   Remove greyed out options for editable shared links if the edit option has been removed from the enterprise settings. It causes end user confusion and would rather have it not be visible if the admin/IT/Security teams choose to not elect to have this available within enterprise settings.

2. Ability to add reminder notification function for folders and files

   I want you to apply the remind notification function for folders and files

   Currently Box Relay cannot send reminders for folders and files.
   I want you to apply the function to send notifications with a custom date and interval for each folder and file.
   With this function, it is possible to prevent oversight of work that has a deadline, and it is possible to carry out work efficiently.

5. Box Drive should copy by default on macOS

   As described at https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407737091219-Using-Box-Drive-on-macOS-File-Provider-Extension-FPE-mode

   a change when moving to newer Box Drive, or upgrading to Monterey, results in the serious change of drag and drop is now a move instead of a copy.

   If a user ever accidentally drags a file to their local drive, it takes it out of Box, and trashes the original, it eliminates the previous object ID for the file, it trashes all prior versions of the file.

   This simple mistake can break every link that a company may have for a particular object in documents, bookmarks, etc. Or, if the user doesn't realize they'd moved instead of copied, it can result in data loss along with the inaccessibility of the object for other Box users in the org. With the version history loss, a great amount of data loss can occur, along with lost auditing ability for tracking an undesirable/unapproved change to a file.

6. Improve search UI

   Hi Team,

   When I search in BOX folder which has many files using "ctlr+f" option, It doesn't search entire folder.

   For Example: There are 10 files available in the folder which contains the name "OCA"(file name contains "OCA") And when I search I get only 6 results and when I scroll down and search I get remaining 4 results.
   Can you please improve it to search the whole folder even if the file is present at the bottom of scrollable area?

7. Display folder sync warning message and revers sync from local folders

   Dear Admins,
   would it be possible to have an option , warning about all data deletion or when whole box folder is being removed from box, be shown before sync. with local folders? This would prevent data loss.
   As well option to sync. from local copy will enable option to easily restore data from Box, this would be appreciated.

8. Drag to re-order lists and tables in Box Notes

   I use lists in Box Notes quite frequently for lists of tasks or priorities. After entering the list items, I often wish to reorder the items. If you could add a simple drag to re-order list items behavior, lists would be a far more useful capability within notes.

   This same drag to re-order functionality would also be very useful in tables within Box Notes

   The best implementation that I have seen is in the OSX notes app, where a faint grabber icon appears next to the row and column of a table that you are editing. You can re-order rows or columns simply by dragging this grabber icon.

9. Box Sheild - Improved alert policies

   We are based out of the US but have a few users based out of other countries. As of now, every time they access Box we get an alert for a suspicious login location. We can exclude the entire country, which we do not wish to do or we can exclude a specific IP. It would be great if we could create a IF THEN statement. Example: IF user = *@specificdomain.com AND location=specific country THEN SuspiciousLocationAlert=False.

   To summarize, additional configuration of alerts would be very beneficial.

10. Ability to grant Metadata When Uploading Multiple Files in a File Request

    Under the current Box specification (December 10, 2021), when uploading multiple files at the same time using a file request, all files are given the same metadata. To comply with the Electric Book Storage Act, I believe that when users upload multiple files using file requests in Box, metadata must be attached to each file. We strongly hope to add the ability to grant metadata to individual files to file requests.

    I want you to display up to the latest ○ items instead of displaying the contents at all.
    If it is difficult to realize this request, please display the screen of the reason why it is not displayed and the workaround screen instead of the error screen of "The specified page does not exist" to reduce the business impact.

    If it disappears suddenly, you will not be able to restore or confirm it if you accidentally delete it.
    In addition, there is a possibility that multiple users with a large amount of data will encounter this problem in the future, which may have a business impact, so we request improvement.

    For company operations, the Admin does not want end users to develop Box applications.
    Therefore, we would like to configure the admin side to not show the "Dev console" to end users.

13. Augment existing collaborator permissions in inherited subfolders

    Scenario:

    Folder A is shared with User X with Viewer permission
    Folder B is a subfolder of Folder A, on which User X requires Editor permission

    According to support, the only way to accomplish this in the web UI is to first remove User X as a collaborator on Folder A, add them as an Editor on Folder B, and then re-add them as a Viewer on Folder A

    This is clunky, annoying, and results in a lot of extra notifications.

    Clearly this is supported by the underlying file system because you can do it directly with the Box CLI:

    box collaborations:create <folder ID> folder --role editor --group-id <group ID> --no-notify --as-user <user ID>

    This results in the correct assignment. However while trying to do this in the web UI, an inheritance warning prompt appears and will change the collaborators permission at the parent level too, which is not desired.

    This seems to be a very common use case and I'm shocked at the app behaving this way. Please fix this! We need to be able to augment inherited permission on subfolders from the web UI.

15. Ability to restore/delete files only by Box tenant administrators

    Due to the revision of the Personal Information Protection Law, the company's policy will be changed.
    The policy will be to erase unnecessary data after a specific period of time.
    This policy change will also cover data residing in personal Bin.

    Currently, as a specification of Box, if an item in the Bin is maliciously "deleted from the Bin" or if data is automatically deleted from the Bin after a certain period of time, it will be unrecoverable after 14 days.
    We would like to set up a specification like "Archive function of the Bin" so that we can restore the files in case of emergency.

16. Access Control Restrictions by user

    As a administrator, I would like the ability to turn off certain Access Control Restrictions across all collaborators vs. limiting it to specific collaborator roles.

    Example:
    Download / Print Restrictions.

    we would still like users to leverage the app but, not allow them to download/print to their mobile device. Yes, the app function can be disable enterprise-wide but, we want to limit it to a specific function within the mobile app regardless of their collaborator role.

18. I would like to add attachments (with shared links) in Outlook on the Web and make the attachment location at the top of the email body.

    When you add an attachment (with a shared link) in Outlook on the Web, it is attached at the bottom of the thread if the text field is expanded.
    However, it is difficult to see the attachment at the bottom of the thread, so please change the setting so that the attachment is added to the top of the email every time. (or add a feature).

    With the current specification, attachments are displayed at the bottom of the message, especially when the body of the message is long, so the recipient may not notice the attachment.

    Bookmark takes too many steps even when saving a Box's shared link. It should be easier to create a bookmark of a shared Link from adoption perspective.

    As-Is: 1. Generate a shared link 2. Copy the link 3. Move to folder where I want to save a bookmark 4. Create Bookmark and paste&name the link

    To-Be: 1. Generate a shared link 2. Prepare a prompt (probably in the shared Link generation popup) and select "Create Bookmark" and user can select folder they would like to save the link in within the same prompt 3. Save the bookmark (without actually moving to the folder)

20. BOX SHIELD - Block all applications from downloading content

    The following feature is redundant:

    Block all applications from downloading content - No integrated applications (except Microsoft Office for the web, Google Workspace, Apple iWork, and Adobe Acrobat Online) or published custom applications will be able to download content protected by the access policy.

    I thought the purpose of Box Shield was to protect organizations from data breaches????

    We have configured everything within our box account to prevent certain data from being download or printed. However, Box gives our users the option to open these confidential files in Adobe Acrobat which then allows them to download, print, and anything else they want to do with our companies files.

    What am I missing? Please advise if there is another setting I must activate to prevent this. Thank you.
