t show tasks that you have completed, but other people on the task (including people that are no longer with the company “a prior collaborator”) have not completed.

Right now the Watermark is their “USER ID”, and we need it to be their USER NAME or NAME.1 vote -
Show the password when typing to avoid typo's
Add an option for the user to see the password they are typing to avoid typos when sending to the client. At the moment, there is no option to see what you have typed until the client is telling you that the password doesnt work. Especially with caps, symbols etc.

quota folders
We use our box admin account for folders for specific groups. We would like to set quotas for folders.

We know that if we want to know where a folder has been moved to, we can ask the administrator to output it from the report.
However, We would like the Co-owner to be able to check the destination of the file (or the user who operated it) in case of urgency.(In Japanese)

"apply workflow to all subfolders" should be an option for every trigger
When using the "manual start" trigger of a workflow you can check a box that will apply the workflow to all subfolders. This would be useful for all triggers.
Currently I need to create 10+ duplicate work flows that are exactly the same, but applied to separate folders.
I am unable to use the "manual start" trigger because the workflow is most efficiently start by an external collaborator - and Box does not enable external collaborators to start manual workflows13 votes -
Notification of task / mention on content from folder-view.
Add an icon to a file (similar to the lock icon, or the shared link icon) when the associated user has an active task assigned to them or has been referenced in a comment but has not yet reviewed the document.

[ACCESSIBILITY] Enable preview with non-embedded captions
Currently video player requires subtitles to be embedded in the video file. It would be a great enhancement to adopt the industry standards and enable captions to be in a different file (same filename, different extension) on the same folder. That would simplify the work to be done when publishing a video with captions.

Email File Request Link from Box
Add ability to email file request links directly from Box (similar to collaboration invites). This would allow customers to audit who sent out file request link/ when.

Add “Do something after a certain period of time” option in outcome
Accessing to some of our manual documents is strictly managed and we would like to delete these documents which are not effective anymore after a certain period of time (e.g. 1 day, 1 week, custom lengths etc.). If Relay is capable of this, we can streamline other systems that are currently implemented.

Adding a granular sharing option for Annotations
I would like to use annotations as a personal note. It would be great if an annotation is not shared with anyone by default and a user can choose an option to share/show it with collaborators.

Use of iPad’s Markup for annotating. Box’s implementation of annotations is poor.
iPads have a built in document markup function for annotating documents, it’s tragic that Box doesn’t permit this tool to function.
My current work around is to copy the file to my iPad then use Markup to annotate my document, then finally copy the annotated document back into Bix.

Set certain folders to default to searching only within that folder
As an example, we have a Knowledgeable folder. When users go to that folder and search, I want to confine search to just that folder by default (most users won't want to tick the box).

Change configuration shared links - expiration policy
Currently it is possible to configure an expiry policy for shared links for a period of up to 10 years, the logic in which this option is programmed is contradictory in itself.
Once this policy is implemented from the administration console, expecting that links can be removed/expired after a certain period of time in order to have more control and security over the shared content the end user can simply remove this setting (expiry policy) at the time they are creating their shared link.
The end user is practically overwriting the configuration at the environment admin level.

Add sender's email address to the "Mail All" collaborators functionality.
Currently when a notification is sent via email through "Mail All" collaborators function, it does not include an email to the person who created the notification. It would be beneficial to add the sender's email address to this notification process for documentation purposes and validation. When the creator does not receive the email, they are reliant on other parties to forward the notification, which is not efficient.

Web interface improvements - New Folder creation
Two things:
1) Within the Box Web App, allow for the creation of a New Folder and other features when you "right-click" within the view area. Google Drive already has this.2) After clicking the "New" > "Folder", to create a new folder, a pop-up window appears. Please have the cursor automatically highlight the "Folder Name" field, so that you don't have to click within the text field first to type a name.
These UI improvements will help with the overall experience. Thanks!

Need to be able to print/download a glossary of folders
Other VDRs allow you to download the index of your folders, like a table of contents or glossary. Please add this feature

Ability to logout and delete cache from Box Drive on OS reboot
Currently, it is necessary to logout/login to clear the cache and errors, but this is troublesome.
The burden of performing this operation on a regular basis is on the end user.It would be easier to use if the logout/deletion of the cache could be done on OS reboot.
（If it automatically re-logon after restarting OS, that would be even better)現状ではキャッシュやエラーをクリアするためにログアウト/ログインする必要がありますが、これは手間がかかります。
この操作を定期的に行うのはエンドユーザーに負担がかかってしまいます。OS の再起動時にログアウト/キャッシュの削除ができればより便利だと思います。
(OS の再起動後に自動的に再ログオンするようになれば更に良いと思います。)12 votes
