Share Modal
The dropdown when you click a Share button to invite someone displays the permission descriptions. The dropdown when you click the person already in a folder does not. It would be nice to have consistency across the UI. Anytime a collaborator appear listed and I click on their permissions, it should include the fin text explaining what each permissions allows them to do.

Tags shortcut removed in new UI
I am requesting a feature that was already present in the old UI. I worked with support to determine that feature has been eliminated. There was a shortcut in the top right where you could quickly add tags. That feature is now gone in the new UI. Some of our users used that button heavily. Now we are forced to use the more options, or right click which is a couple more steps, each time the user wants to mark a file as read.

I’m uploading a large directory tree with Box Drive, and I’d like to know the status of the files being transferred. I’ve been reading about this in the support area of their web site.
From the Box website, it appears that the way to do this is by looking at icons next to files which change color.
There are two issues with this:
I am blind and use screen reading software that can’t distinguish icons. The Box people need to know about this accessibility problem.
I’d rather have an overall report. But there’s nothing available in the Box Drive UI.1 vote -
Increased accessibility of upload status of a file for visually impaired users
Currently, in Box Drive the only way to check the upload status of a file/folder is to check the folder/file icons. There is currently no way for visually impaired users to check the current status of an upload, or check the status of content being Marked for Offline, since this functionality also relies on the folder/file icons for this information.
Box should consider a solution to this that would better serve visually impaired and blind users

Preview video in keynote or PDF
As a user I would like to be able to share out a comprehensive keynote with embedded videos and maintain a preview only collaboration. currently videos have to be shared separately

Ability to start 'manual start' workflows at levels other than editor
It would be great for the workflow owner to be able to set a lower level of permission to be able to kick of certain manual start workflows. The use case is that a client has a bunch of reference documents that they don't want their general audience to be able to download or edit, but still want them to be able to request changes to be made as part of a formalised process. At present those people can still annotate and comment, but the team making the changes can't track what's being asked, and so have to manually keep…

show file name in Version History
Some files with autosave create new versions every couple of minutes (2 hours in a Keynote = 238 Versions). It is necessary to be able to view filename in the Version History sidebar, not just in the preview pane. It is impossible otherwise to determine which file I'm looking for just by looking at version numbers.

PCI Compliance
As a user in an industry which must be PCI compliant,
I want content flagged by Shield as containing PCI content to not be included in the full-text search index,
So that our Box environment can be PCI compliant without having to disable full text search for the entire environment.1 vote -

a better way to handle people wanting to collaborate with you - scams
Once scammers have your email address you receive a TON of "user x added you to collaborate with" communications and it is very tedious to remove (decline) them, as you have to do it one by one, each taking multiple clicks. make a way for me to "select all" those who want to collaborate with me and decline them ALL at once. I'm so close to just deleting my box account as I get 2-3 notifications of people (scammers) wanting to collaborate with me and takes me a long time to decline them all.

create folder
Can we create a new folder that way we can organize documents we upload onto BOX? like if i have a bunch of pictures from a specific vacation, and other pictures from other vacations, i'd rather each picture be in specific folders rather than all over the place and i have to guess when and where the picture or file is and where it belongs to.

Shared link works on desktop but fails on mobile
I received a Box link from a contact in the form https://app.box.com/s/[string]/folder/[string]. Clicking this link in iOS Mail app opened a Box web page in Safari with the message "This shared file or folder has been removed." I tried to resolve this by installing the Box app. Clicking the link now opened the Box app with a message telling me I must log in to access my content. This would not be possible for recipients without a Box account.

Markdown preview is blank in iOS. Markdown used to render into a preview on iOS when selecting a .md file. Now it just shows a blank screen. Requesting this gets fixed, I used this feature quite a bit and it's been broken for some time now

Open a file contained in a .zio
When opening a .zip in Box preview allow the user to open a file contained in that .zip file. Today, the user has to download the entire zip file to extract a single file.

Allow to only show Favorited items like box on the web
Allow Box Drive to show All Files or Favorite Files. This will enhance searchability for actively used files first, or All Files for a broader search.

Content Manager report export
Customer would like to export content from content manager in either excel or CSV format. They are looking to use this reporting to delete users and folders of projects that are complete.

Box CLI: Don't require "type" on box trash:get.
The standard box files:get command does not require a type (so you can actually pull the type by using the get.
The Trash version of this command requires a type. This means that you have to basically try all three types in order to know which restore command to use (or any other trash command). If you could simply "get" the type, it would make things much easier, and more consistent.1 vote
