Ability to sync individual files,
The ability to sync an individual file would be very useful. I often just need a few files if i'm on a flight for example and don't need the whole folder. Copying into a new folder just to sync an individual file is not a great solution.

Can you modify the text in the prompt whenever sharing/collaborating with external users?
On the prompt page just below the continue button, can you change this "Not a part of Universal Service Administrative Company?" to “No, I am not part of Universal Services Administrative Company". Can you make it a hyperlink to enable external users to see and click on it ? The status quo now is creating a lot of confusion when collaborating with external users.

Automate email address for box folders
Our system automatically creates a box folders for each opportunity. In order to create an email for the folder we have to manually go into setting and create the email.
Can we have an option in the admin console to automate this?

Geographic activity report needs some serious geolocation / ISP attention
For organizations that actually care about their security, they probably find value in the reports Box can generate related to user activity, which includes the useful geographic activity report among others. I had high hopes the geographic activity report would make for a very easy way to screen out a ton of valid activity, leaving just things to investigate. Unfortunately there's several issues I've run into that make it difficult to impossible to easily screen out what is actually valid activity:
1) geolocation doesn't seem to be accurate when it comes to certain internet providers, including mobile, satellite, and airplane. For example, if flying on Southwest, activity is going to be reported as coming from Westlake Village, CA, because that's where the whois info for Row44 points. It is obviously impossible to determine a real location for Row44-based internet access, so it would be preferable for Box to identify this as actual "Airplane ISP" or something along those lines, a special category that does not have a geographic location, because then it would be easy to screen users who were known to be traveling on specific dates.
2) Unfortunately integration activity reports as coming from the service provider's IP space instead of the user who initiated the activity. This becomes a huge problem if you're using the Box to Microsoft Office 365 integration, because every single file your staff edit with an Office Online tool is going to create activity logged to a Microsoft IP, and in many cases, Azure-space, which can include both Microsoft corporate services as well as end user services. This means you really have little to no chance of determining if a given access was malicious from a compromised end user server in Microsoft land, or one of your real staff simply using Excel Online.
I assume there's some session tracking / data exchange allowing Box to determine the access is being authorized / performed by a legit user, from a specific IP; I'd prefer the activity be attributed to that user's IP, or at least have it as an option.
3) Some of the geolocation data seems to simply be wrong, while also not based on whois / IRR data, so I have no idea where it came from. This seems to be mostly associated with large internet providers, wireless, CenturyLink, Comcast, etc. That would suggest the source of the data is not particularly good. MaxMind seems to do a much better job at this; perhaps Box can consider using them to supply the data instead of whomever is supplying it currently.

Request for Supporting HTML tags for File Request.
Currently, there is no way to add HTML tags(i.e line break) into the title and instructions for “Customer’s Option” in the File Request
due to the explicitly prevented for security concerns. Since we cannot use line break for instructions, it is hard to read if the customer enter long sentence for the instructions.9 votes -

Visibility and controls on externally owned content
Box admins should be able to restrict their users from uploading or moving sensitive content to folders that are owned by another Box instance. There should be controls around what defines sensitive content. Box admins should have visibility into what's uploaded or moved into the external folders in reports.

Your browser based video player is slow and doesn't always load files.
video player is slow and at least 60% of the time I have to download a video because your website won't finish loading. It regularly gets hung up on the last 10% and will just sit there. This issue is destroying my productivity, and I am forced to download the files to my computer just so I can view them. My computer doesn't have infinite space, that's why we pay for your service.

Backup Box Notes
I would like to have the ability to create a backup of my Box Notes or at least label version history (e.g. add a "v1.2" tag at a certain point in history).
I have tried using the Copy feature to copy the Box Note, but the copy does not retain the comments, annotations, or history.
I have tried copying the content into Word to no avail.
And there is no download button for Box Notes.7 votes -
Removed Collaborator Report That Show Affected Folder Path, Folder Owner, & Link To Affected Folder
Recently, my company ran into an integration bug between Okta and Box, which result in a mass deprovisioning of users account. We were able to reprovision user account fairly quick but there as a mass folder permission lost.
If the user permission was granted via a group, all permission was successfully restored. However, if the permission was granted individually, that permission was lost. Ticket was open with Box support to request for assistance with folder permission restore but they could not help.
So the next best thing was try to run "User Activity" report on "Removed Collaborator" on the service account that was use for Okta and Box, to see which user account and folder was affected. Sadly the report only show just the affected folder name and the affected user. This is an problem, since we ran into the following issues:
- There are multiple folders with the same name. Without the folder path or folder owner, it hard to confirm which folder was the right one.
- If the service account does not have permission to the folder, we can't search for the folder.
- We have no way of knowing if the folder was internal or external.
- We have no folder owner name, so we can't reach out to the folder owner to request for assistance with re-granting the permission.
So our second attempt to reach out to Box support was to request for a report that can provide us with the affected folder path and folder owner, but we were told there is not a way to pull that information.
This really ***** us over, as we have no mean to actively assist user with getting their permission restore. What we need in this case is a undo button to restore all the permission in the past 24 hours. But that asking for too much, so I just like to get a updated report for Removed Collaborator that show the following information:
-Date & Time
-Affected User Name
-Affected User Email
-Affected Folder Name
-Affected Folder Path
-If the affected folder is internal or external to the company
-Details (Permission that was removed)
-Affected Folder Owner
-Affected Folder Owner Email
-Link To The Affected Folder (so I don't have to spend day searching for it)I am sure my company is not the first or the last to run into 3rd part integration issue that could result in mass folder permission lost. Any new method for mass permission restore or new report that can assist in restoring user permission would be greatly appreciated.
