Box Drive uses all upload bandwidth when sync
Set an option to limit the upload (optional and the download) bandwidth when sync is in progress or upload large files, because when devices are connected to slow internet lines, it consumes the entire bandwidth and cannot work properly.
Note that this is a standad feature of other similar tools.1 vote -
Box File Request - Limit number of files and/or file type for upload zones
When creating a file request for a folder, we would like to have the ability to limit the number of files able to be uploaded in an upload zone from the standard 500 uploads. It would also be ideal to limit the type of files that are able to be uploaded. For example, if we wanted a customer to upload document x in pdf format, we could use these limitations to ensure they upload in the correct format and all in one file, instead of uploading 20/30 png photos of the document we request. While we can provide guidelines on…

Function to erase gridlines in Excel files when using BoxSign
We usually hide the gridlines of Excel files.
However, when we sign an Excel file using BoxSign, the gridlines is displayed in the PDF file.
Since the display of gridlines makes it difficult to understand the display of materials and affects business, we would like you to be able to erase the gridlines of Excel files even when using BoxSign.【BoxSign利用時にExcelファイルの罫線を消す機能】
4 votes -
Ability to create a stamp template for my company within Box Sign
I work in the field of mental health, where they require a visible "stamp" that denotes who received a document and the date it was received. It would be very helpful if I had the ability to create a stamp template within Box Sign which can fulfill this requirement. Currently, we would have to create a new stamp any time a document would need to be stamped, which is very time consuming. The only way around this currently is to physically stamp the document and then upload it, which is also time consuming.

Ability to stop sending email to people who has approved or signed the document by Box Sign
In Box Sign, once sign and approve by users are completed, an email is sent to all users who has signed and approved the document.
We would like to set up this email to be sent only to the requestor or specified users when approval is complete.(Japanese)
Box Sign ユーザーの署名・承認が完了した時点で、完了した旨のメールが署名・承認を行った全ユーザーに送付されます。
この承認完了時のメールを依頼者のみ、あるいは指定したユーザーのみに送付するような設定をしたいです。4 votes -
allow for setting schedule for a report that's been run (and saved) once
Hi
an (easily implemented?) suggestion: when a file report is saved and run once, it seems that it can not be easily re-run on a schedule - one has to create a completely new report and set the schedule from the start. This is not ideal - I like to test things out before I commit to a schedule. Can you allow admins to set/change the schedule for a saved report even though the original saved report is a one-off/manually run?

Whitelisting file types in Malicious Content scanning in Box Shield
We are currently seeing a large number of non-malicious files being marked by Deep Scan as malicious, resulting in a lot of false positives. These are files such as .gif or .doc. The primary way to reduce the false positive rate would be to improve Deep Scan's scanning capability. However, I think it would also be beneficial to be able to exclude certain file types that are unlikely to include malware (e.g. .gif) from being scanned.

Enhanced filtering/sorting when selecting folders and files
When selecting the affected folders and files the search filtering could use some enhancements.
I'll use the user filter options and search for a keyword but there are so many hits to filter through - it would be great to have some options on sorting the list. At the very least to sort alphabetically.

Additional versioning features
Additional features regarding the version history:
- The ability to manually update the version number of a document on initial upload. This would allow existing version numbers to match version numbers tracked in Box.
- The ability to add the version number tracked in Box to the file name when downloading documents. This would eliminate the need to manually update the version number in file names, which could be prone to error.

Customize Box Sign Message Shown to Signees After They Sign a Document
Ability to customize the message that is shown to signees after they complete the signature request. We have some use cases that only require one signature and it is confusing to end users when they see a message indicating that they will receive a copy after all parties have signed when they are the only necessary party.

Visual indicator of "Problem Items" in Box Drive taskbar icon.
Our users frequently have "Problem Items" or sync errors in Box Drive that they don't know exist. It would be incredible if the "box" icon in the task bar had a (red?) exclamation mark appear when there are persistent sync errors so that a user knows they need to check out the issues and fix them.
Otherwise they never know there are problems unless they happen to notice a red exclamation mark in the finder/explorer window if they are in the folder with the issue.

Support parenthesis in search
For investigations or subject access requests, the search queries that we need to run tend to include many different options that require combinations of boolean operators AND and OR.
For instance I might need to search for user first name or last name or nichname combined with the topics for the search. The search would take this form ideally:
("A" OR "B" OR "C") AND ("D" OR "F").As currently parenthesis are not supported in search, I must run 6 distinct searches to get the desired results (A AND D, A AND F, B and D...) and this results in…

Make editing password protected shared links clearer
When a shared link to document or folder is already password protected, and a user wishes to change the password, the password screen should be clearer as to how this is accomplished - possibly by an additional Change button or Confirm Changes

Save Sorting Preferences
When using Box in-browser, create a setting to change the default sorting preference. For example, so you can make the default sorting for all folders Name, Ascending. This is not currently an option and means every time you open a folder you need to manually resort it, as the default sorting is always set to Updated, Ascending.
33 votesThank you for the feedback. Do you have a file and folder naming convention you follow that will make the sort by name to be more useful than sort by updated date?
