Fix iOS Microsoft Office Security - No Pin Required
If you have Box Mobile App installed and a Pin is enforced, your data is protected by pin every time you launch the app. If you install iOS Excel or Word and then sign into the application/authorize, anytime you launch word or Excel you are not prompted to sign in again and there is no passcode enforced on either of those apps. They have full access to all documents in your Box account. Box Device Trust and EMM will not enforce or protect this either and is easily bypassed since this is an Application Integration, you don't even need Box…

Ability to block external invitations for collaboration
We don't want users accepting any external invites to external company shares but we want them to be able to share folders with any company. Basically, we only ever want to be the folder owner.
We have a rule that only we can create the folders and share them out but this sometimes is accidentally overlooked. In addition, Box does not have an option to "block outside collaborator invitations" only an option to completely turn off inbound/outbound sharing or white list domains.

Folder-Level Collaborator Reporting: Ability to run a report of which internal and external collaborators are added to an item
Users should be able to run a report of any folder they are an owner or co-owner of to see the list of external collaborators. This would be nice so they could periodically review it and remove stale collaborations.

Functionality to clear pinned device from user's account settings
Currently pinned devices for the device pinning functionality can be cleared by the admin console only. User should be able to do this so that user can choose which devices to use Box with without asking the Box admin every time.

Box Tools install to be shown as "Box Edit" instead of "Box Tools"
While I understand the Box Tools installer also contains the Box Local Com Server application, it is there to support Box Edit so labeling the entire installation more explicitly as Box Edit, instead of Box Tools, will be more clear.
7 votesThanks for your feedback. It’s called Box Tools because it actually contains both Box Edit and Device Trust capabilities in this one installer.

Add option to cancel workflow, move files to trash automatically on reject
On rejecting, the workflow options are to go back to a previous step or to complete the workflow. However, if you reject, you may want the workflow to end and if the file has been rejected you certainly don't want to save it to the approved files directory (this has happened to us recently and caused a problem with a customer). On rejecting there should be a different option - to cancel the workflow and trash the files or auto-select a "rejected documents trashbin folder" in order to avoid accidentally saving rejected files to an approved files directory. This sounds…

Make files preview in mobile without user registration like Dropbox
Make files preview on mobile Box, without user registration. Currently, customers need to download the box app just to view any file I send as shared link. This is not an issue with Dropbox. With the majority of people using their mobile phones this would be a good idea, do you agree?

shared link password
Currently there is an opportunity for Shared Links with a password to be brute force broken, as there are not any controls in place to disable after unsuccessful attempts. Two options to handle this are:
- Implement the configuration in the Shared Link Password protection option to set the number of unsuccessful attempts
- Implement an audit event that documents an unsuccessful Shared Link Password attempt, so that a custom implementation can monitor the unsuccessful attempts, and react accordingly.25 votesWe'll be evaluating improvements to Shared Links later this year and will provide an update at that time.

bulk manage Shared Links
Provide a way for all shared links in an account to have their permission levels / access levels / expiry dates modified in bulk, rather than having to change each one individually which is extremely time consuming for large doc sets.

Change the default security of a shared link, to "People in this file" or "People in this folder" rather than "Anyone with the link"
Change the default security of a shared link, to "People in this file" or "People in this folder" rather than "Anyone with the link" (which is the current default).
Whenever a shared link is created in box, the default access permission assigned to the new Shared Link, is "Anyone with the link" unless Account-level permissions are specifically changed by a knowledgeable user. This is not a secure choice at all. It's too easy to create a large number of Shared Links which, by default, are open to absolutely anyone in the entire world to whom the link gets forwarded to.…

Shared Link Default Setting
I propose that the default Shared Link setting be the strictest available setting "People in this Folder" rather than "People with the Link". In my opinion, the default setting should be the more confidential / private one and force the user to opt to share the link with outside parties. In my experience, many users have not understood to update that setting.

Include activities & comments in the search index
Activities and comments on the files are something very useful to collaborate on documents. It would be great if there was a way to include the content of the activities & comments in the search index.
