Ability to view reports as a group administrator
I would like to see a fix for the error that occurs when a group administrator displays a report.
If you try to view the report as a group administrator, you may get the error message [Unexpected error.] error may occur.
The current workaround is to run a report.
We use the report function when we need to take immediate action for recovery, but if we use [Run], which takes a long time to output, the action will be delayed, which is a problem for our business.
Therefore, we request that the function of displaying reports be migrated to the new platform and that the reports be modified so that they can be used correctly.

Box Shield - Internal users on lists
Would like the ability to add internal users in addition to external collaborators to Shield lists. Right now we can only apply the Shield access controls to external collaborators outside our EID. We would like the lists to be able to b applied to our internal users as well to create policies around specific users and groups. Would provide much needed guardrails for the business groups inside our instance

Save MBOX Files into PST Outlook on Mac OS - CubexSoft
I would like to recommend the CubexSoft MBOX to PST Converter for Mac. This application export bulk of your MBOX files to PST file format. you can simply manage all the conversion tasks with a self-descriptive, easy user-friendly interface. It is designed by considering the requirements of beginners as it doesn’t have essential hands-on experience and technical knowledge. With its free demo facility, you can simply understand the whole conversion process and feature functionality of this software.

I would like to have a collaboration role that only allows me to reference shared links.
I would like to have a collaboration role that only allows me to reference shared links.
Alternatives (1) through (3) could not be adopted for a reason.(1) Why not just use the Previewer?
I want to collaborate from the top of the folder tree to prevent confusion about where I collaborated.
For this purpose, I want a collaboration role that can only refer to shared links that cannot refer to other files.(2) Why don't we just create a shared link that is open to everyone and add a password?
If you make it public, you won't know who has accessed it.
Even with a password, there is a possibility of leaks.
If you are a collaborator, you can restrict the disclosure to collaborators only, so it is secure.(3) Why don't you invite only the files you want to show?

Ability to view the contents of the login page on the login screen on Box Drive
Currently, the login page settings that exist in the tenant settings are only visible in the web browser, not in Box Drive.
Since many of our tenants use Box Drive, we would like to display the contents of the login page on the login screen on Box Drive as well.(In Japanese)

Allow Marking Folders as "Move Locked" To Prevent Users From Moving Certain Folders Regardless Of Permissions
Our admins are constantly dealing with users who accidentally drag and drop folders into other folders. This can have a big impact across our org, especially when a high level folder that's shared across the company is moved. Here's a common use case:
We have a top level Projects folder. That folder contains a subfolder for every organization we do business with. Those Organization folders then contain subfolders for individual projects. We'd like to be able to mark the Organization level folders as Move Locked so that our users don't accidentally move folders from one Organization into another. This happens constantly in Box Drive.
The idea would be that an admin can mark a folder as Move Locked, and the folder would be identified with an icon letting users know that it's move locked. The only way to move it would be for an admin to unlock it first.

49 votesThank you for the suggestion. Box currently offers the ability to lock folders using the folder lock API - https://developer.box.com/reference/post-folder-locks/
We do not have a feature on our roadmap to expose this functionality from Box Drive. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.
Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

