Requests regarding Box For Teams V2
I would like to use the Box For Teams V2 integration, but the following functions are bottlenecks and cannot be used.
Therefore, I want to be able to turn off only the following functions in the tenant settings.
・Automatic creation of Box folders for teams/channels
・Automatic mapping of user permissionsIn most cases, Japanese companies use a controlled system in which the administrator owns the items.
However, if folders are automatically created or permissions are automatically attached with the Box For Teams V2 integration, control cannot be taken, so we requested this.

Box For Teams V2

Folders to which only managed users can be invited
【Request】
Regarding the "Restrict collaboration to within {OrganizationName}" setting in the folder settings,
I would like the definition of users recognized as users in the organization to be selectable from the following two options
・Users who have same domains OR Managed Users (Same as current specifications)
・Only Managed Users【Current specifications & Issues】
Currently, for folders with this setting turned on, users can invite others who meet either of the following conditions
- Managed users of the tenant
- Users with a Box account with an email address in the registered domainAs it stands, this specification allows free accounts of registered domains and managed users of other tenants to be invited.
It is not possible to realize an "internal-only" folder.
This problem is especially noticeable in cases where group companies use the same domain but want to separate Box tenants. This is strongly requested by our customers who are looking to expand their group companies, so please consider this issue.

Admin Console Report - Deployment Trends
A report in the admin console that tracks licenses deployed over a set period of time (e.g. month-to-month) would be helpful for understanding deployment trends and ensuring we have purchased adequate seats for our enterprise.

Reporting on Task Completion/Incompletion
Use Case: Customer sends Approval Tasks to clients. It's challenging to view in one report which tasks have been completed and which tasks are outstanding. While this information can be gathered from the User Activity report, it's really challenging to use because that report lists: task created, task assigned and task updated as three separate entries. It's challenging to link these three lines under the same task and know which ones are still outstanding.

Add Support for .icon
It's been 17 years since Box came online. Isn't it about time stop nagging about Mac's .icon invisible files when we upload a custom folder?
Or at least NOT stop the uploading process just to nag me about that?
It's metadata.
Along with .TS_FOLDER they're part of the system. The end user has no control over that.
Please either offer support for .icon or ignore it.
Just don't keep nag about it for the next 17 years. Please.1 vote -
Alert if classification label is changed
Send a notification when a classification is changed. When a classification is changed for a piece of sensitive content, there is currently not an alert or notification generated. Reporting capabilities on any changed classification labels are also important.

Relay:Enable/disable the "Invite assignees as Viewers/Editors" option
A new feature has been added to Relay called "Invite assignees as Virwers/Editors".
Perhaps, it is possible that, due to a mistake, users who should not be collaborating are automatically collaborated with.
However, in the current specification, the checkbox for this feature cannot be changed from enabled. We would like the checkbox to be able to be unchecked optionally.

Email to Box
Box to email is a powerful feature when combined with email services. If you would like to automatically forward emails when using Gmail, its either all or nothing (all the emails would have to be sent, or none).
This is due to the fact that Gmail requires a verification code to be entered when creating an email rule to addresses off the Gmail account domain.
If there would be a way to read the body of the message for the verification code, this could reduce issues with forwarding and the volume of messages forwarded to Box.

Not delete data flagged as "make available offline" when Box Drive is closed/logged out
Currently if data is generated and saved locally on a machine into the Box Drive folder, exiting or logging out of the Box Drive application will delete the local data on the machine, even if the folder it is saved into is marked to "make available offline".
We are a small physics research laboratory currently trying to migrate our data collection and storage from Dropbox to Box. We were disheartened to discover that if data is generated on a local machine, by collecting and saving it directly into the Box Drive folder, say, and Box Drive is logged out (by an errant user perhaps) the local copy of the data is not preserved. This seems to present a great deal of risk as if a set of files, just collected, were not yet synced and an inadvertent closure/logout of box drive occurred the data would be lost. Or, more likely a large repository of data which must both be kept on a local machine and backed up to the cloud service would have to be inconveniently re-downloaded after any logout. A setting to prevent this behavior would be greatly appreciated.

Ability to customize collaborator privilege
Want to automate the task of "when the viewer / uploader notices the need to update a particular locked file, ask the editor to confirm and approve the file update"?
To do this, from the perspective of user permissions, you need collaborator permissions that remove one permission from the viewer / uploader and grant one permission.-Collaborator authority that grants manual workflow startup authority to viewer / uploader authority and cannot unlock files.
By realizing this authority, the following workflow can be automated in combination with Box Relay.
(1) Lock the approved document managed by the editor.
(2) The viewer / uploader notices the need to update the file.
(3) The viewer / uploader starts a manual workflow for the file.
(4) The information is notified to the editor by Box Relay, and the editor confirms the content and approves the work.
(5) The file lock is released by Box Relay.
Box Relay assigns a task to the viewer / uploader that invokes the manual workflow.
(6) After the work is completed, the viewer / uploader presses the task completion button to proceed with the workflow.
(7) The editor confirms the contents and approves the file.
(8) Approved files are locked again by Box relay. The above is a specific story, but in general there are only 7 collaborator privileges, so many BOX users may have tasks that they want to perform but cannot. There is a possibility that all can be solved by creating a customizable collaborator privilege that allows each item to be set freely.

Continuous Capture Most Recent Folders

Continuous Capture Zoom Out iOS
In continuous capture in the Box iOS app, the amount you are able to zoom out is limited, compared to when using the general camera on phones. It would be great if this limit did not exist.
Note: When using a single photo mode (not continuous capture), this zoom out limitation does not seem to exist.

The option to separate file and folder permissions for a specific folder tree.
We have a folder structure that we use for our external partners where each external entity has their own subfolder. Our internal user community needs Editor permission to manage the files – move, delete, and rename but that gives them the ability to accidentally drag one external partner’s folder into a direct competitor’s folder. This would be a disaster. If I could give our internal users File-Editor and Folder-Viewer Uploader permissions the likelihood of the above mistake would drop significantly.

Box Sign - Add a login button to the page
When clicking a Box Sign link from an email, if the user is not logged into Box in the browser session, the user cannot access saved signatures. A link should be added to the Sign page to allow logging in directly. Currently, the work around is to close the tab, open a new tab, visit app.box.com, sign in, and then re-click the link or navigate to the document. It would save a few clicks to add a sign in link to either the saved signature tab or to the top of the sign page.

Box Relay: Allow File Requests to be "returned" and resubmitted
It would be great if Box Relay had a feature for workflows triggered by a File Request to be "returned" for edits. The Workflow Starter could revise and resubmit their files without seeing other applicants submissions within the same submission folder or resubmit to the same file request link and overwrite their previous version.
Right now they have to resubmit and their original version is retained. The resubmission would overwrite the old version so there aren't two or more separate versions within a given folder. It is confusing for committees who go through many rounds of revision to have multiple versions of the same file.

Box Sign, additional variant of Multi-Factor Authentication
Hi,
it would be nice if we could authenticate us with our Box Login. Not all member in our company have an business smartphone or wanna send a separate information with the password to all recipients. I know, not each person has Box, but it would make our internal communication much easier, cause we wanna use Box Sign for participant logs, internal agreements, handovers,... And a confirmation via the box login (possibly including TOTP) is more than sufficient for us
Best regards,
