I want to be able to check the number of contents including file versions
The only way to check the number of contents, including the number of versions, is by visual inspection at this time.
It is very time-consuming and labor-intensive to just visually check the number of versions as the hierarchy increases.
Therefore, we would like to have the ability to easily check the number of all versions, even when the number of contents is large.
Example:You can make it the output target of the report, etc.

Box Mobile - need to "Add Comment" to a photo at time of capture
Need ability to apply a comment or description to a photo when it is taken if "Review photo after capture" setting is on. This was part of Box Capture functionality. With Box Mobile, currently have to take the photo and then navigate to Capture History, then locate photo, open it, select comment, and begin typing - that's a lot of taps :)
Quick access to the File Information - Description would be preferred over Comments because you are able to hover over the "i" tool tip and read whatever text was entered against the image file without having to preview the image on the web app. That's much more useful and efficient than just the comment icon on a file.

User Classification
Our organization uses Box to manage our controlled documentation. To access this information people, need to meet certain criteria to access certain types of documents. Box is great for classifying documents, but we are looking for a way to classify users to make it easy to know if we are able to share a specific document with a specific user. We would like to be able to add a property, tag, or some other identifier to a user's profile that would allow us to classify a user as a specific type. We would then like this classification to become a visual part of that user's profile, so at a quick glance we can quickly determine the classification of the user when changing permissions or most importantly when sharing. Can we create this user classification field and then have that create a visual indicator (tag, color, image, etc.) each time that user appears in permissions, sharing people picker, etc. so we can quickly determine by a tag, color, or other indicator the classification of a user?
Today how we are working around this is by adding additional text to the "Profile Name" of a user "Your Name - (Classification) but would like to have a more formal method to classify users. As a second option, we have tried to use user profile pictures to portray a user's classification by color but unfortunately the profile pictures do not carry into the "people picker" when setting up a sharing request. Both of these are workarounds vs. having a specific user classification property on the user profile.
To summarize the ask is for the ability to tag/classify users and have that visually appear when choosing users to share with or when assigning/viewing file/folder permissions. Thank you.

We would like to be able to use the annotation feature in our Excel files as well.
We would like to use the annotation function available in PDF and Word files for Excel files as well.
We would like to see this feature supported for realization, as it improves convenience and leads to increased work efficiency.(Japanese)

Limit the amount of data a user can download to prevent data theft by employees.
Limit accidental or intentional bulk downloads.
An ex-employee intentionally or accidentally connected his Network Attached Storage device to his Box account, and it downloaded big chunks of our Box data. We want to prevent very large amounts of data (client work and IP) from being downloaded by users, for example, within a logged-in session, within a set timeframe or by the size of the folder (ie. large folders over a specific size containing folders).
This could be set per user with an enterprise-level default eg. 5GB. If someone tries to bulk download, the admin is altered. Users can request that the lock be taken off if they have a good reason for needing to move large amounts of data to their local machine.
Currently, a 'Storage quota' can be set per user. I understand this to mean the amount they can 'upload' to Box. So, it makes sense to have a similar limit on what a user can 'bulk download'.

Integrated 360° image viewer
Integrate a 360-degree viewer into the preview to store, share and display 360° images with the possibility to pan and zoom around. Box is lacking this option right now and when uploading 360 images to Box they become flattened and distorted.
Here is an example of a 360° image: https://theta360.com/s/k5R3wbxz2ktwvKyBPpgdOFCwW

Instant Clipboard Copying for generated 'Share' links
I think it would be a good idea to have feature parity with the Google Drive sharing experience which immediately copies your share link to your clipboard when the permissions settings popover appears.

Change "Recents" list functionality
If a folder is shared with a user, the user sees all files in that folders in his recent list - no matter if the user has accessed the file himself, or the file was accessed by another user where the folder was shared with as well.
This doesn't make sense from my point of view. Especially in larger teams every day multiple files are generated and which the user never touches. Can you please change the functionality of the recent list in a way, that only files appear is the list which have been accessed by the user itself (actions to consider as a list entry trigger: preview, create, open, modify, signed).

