Add Description field in Windows Explorer
It would be a great feature if Box Drive could be integrated so that the "Description" meta field on the Box website is populated into the actual Description field when files are viewed on Box Drive locally on a desktop (i.e. adding the "Description" column to the view in Windows Explorer).

Add permissions to a folder without emailing everyone
I'd like to be able to edit permissions directly in a folder without sending and receiving a ton of emails. I have not found a way to do this - even silent mode on the admin account does not allow for this. I think the notifications within Box are sufficient to let people know their folder permissions have changed and if I want to send an email it is easier if I just send a single email outside of Box to all affected.

User Activity Report to log all User Events that happened in external outbound folder (grey folder)
Currently, User Events (such as file upload, download and delete by Managed Users) that happened in external outbound folder (grey folder) are logged and can be obtained via Box API. And these user activities within grey folder (by Managed Users) shall be logged in User Activity Report.
These User Events may be required to be kept for few years due to organization's security policy. But currently, User Events are only stored between 2 weeks and 2 month, and user ID needs to be specified when ever it needs to be obtained via API.

Box Drive and Time Machine
You seriously need to work on your time machine issues. Almost all my data are gone, as in GONE, also from the trash bin that you just empty every 30 days. Thanks for hours of work that I will have to put in now to restore data from time machine. Yes, important data. Data that hold HOURS of hard work.

A way to obtain reporting on how long a file was previewed for in order to gain insights on interactions.
A way to obtain reporting on how long a file was previewed for? Within the admin consol, I can see reporting for specific events (i.e. Preview, Downloaded, Created, etc...); Optionality to see how long a file was previewed for once it was opened can provide insights into the interactions with files/folders.

Delete app users via the admin console
Its great that you can view all the app users in the admin console but shame you are unable to delete them. Can this be made possible rather then using https://developer.box.com/en/reference/delete-users-id/

Upload embedded metadata for search
We would like to have the ability to have metadata search work for files that are uploaded to Box, if the metadata was already embedded on the file before the upload

Time to complete task including / excluding weekends
A customer I am working with would like to add the flexibility to include or exclude weekends when adding a time to complete tasks. This would make more business sense to end users to not include weekends when assigning a time to complete, and would make for a more standard business process. It would make it easier when creating relay workflows to assign a task that needs to be completed in two business days rather than just two days. This would be for the reason that if a task is assigned on a Friday to completed in a day, then…

Provide folder navigation path while previewing file in web app
In the Web App, while viewing folder contents a usable full path navigation function is provided at the top of the page. However, if selecting a file all that is available at the top is a link to the folder the file resides in. It would be helpful and consistent to provide the same folder navigation option.

Ability to differentiate who can change file level classifications vs folder level (ie, admins can set classifications at the folder level, managed users can change it at the file level)

Enable passphrases instead of only complex passwords
We enabled the Box strong password policy for 3rd parties; however, it does not permit passphrases. In the CASB pilot, when I accepted an invite to collaborate on my personal Box account, Diageo Box required me to change my 15 character passphrase to a complex password. That will be a problem for any 3rd parties using passphrases. Therefore we should turn that policy OFF.

Current Edge(not Chromium based) is not able to upload hidden files and shortcuts by using the Upload Folders feature due to browser limitation.Enterprises who have a policy to only allow the usage of the legacy version of Microsoft Edge. Therefore, cannot back up hidden files to Box

Clarify language on daily digest email setting
The 'send daily digest activity emails to the admin' setting sends these emails to BOTH the primary admin and the co-admins of the enterprise. The wording on the tooltip of this feature should be updated to reflect this. It currently contains singular language, which is misleading as the email is sent to multiple people.