Request for improvement of mail upload function
I found a problem with the current mail upload function, so I would like Box to improve it.
[Request (1): Adding Management Console and Folder Settings]
Users with Editor permission can change the settings of the folder's mail upload function.
However, I would like to add the ability to restrict this permission to owners and co-owners to the administrative console and the settings for each folder.[Request (2) Timing for saving the settings of the mail upload function]
If you click "Allow uploads to this folder via email" about the mail upload function of the folder, the URL for the mail upload will be issued immediately and the setting will be saved, but if you make an operation by mistake, you cannot return to the original URL, so I would like you to improve it as follows.Working with the Mail Upload Feature in Current Folder Settings
① Click "Allow uploads to this folder via email" in the folder setting.
② A URL is issued for mail upload.
③ It is applied immediately without pressing "Save Changes" in the upper right of the screen.Working with the Mail Upload Feature in Improved Folder Settings
① Click "Allow uploads to this folder via email" in the folder setting.
② A URL is issued for mail upload.
③ This setting is not applied immediately and is saved when you click "Save Changes" in the upper right corner of the screen. A user who performs an operation by mistake can prevent the setting from being changed by not saving the setting change of the folder.[Request (3) Checking the change history of the mail upload function]
I would like you to provide me with a way to check the log (who made what changes and when) when users change their mail upload settings for a specific folder. I can't find out who changed my mail upload settings at this time.[Request (4) Behavior when sending mail to a non-existent mail upload URL]
If the user accidentally changes the URL for the mail upload, the previous URL is invalidated. If you send the mail upload function using the previous URL, the following mail will be sent from Box.Subject:
Unable to process mail requestArticles:
Your attempt to email file (s) into 'a folder' was not successful. From this email, the user knows that the upload failed but does not know to which folder the upload failed. By including the information about the folder in this mail, the user can know which folder the mail upload failed, so please add that information.
[Background to the Request for Improvement]
・Users upload faxes that arrive at the multifunction device as e-mail attachments to the fax folder of Box using the mail upload function.
・Since each user has to move or delete the uploaded files, the user who collaborated with Box's fax folder has been granted the rights of an editor.
・Each user is optionally configured to receive an email notification when a file is uploaded to the Box fax folder.By performing the above setting, the paper ejection of the fax is eliminated, and the PDF is directly ejected into the Box and the reception notification is received. Fax reception can be confirmed even on different floors and when teleworking, so printing costs are not incurred, loss is prevented, and there is no need to scan later.
However, a user with Editor rights accidentally clicked "Allow uploads to this folder via email" in the folder settings and reissued the URL for the mail upload.
As a result, files uploaded to the previous URL were lost. In addition, since it was not possible to check which folder and when the setting was changed in the report, etc., it took a lot of effort to identify the folder. This is how the request for improvement came about. We are currently taking measures by increasing backup methods.
Please consider it in order to make it simple and safe.

Box Shield Smart Access - Require approval when doing a Business Justification override of a Classification
I want to allow team members to override a Box Shield Classification/Access Policy with a Business Justification ONLY IF the appropriate person approves the override.
"Appropriate person" would be 100% configurable and different across different Classification Labels. Options like:
- Person who created the Classification Label
- Main Admin or Co-Admin with appropriate permissions
- An assigned authorized person or group (e.g. legal, compliance, infosec, IT, folder or file owner).E.g. scenario #1: "Highly Classified" label - only Admin, Co-Admin with Shield permission, xxx person in InfoSec, or yyy person in IT could approve the override.
E.g. scenario #2: "Internal Only" label - only Admin, Co-Admin with Shield permission, any person in the InfoSec Group, any person in the IT Group, or the folder/file owner could override.

Send Box Events to Amazon EventBridge (Partner)
We would like for Box to be an AWS EventBridge partner:
https://aws.amazon.com/eventbridge/Box would push events to the AWS EventBridge using the EventBridge partner API. EventBridge supports at-least once delivery, so Box events should be sent to EventBridge at-least once. With Box as an EventBridge partner, all Box customers would be able to natively integrate Box and EventBridge.

Comment Replies and Thumbs Up/Down
It would be great to give a comment a thumbs up or down and be able to reply directly to someone's comment (ideally showing it indented under the person's comment, not at the bottom of the Activity/comment sidebar). This would help collaboration!

Capability to finalize files
It would be useful if it's possible to "finalize" files. Means some persons work on a file together until it is finalized and then prevent any further modification on the file. There is the Lock function, but then the person who locked the file, could still unlock it.

Ability to print PDF documents without downloading
In order to make it easier for the end user to print PDFs it'd be nice to have a print option directly in the context menu (both in the document preview and on document list).
As PDFs tend to contain forms to fill in either interactively or manually it might be consiedered as useful to print them directly from the browser. Currently it's not possible as after user hits 'command + P' there's only 1 blank page to be printed.
The current user path for printing a PDF is:
1. Open a PDF in box webapp
2. download it to desktop
3. Open in another PDF viewer (chrome, adobe reader etc)

Open multiple tabs
Multiple tabs. We would like the ability to open different files (which may or may not be in different folders) in a tabed structure so that examining these files or reexamining these files during a discussion of their contents would not require a succession of closing and reopening files. We are proposing a structure similar to the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge tabs.