Unsubscribe from notification on folder / file level
Our organisation (ad agency, 200+ staff) works for 70+ customers. The customers are assigend to teams. In Box, every customer has a project folder, and a team is assigned to a folder (with editor rights).
But not all members of a team work for all clients of a team, and even if the work for the respective customer, they do not participate at all folder/files of a customer. Regards notification this means that all team members are spammed with notifications for clients they don't work for and files or folder they never participated on.I would mean a huge admin effort for the folder co-owners if we would change the way of assigning users to a folder (currently it's done on group per folder-level, the problem wouldn't come up if every single user is manually assigned to every sinlge file/folder)
An idea would be that a user could get a "unsubscribe" function on a folder and file level. This would mean, they wouldn' receive notifications on the unsubscribed folders/files.

Display warning message on accidental uploads to specific folders
If a file is accidentally uploaded to a specific folder (viewer privileges granted) using BoxDrive, I would like the upload process to be stopped or a warning message to be displayed. Currently, files are displayed as if they were uploaded to the computer (locally) as a cache.

Metadata export with file upon download
We use box widget on our website for file upload. We have a metadata form/template that gets filled out, however outside of box there is no way we can use that data. We are looking to automate some process's it would be nice if the information that is filled out could be extracted with the uploaded pdf file upon download. Once the pdf has been downloaded the metadata that goes with the file is gone. I'm told that this isn't possible currently with box. Hopefully some consideration on how box can be used in automation process outside of its own environment could be looked into.

Collaboration Email Wording
The current wording of the collaboration email sent to users can cause confusion due to the name of the sender appearing in the "From" address. Recipients are not noticing the sender’s actual email address and assuming when they reply to the invitation, sent to them by [insert friendly name, e.g., Bob Smith], that their reply was received by Bob Smith.
The originating invitation sender’s name is included in the Subject line and body of the invitation, can the “friendly name” be removed from the From line? Can additional text be added to the From address that includes an all caps text message of “DO NOT REPLY”? Or, possibly, add language to the body of the email letting the recipient know this invitation is auto-generated from an unattended mailbox?

Folder and file reports are output in a tree format, making it easier to understand the folder hierarchy.
The new platform version of the Folders and Files report is sorted by creation date by default.
This does not fulfill the role of a folder tree report.
If folders are not specified, sorting by all folder/file IDs, etc. into a tree format is impractical and affects business operations(Japanese)

GeoIP Conditional Access
I'd like to see Box adding GeoIP filtering so that specified countries cannot access.
This is a standard we do through Office 365 where we don't even allow login attempts for most countries. We also have an exceptions list via IP address for safety to allow our office IP(s) to also access in addition to GeoIP filtering.

Allow exceptions for users/groups when setting shared link expiration at org level
We have auto-expiry and prevent users from modifying the expiration. We want to allow exceptions to either user/group/specific folder so we could have permanent links for storing files for web or other projects.

Separate folder move and copy function
As far as i understand, the move and copy folder function in Box Web is combined from a role perspective. That means a user must have Co-Owner rights to move a folder but also to copy a folder. I agree that moving a folder means deleting the folder on the source location which may need elevated role. But copying a folder only needs read access on the source folder. So it would be great to separate these two functions and make the copy function available to users who have editor role on the target folder and have at least previewer (uploader) rights on the source folder.

Re-usable recipient groups on Templates
It would be great to have a Template feature in Box Sign where we can set groups of people as signatories.
Now we can only upload a document and save it as a template to send out multiple times to different recipients for signature.
However a lot of industries (e.g. movie/filmmaking) would rather send same type of documents (e.g. petty cash form / contract / purchase order / time sheets / etc.) to the same group of people for signing.
For that purpose it would be way easier to upload the specific files, click a template and the previously added people would pop up and we could drag them where they need to sign instead of always typing full e-mail addresses for everyone for every document.

Disabling Collections
Currently under Enterprise settings we only have the capability to disable "Collections Promotion" where users receive informational prompts about the feature, but we are in need of disabling the Collections feature for specific users or even the enterprise as a whole.
