While a similar request has been made for Box Drive, I believe that the same risk of accidental file uploads exists when using Box via the web interface. In particular, there is a concern about the unintended upload of important files to the wrong folder, which could result in information leaks. Unlike bulk operations, even a single mistaken upload of a sensitive file can have serious consequences.

Download all files from view
Currently, you are only able to download the files visible in a view. If there are more than 25 files you want to download, you need to complete multiple batches. If you have a folder with 500 items in it, you can download the whole folder.
We would like to see an option where you can export all files in a view like you can with a folder so specific information can be aggregated across our environment and retrieved via a Box App

Enable Unlimited or Queued Legal Hold Exports with No Restriction
Currently, Box limits the number of concurrent legal hold exports to two. Multiple cases, custodians, or collection exports become cumbersome, especially when managing large eDiscovery workloads. Additionally, there is no queue system for pending exports: users must manually retry once an export completes.
Proposed Enhancement
Remove or raise the export limit (e.g., allow up to 5 exports at once).Add a queued export mechanism: new requests can be submitted even when the limit is reached and automatically begin when slots free up.

While Box allows export of content under Legal Hold, the workflow lacks Boolean search capabilities to refine the export dataset. Users can’t currently apply logical conditions like AND, OR, NOT, or grouping filters (e.g., "contract AND 2023" OR "proposal NOT draft") before exporting files. This limitation forces bulk exports and requires manual filtering post-download.

Enable Full‑Text Search‑Based Filtering When Exporting Legal Hold Content
The current Legal Hold export workflow in Box does not allow for full-text search within held content before exporting. This means customers must export entire holds and then filter or search locally, which is inefficient and can result in unnecessarily large export volumes.
For effective eDiscovery and compliance investigations, full-text search is critical to quickly locate and export only the most relevant documents. This capability should work across folders, user data, and file contents, not just filenames or metadata

Automatically Delete Files After Purge Policy Period (Respecting Legal Hold)
While retention policies provide timed safeguarding, the system does not guarantee automatic deletion of items once the retention period ends particularly when a purge policy is specified. End users must rely on manual deletion or scheduled processes.
This enhancement would ensure that files automatically expire and are permanently deleted via defined purge policies unless they’re subject to a Legal Hold, which always takes priority.

Enable End Users to Apply Existing Retention Policies to Their Content
Currently, only administrators can assign retention policies to content in Box. This central control is important for compliance, but it also creates workflow bottlenecks when end users need to apply retention to content immediately for governance, regulatory, or project-specific reasons.
Allowing end users to apply pre-approved, administrator-created retention policies or templates to their own content would:
Empower teams to self-govern content in line with company compliance standards.
Reduce admin overhead and delays.
Ensure governance rules are applied at the point of content creation, rather than after-the-fact by admins.

Allow Early Removal of Retention Policy from Specific Content Before Period Ends
Currently, Box retention policies apply for the entire duration set and cannot be removed from individual files or folders before the retention period ends—unless the entire policy assignment is removed.

Refer this for details.When someone in our domain receives an invitation to collaborate in a folder and they don’t yet have a Box account, an account will be provisioned and that user will automatically become a managed user under your enterprise instance. This is some kind of a backdoor account creation which we want to have a control on. We have account approval process where Cost Center managers review and approve the license cost. Need this capability to have a control over this way of account creation.

Allow Box Zones with fewer than 10 seats
I'm in the UK so need to be GDPR-compliant and store my data here. Currently, I can't ensure my data is stored in the UK without having Box Zones, which requires 10 seats. I'm a solo business, three seats is already more than I need.

We use Pendo to automate and manage user guidance within Box. Pendo provides automation features that allow us to automatically trigger specific AI agents, even when many agents exist.

Maintaining Login State via Shared Links
We have encountered an issue with Box Hubs when accessed via shared links. Specifically, when users access a Hub page through a shared link and then navigate to folders within the Hub, the login state is not maintained. As a result, users are treated as non-logged-in visitors and cannot perform actions such as downloading files.
This behavior effectively prevents internal sharing of Hubs using shared links, which limits collaboration capabilities.

Allow users to search by folder ID or URL from the save destination selection screen via Box for Office
When saving directly to Box from Office files (Excel, etc.), we use the search function to narrow down the destination folder from the “Save to Box” screen.
Currently, you can search by folder/file name, but if there are folders with the same name, it is often difficult to distinguish between them immediately.
In order to avoid this problem, making it possible to search by folder/file ID or URL will improve convenience by allowing users to search only specific folders/files.Officeファイル上(Excel等)から直接Boxに保存する際に、「Boxに保存」画面から保存先フォルダを絞るために検索機能を利用しています。

The ability to create any folder in My Collection in Box.
When creating a My Collection that collects existing related files in a project, for example, if you organize them as "Project A", there is a disadvantage that it will be difficult to find them even if you add each of them to the created My Collection.
