   I would like to input content directly from Claude Code into sources like Box Notes, but currently, I have no choice but to upload them as txt or md files, which cannot be edited within the Box Web Application.

   Since txt and md files cannot be edited directly on Box, I have to download them to my local machine and re-upload them every time I make an edit, which makes sharing and updating files extremely inconvenient.

   I understand that Office or Google files cannot be edited directly via MCP, but I would like to be able to edit Box-native content, such as Box Notes, directly via the Box MCP.

2. Want to Restore Data Within a Specified Period

   Content: The current Box feature does not have the capability to restore data within a specified period.
   　　　　While you can check the deletion date within the trash, it takes time to verify if a large amount of content has been deleted, making immediate response difficult.

4. Enable Box AI to Analyze and Generate Insights from Comments in Activity Feed

   Many users rely heavily on Box comments for collaboration and knowledge sharing. It would be extremely valuable if Box AI could process comments—summarize discussions, extract insights, and generate relevant content based on comment threads. Other chat platforms now leverage generative AI to distill conversation history, provide summaries, and surface actionable insights, all of which greatly enhance productivity.

   I would love to see Box AI extend its capabilities to include comment threads in the Activity feed, allowing users to gain more value from collaborative discussions directly within Box. Thank you for considering this enhancement!

5. Right click on a piece of information displayed on an Apps view in order to be able to copy it directly

   It would be extremely helpful to be able to right click and copy information directly from a Box Apps grid view.

   This will help us to easily paste into an external system and also into the Box search app we have created to look for the actual documents being requested.

6. Color annotations available when Offline on Mobile

   For use of Box document management functionality on mobile and tablet, we would like Box mobile to provide offline functionality, IE when the device goes offline, we would like a user to have the following capability
   - be able to view the document offline INCLUDING all the annotations that existed on it.
   
   - be able to create more annotations on the document WHILE offline
   - those annotations merged back to the online version when the device comes back online.

   Use Case: For field engineers that work in shifts in areas with limited and patchy internet access, they need to access a document (during their shift hours whether internet is availble or not) and all its annotations (notes and comments) from the previous engineer's shift. They also need to make their observations and comments on the document (even if offline), return to their office where the document annotations synch to the online version, for the next shift worker to take over and resume their work.

7. The maximum number of Platform apps that can be registered should be increased.

   Currently, the maximum number of approved Platform apps is limited to 100.
   If we create an app for each affiliated company within the tenant, 100 is not sufficient.
   We would like the maximum number of Platform apps that can be registered to be significantly increased.

8. Export Relay Workflows as a JSON file, and use JSON file for updating workflows

   Some customers have a large number of Relay Workflows that can be cumbersome to edit or update if changes to internal processes are made that affect a large number of flows. Having the option to download the JSON and edit that file, then reupload the JSON can allow them an easier way to make changes to existing workflows with bulk edits.

9. Feature that allows sending emails only to specific collaborator

   We are inviting multiple users from different departments to specific folders.
   In our operations, we wish to notify specific users within the department about a regulation revision. However, the current system only allows sending notifications to all collaborators, making it impossible to target only specific users.
   We request the implementation of this feature to enhance convenience.

    Hi, I was wondering if we could revert the workflow for sharing folders with other users. There was a recent UI/UX update that changed my Box such that when I share a folder with someone, it doesn't auto-populate my cursor in the "Invite People" field, and after typing the name of the person I'd like to share it with, pressing enter or tab does not select the person. The old Box used to highlight the first person that matched what you typed. Once the person is added, I also have to click "Send" manually instead of being able to press enter right away.

    It was very smooth when I was able to click "share," immediately type the name of my desired collaborator, press enter or tab to immediately populate the field with that person's email address, and press enter again to select "Send." Now, I have to either click the "add names or email addresses" field directly or press tab before I'm able to begin typing. This is a small but noticeable change that has slowed down my workflow when sharing folders with collaborators each day.

    Current limitations around File Requests create gaps for administration, automation, and reporting. There is no reliable way to retrieve a File Request ID from the UI or API, documentation is incomplete, and reporting capabilities are insufficient for enterprise use cases.

    Problem Details:

    Missing File Request ID Access
    The File Request ID is not exposed in the UI.
    The API does not provide a clear or consistent way to retrieve the File Request ID for existing requests.
    This blocks automation, integration workflows, and troubleshooting.
    Incomplete API Documentation
    The File Request API endpoints lack clear, end-to-end guidance.
    Missing examples for common workflows such as:
    Creating, retrieving, and managing File Requests at scale
    Mapping File Request objects to folders and users
    No clear explanation of how to reliably obtain identifiers needed for API operations.

    Would be great to see repeatable sections in the forms.

    So for example you have a set of fields related to some entity, and the user can add multiple entries of this entity by hitting to add additional sections with the same fields in it.

14. Issues with Filename Corruption and Large File Download Failures on Box

    I am reaching out regarding two issues I am experiencing when using Box.
    1. Filename corruption when downloading files on Windows
    Files uploaded to Box from macOS are showing corrupted or unreadable filenames when I download them on a Windows PC. The file contents themselves are fine, but the filenames become garbled, making it difficult to identify or manage them.
    This appears to be related to differences in filename encoding between macOS and Windows during the upload/download process.
    2. Large files cannot be downloaded
    Additionally, I am unable to download large files stored in Box.
    When attempting to download files of significant size, the download either fails to start, freezes midway, or results in an error. I have confirmed that my network connection is stable and that there are no local storage issues on my device.
    Could you please help investigate these problems or provide guidance on how to resolve them? I would appreciate any information regarding potential limitations, encoding behaviors, or recommended methods for handling large file downloads.

16. Box drive should only show and sync the selected folder and left the unselected online only

    Box drive now allows you to hide folder. Be frankly this is useless. Because for most the IT users, we normally enabe showing hidden folder/files option in Windows explorer. So for more prefessional usage, the Box Drive should only show and sync the selected folders. The folders not selected should be left alone online.
    One example, I have a box drive hosting many folders. Each folder hosting one project. The projects could be from different client. When I work with client A, I only want client A project folder to be sync and shown on my desktop. But now the other project folders are also included in the sync set. Even it is hidden but as said as long as you enable showing hiddeng folder/file option, you can still see, more importantly access those folders and files. This leads to potencial data leak.
    The Box Drive is a good product but clearly it is not ready to be an enterprise or professional solution like Microsoft One Drive.

20. Searching for Folders and Moving files

    Ever since the platform updated, it has become very difficult to move a file to a new folder by searching the folder name. I can search for the exact name of the folder and get a whole bunch of other files that aren't even close matches to the folder name. Before the changes we had no problem finding the correct folder.

    I am primarily talking about our 30 INVOICES PAID folder. This folder probably contains several hundred folders for each of the vendors that we use, with additional folders for each year. If I want to move an invoice into one of the folders, it does not pop up in my search. If I go to the main folder, 30 INVOICES PAID, I can ony see the first 20 or so folders. I wait for the other folders to load and they never do. So essentially I cannot move the file to where it needs to go.
