I want to have a download link for folders
I want to be able to create a shareable link that will automatically start a folder download when clicked.
So the user will click a link and the folder will download automatically to their computer.2 votes -
I would like you to implement a function that allows you to obtain information from login information when using "Box Relay".
Currently, you can use metadata when renaming files using Box Relay.
Similarly, I would like to be able to use the signed-in user's My Profile information as the value of "Available Variables".
(email address, name, company name, etc.)
Being able to use the information of the signed-in user allows you to obtain reliable information, which I think will improve convenience in various ways.Thank you for your consideration.

Synchronize Single Files in folders
We want the ability to synchronize individual files in a folder to the desktop rather than entire folders, allowing us to accelerate what is available in the WebUI faster.

heatmap
Would love a heatmap report/feature that shows how often particular folders (or files) are accessed (over a specific timeframe). This way you could quickly identify folders/data you may not need to keep any longer. This would allow you to identify folders storing stale or useless data that could be cluttering up everyone's view. You could tie this into policies that could auto-delete/archive folders that have not been accessed within a certain time frame.

Please add a customizable setting for the [administrator email address] section.
If a user tries to use an application that is not allowed by the tenant, the following error screen will appear.
Disabled by Administrator
This application cannot be used because it is not allowed by your Box administrator.
If you have questions, please contact your administrator at [administrator email address].
Typically, he/she is expected to contact the email address provided on this screen.
However, due to company operations, we do not accept inquiries at the email address listed on this screen.
This creates confusion because he/she sends an email and does not receive a response from the administrator. Therefore, we…

Request that multiple file requests not be created when creating a File Request using the API
When creating file requests using the API, multiple file requests can be created independently for one folder.
In order to avoid this phenomenon, I would like an API to be prepared to retrieve the created file request ID from the folder.
Or please provide some other workaround.1 vote -
Allow admins to promote a secondary email to a primary
Admins and co-admins need to be provided with a way, both in the admin console and via API, to promote a secondary email address to a primary email address while the "Prevent users from changing their primary email address" control is enabled. For security the swap should still be approved by the user. The current workaround to this problem is inefficient, as it requires the change to be rolled back and the user to make the adjustment themselves. When a co-admin rolls the change back, logs in as the user, and selects "Make Primary" next to a secondary email address,…

Viewer-Uploader Copy Experience
As part of our workflows, we copy template forms into other folders. Our users are not all comfortable using keyboard shortcuts to copy the forms so everyone needs to be an editor in order to use the UI to copy and paste.
We would like to see the UI for copy introduced for viewer-uploaders.

Allow End Users to run a Collaborations Report for Content they Own
As organizations scale, IT Admins may want to enable end users to manage their own content and who has access to this content. Users being able to run a collaborations report and/or a folder and files report on content that they own is important for enabling users to manage their own content collabs so that these responsibilities can be distributed, and don't necessarily fall solely on the admin and security teams who manage Box to audit content and associated collaborations. End users that own content should be empowered with all the tools necessary to manage who has access to content…

I wanted to be able to edit/upload to folders via editable shared links.
Ability for people outside the company to be able to upload to folders via an editable shared link. Currently this is only available for files and not folders.

Enable File Upload Notifications Programmatically
Ability to turn on File Upload Notifications when programmatically creating a File Request. https://developer.box.com/reference/resources/file-request/
This update allows users to do this manually but the API cannot turn on these notifications.

Workflow to delete all files in a folder on a schedule
We have setup request folders we send to external users to upload files. Currently we need to manually review the contents of each folder and remove any uploaded files before sharing.
We would like a modification to the delete workflow that would allow us to delete the contents of a folder. That way we can setup a scheduled workflow to remove all files in a folder at the start of each week. This way we can reuse the request links and know the contents will be deleted after a week.2 votes -
Ability to 'select all' or 'multi-select' items for moving between folders
Same as the title says: ability to 'select all' or 'multi-select' items for moving between folders. Why can't I select multiple files via a menu option, drag and drop, or any other method beside individually clicking every single item.

Enhance Content Insights for Box Notes and Box Hubs to Include Detailed Access Statistics and Click Metrics
I am requesting an enhancement to expand the current Content Insights feature for Box Notes and Box Hubs. At present, Content Insights only shows basic statistics, such as whether a file was accessed, edited, or downloaded. However, it lacks detailed insights into user interactions with specific links or images within these documents.
As many users publish content through Box Notes and Box Hubs, having access to metrics like link clicks and image views would be invaluable. This data would help users better curate and optimize their content to meet their audience's needs.
By adding these detailed insights, Box can provide…

Shield Classifications Following Content in Drive
In Box Drive, the classifications do not follow the content. For ITAR customers, I can copy a file from ITAR folders (with a shield policy) to another folder for non-ITAR content and share it without restrictions.
This works in the web app, but not in Drive.
