adding seats emails the Admin for approval.
We need an approval action for when a co-admin tries to add more seats. Or the ability to turn off that ability while still letting them edit users.

Collapse sidebar on right hand side (Activity / Details / Metadata) by default
Give users ability to decide at either account or folder settings level whether content opens up in full screen (i.e. marketing video etc) with the side bar on right hand side collapsed by default.
They can then click if they want to open the sidebar to check on Activity / Details / Metadata

Drive and Sync
It should be impossible to have both Box Drive & Box Sync installed and working on the same machine. An install of one should automatically be impossible until the other is removed from the machine.

DLP
When copying content from Box Drive to an external volume, Sophos DLP is unable to capture information about this event.
According to the Sophos team, this is a result of Box Drive relying on a legacy file system filter driver, CBFS.
It is suggested that Box update Box Drive to work with Windows file system minifilter drivers as opposed to CBFS. That way DLP could monitor and capture these events.

When selecting text in a Box Note, you get the option to make a comment related to that selection. We want the ability to @mention there.
You can @mention someone someone in a sidebar comment on a Box Note. You can select text in a Box Note and make a comment related to that selection. But you cannot @mention someone in a comment related to a text selection.
We have a user group that uses Workfront for that specific functionality but would shift that workflow to Box if this functionality was added.

Box drive won't show files that don't sync
We have many department users uploading files to Box via Box drive but sometimes Box drive won't upload all the files due to a certain discrepancy. There is no error on Box drive and the only way to find this is to check for the number files on Box web as compared to the number of files on Box drive for the particular folder. This is very concerning and Box drive should either show the list of files not uploaded to Box or shouldn't allow users to upload files using Box drive. I hope there will be a fix released…

Quarantine Folder Customization
We'd like additional customizations for quarantine files including search, notifications, and outreach to folder owners.
Is there a way to notify the folder owner and co-owner if an item is quarantined? We don’t see anything in the Admin Console to set that.
Alternatively, is there a way to customize the quarantine email to add a contact instead of “your administrator”?

Email Upload Confirmation Failure reason
For Email Uploading to a folder, it would be nice if the confirmation email received by the sender would specify the reason for it failing so a ticket doesn't to be submitted to support for answer to that.

Box new account
Here is an idea to make Box new accounts on-boarding more user friendly.
My account team was not clear on any ETA when to expect the account to become active.
Not a single email was sent what to expect and at what time. After 2 weeks the purchased licenses were assigned to another account. After that I was told to submit a ticket to support to resolve the problem created during the initial provisioning of the account.

Better functionality for viewing photo libraries
We have folders of photos - Box is not great either in browser or in Box Drive to review this. In Box Drive, i guess it struggles to cache all the thumbnails fast enough so it is effectively unusable

Read Enterprise Settings using API
Is there a way to read Enterprise Settings using API? That would be much beneficial where the Admin can choose certain settings like Storage and there wont be a necessity to change the Code every time the Admin wants to change the settings. The API can read the existing settings and manage users based on those configurations. Currently, the application that manages Box accounts has to store those locally and every time there is a change in those settings, that calls for a Change management and code deployment.

Synchronize changes between Box Edit and Box Drive for Excel
The file which is referred from external, if we edit , save download and upload, we need to save original Excel from Box Edit. The customer does not want to open Edit only for this.
For example, there are two excel ExcelA and ExcelB. Excel B is referring the data from ExcelA.
ExcelA was created via Box Drive and ExcelB was from Box Edit.
If Excel A was modified, then open ExcelB, but the modification is not reflected to ExcelB.

Change the background color when selecting collaborator in @mention function
We would like to request to change the background color when selecting collaborator in @mention function
When searching for collaborators using @mention function and when the target collaborator has been selected, the background color becomes "light grey" and it is hard to tell if it is already selected.

Block end user password reset for SSO users
In our environment, we enforce SSO, however users can still go into their user settings to reset their password and change the password. My understanding is that this password is only usable for FTP access, but it is confusing for users and we do not use the FTP functionality. Block end user password reset for SSO users

Unify nomenclature for permission levels between mobile and web clients
We've noticed that the same feature is called differently in Desktop-browser, iOS app and Android app
Specifically the link type 'Invited people only' is called 'People in this folder' in iOS (which I actually like better) and 'People in this file and folder' in Android
Can you pass this feedback onto the product team? I don't think it makes sense to be inconsistent between the platforms

Allow a file name to be copied without clicking into it
Can’t copy a document name unless you click in the document (because it’s a hyperlink)
