quota folders
We use our box admin account for folders for specific groups. We would like to set quotas for folders.

Notification of task / mention on content from folder-view.
Add an icon to a file (similar to the lock icon, or the shared link icon) when the associated user has an active task assigned to them or has been referenced in a comment but has not yet reviewed the document.

Web interface improvements - New Folder creation
Two things:
1) Within the Box Web App, allow for the creation of a New Folder and other features when you "right-click" within the view area. Google Drive already has this.2) After clicking the "New" > "Folder", to create a new folder, a pop-up window appears. Please have the cursor automatically highlight the "Folder Name" field, so that you don't have to click within the text field first to type a name.
These UI improvements will help with the overall experience. Thanks!

Need to be able to print/download a glossary of folders
Other VDRs allow you to download the index of your folders, like a table of contents or glossary. Please add this feature

UPGRADE PLAN: chat box needed when paying out, in case of questions or problem
chat box needed at upgrade for any inquiries. i was going to upgrade storage from free to starter plan at the special offer of $5 though underneath in italics noted $180 billed annual which does not sum up. Amounts are deterring and confusing. Any help is appreciated.

Allow more capabilities in the Reports module
It would really be nice if you would allow filtering on more than just a couple reports, and/or the ability for admin to create their own reports.
For instance the Files and Folders report, I may not care to run a report on all files and folders, should be able to filter based on metadata or on just specific folders.

Request about 'People in your company' for shared links
There is a permission called "People in your company" for shared links.
When a link is set to "People in your company", it can be viewed by "People in your company" and "Invited people only".
Some end users think this is confusing.Please change the name of the item to "People in your company and Invited people only".

external users to manually initiate a relay workflow
currently only internal users can manually initiate a workflow which limits the situations workflows can be best used in. Allowing any user the initiate a workflow would all customers to get the most out of this feature

Company Intranet Functionality
Would be great if Box had a company intranet functionality similar to platforms like Simppler, Igloo, Claromentis, Jostle, etc... Many of them integrate with Box, but one stop shopping is always preferred. A digital workplace is so important now that so many are working remotely. Bringing all of our apps under one roof (e.g., Box, Salesforce, Teams, Zoom, Yammer...), giving employees a portal/hub to go every morning to improve communication, lighten the inbox, providing a place to hold not only our knowledge but our policies, forms, news, process management for things like onboarding new hires, training staff, etc...

Multilingual file requests
We need to be able to create file request forms in French and Spanish to send to folks who do not use English. While we can create some of the language in Spanish in designing the file request, all the instructions, help and error messages remain in English, which won't help our users.

Independent back-up of files in box
In allot of professions, regulatory requirements require for us to have an independent back up of the files. With today's increased ransomware where they freeze your files, having an independent back-up is a great idea. I propose for Box to have all the files backed-up to a third location where its stored for access if needed. What happens if someone deletes a file by mistake or get all the files deleted. Having a site as back up will be a great idea. Filed could be backed up once a week. And I can tell you I will pay extra for…

Allow File Request Boxes to be customized
The file request boxes are extremely limited and need some basic levels of customization. The iframes are ugly and need to go, but at the very least we should be able to chose the height and width of them.

A subfolder is automatically created for each file when the file is uploaded by File request.
Eliminate the hassle of creating individual folders for uploaded files and facilitate our next task.
For the folder name, it is preferable to be able to specify metadata (email address, etc.).1 vote -
Ability to Favorite and Add to Collection Read-Only Box Notes
Currently if someone sends me a read-only link to a Box Note, I am not able to make it a favorite or add it to a collection. This makes it hard for me to keep track of those Box Notes if I want to go back to them at a later time. You should be able to save or organize Box Notes even if you have Read-Only access.

embed picture without file name
I'm trying to embed a picture saved to Box into a project, but the title of the photo, as well as the options to log in or sign up appear always. I'd like to remove that header information from my embedded image.

Add folder shared with all people in my company to favorites and collection
Hi Box Team,
When I share a folder with all people in my company, then my colleagues can access the folder with the link but they cannot add the folder to their favorites or collections. It would be great if folders shared with people in my company can be added to collections or favorites by my colleagues.

not available offline
As an admin, Id like to mark some folders as never available offline. We have several folders with several terabytes of data and inadvertently users have started downloading the entire folder.
One found out when his hard drive was almost full, the other was caught by security looking at the massive downloads. The data is available to all but shouldn't be copied locally.1 vote
