Remove classification and move data to a different classification
We would like to deprecate a particular classification and move all of the data marked under this particular classification to a different classification.

Don't files separately from directories.
Currently a click on the "Updated" column will sort the contents of a directory by the updated date, except all folders are listed first followed by files, rather than a complete sort of both. This is frustrating and unexpected. Please just sort the entries, regardless of file or folder, so items show up where they are expected and are easier to find.

Collections items are not allowed to be dragged and dropped onto Trush.
Users can drag and drop folders and files registered in "My Collections" and "Favorites" to "Trush".
In this case, the folders and files will be moved to Trush.
On the other hand, the user recognizes that this operation unregisters "My Collections" and "Favorites".
This difference in perception caused operational problems.
A user has moved a folder containing tens of thousands of files from "My Collection" to Trush, which has stopped the business of that person.
My request is:
Folders and files displayed in "My Collections" and "Favorites" are prohibited from being moved to Trush by drag and drop.1 vote -
Allow us to change sharing settings on multiple "image" files at once!
It's a HUGE pain in Box. You put 20 or 30 images into a Box note, and you want to share that note with someone at your company, but outside the team that has access to that folder. You must MANUALLY click every single image, open sharing settings, change to "View to anyone at my company".
If Box could just make it so that if we change the sharing settings on the folder containing the images, all the images would have the same sharing settings, OR allow a multiselect of images to change sharing settings for all images at once, it would be a huge time saver and would also prevent us from the constant annoying "I can't see the image files in the document you shared" message.

Allow users to easily set retention on an individual file or folder
End users need to have the ability to easily apply retention policies to individual documents. They should be able to click an apply policy button, choose the policy and click OK
Policies should be able to be configured so that users only see policies that apply to them or they have access to.10 votesPlease help us understand the use case more, as the ability to apply retention is typically not extended to end users.

Add ability to delete workflows owned by a deleted user
Workflows owned by a deleted user cannot be removed/deleted. The administrator should have the rights to remove workflows.

Show Favorites/Collections when using Copy/Move
I often move things to a particular folder over and over again. It sure would be nice to see my Favorites in the Move/Copy window!

sync to a RAID
Our global video team need a cloud solution that can be saved to our external RAIDs. We need to store and access TB's of footage. Desktop hard drives are no large enough.
We could potentially use the older 'Box sync', but we understand that it is due to be phased out, and it does not support selective offline/online syncing, which we need.

don't show files till all the files are uploaded
I often send files to coworkers and I dislike that the file is downloadable to them before it's actually fully downloaded to box. This ends up creating a corrupt/ non-workable file for them. Also I think the files should not show up on their end before all the files are completely downloaded, in batch uploads because I will have coworkers then say only some of the files are downloaded and it looks like a mistake when it's just still uploading. Thanks!

Documents within Folders
It would be helpful to have the ability to highlight all documents in a folder (the file names) and paste into Excel to evaluate. If this is already possible please send me instructions jill.hall@lennar.com

My folder has disappeared on 25th Feb
For some reason my folder called "NewCo spin-off" has disappeared on 25th of Feb. I talked with IBM support for 2 hours, the girl said that she will raise a ticket but she didn't. Below is the chat. Can you please investigate this issue - why did it happen? People were using it and all of them ask me where the data is.

Notify or provide options on password protected files in Automated Classification
When running automated classification, files containing passwords will not be checked for PII information. This means they are potentially at risk of getting shared externally. There should be options to classify them if they are password protected or it should have the option of alerting.

change font style
It would be great if we could have more text customization options. Especially changing fonts. Font style can alter your workflow, it's really important for me, and i think that for others as well.

Group members notification of Folder/File sharing
When adding a new user in a group. Notify the user of the group folder access.
Add the User to the Group 1, If Group 1 have access to Folder A and Folder B.
Notify the user of his new access to Folder A and Folder B.Share Folder C with group 1. Inform Group 1 users of their new access to Folder C.

My Mac will not show JPG or PDF thumbnails
I am using Box Drive instead of Box Sync. Now I cannot see thumbnails of JPG's and PDF's and it is very frustrating for my work.

We would like the ability to choose/change the thumbnail of an MP4 file. The random thumbnail
of my latest project shows our guest speaker in an awkward manner. We don't want her to be hesitant to share it! We offer a library of MP4s and consider thumbnail modification an esthetic/branding opportunity.1 vote -
High Security Permissions Risk with Box Teams Integration on Private Channels that gets Box folder Auto-Created
Box support needs to address this error immediately.
Currently, Teams Private Channels are not supposed to have the ability to add the Box app. The behavior we've seen is that if the private channel already exists prior to adding the Box app to the Teams group, the Box app gets added to that private channel as well where it auto creates a Box folder. It works if private channel is added after Box app has been added to the Teams group.
The response I got from Box support is that they are planning to eventually integrate the Box app in private channels.
In any case, Box for Teams Permissions seems to be adopting the top level permissions from the Teams group level is posing a high security risk to the permissions that should only be allowed to private channel users. Users from the same Teams group can access the private channel folder created in Box and can modify anything.
Since Box won't fix the auto-creation of folders from a private channel, Box will need to auto-identify to only allow the permissions to select users for the Box private channel folder that was auto-created.
Box support needs to address this error immediately.
