Ability to export list of sub-folders when users select a parent folder.
Customer collaborate with external venders to share files and folders. In order to manage which folders and files received from external venders, the customer has to keep track records by using other system. Currently, users enter which date they received from which venders by manually. It is very helpful to export list of sub-folders in csv format to import this file to another system.

I want to divide the public folder setting of the shared folder
I want to open folders to an unspecified number of people in the company.
When I contacted the administrator, he said that he could not do it because there are only the following two setting values.
1."Anyone with the link", "Company users", "Invited users only"
2."Invited users only"Only the people in the company need to see it, so I would like to divide them into the following three settings.

Box Shield inherit classification on move/copy, not only on upload
Box Shield needs to have the ability for files to inherit the classification of the containing folder during a move or copy. Currently, a file will only inherit the classification if it is uploaded to the folder with a certain classification. Example:
File A has a classification of "Confidential" and is moved/copied to a folder that has an "Internal" classification. File A will not automatically inherit the "Internal" permission, and it either needs to be manually changed to "Internal", or have the entire containing folder re-classified as "Internal" so that all containing files then inherit the "Internal" classification.

Ability that restrict to create a file/folder on the root folder and move/copy to the root folder on Box Drive

Currently, we can perform operation create/move/copy in the root folder on Box Drive even though our enterprise set "Restrict content creation".
Of course, the files/folders are marked as problem items, but if we move to the folder directly under the root folder, it looks like they have been moved to the folder, so logging off from Box Drive or replacing with new device due to hardware issue may lead to lose some contents.3 votes -
Reduce file sizes with BOX capture
Please fix the BOX Capture app to reduce file sizes. It is impossible to work from home given how large of files are (they timeout during upload, they are impossible to transfer to DocuSign given the file size, etc.). Even when I change file size to "Small" under settings, the files are huge. I do not have this issue with other scanning apps, however, we have to use BOX Capture for work.

Select from favourites when copying or moving
I move and copy files to and from favourite folders a lot. Each time I do, I have to navigate through the hierarchy to find the right folder. It would be good if you could select from your favourites when moving or copying (as well as allowing full navigation). This would be especially useful to those of us who work on our own instance of Box, but also with collaborators.

Select folders from hard drive to sync with box
Rather than syncing to a separate Box folder on my desktop, I would an application that would make it able to flag folders and files that already exist on my hard drive. I would very much prefer to be able to open my Windows Explorer and right-click on a folder and make a selection that would automatically sync that folder from where it is in my hard drive to Box.

Select folders from hard drive to sync with box
It would be very convenient to have an application that would allow a person to go in from their Windows Explorer to flag folders that already exist on the hard drive that would be synced and updated on Box. I would strongly prefer this to having to sync things the other way around, as I consider my hard drive to be my "home base". For instance, I would like to just right-click on my work folder located on my hard drive, and then select an option that would flag it to be synced with my box account so that any…

We have multiple clients that we give access to several folders. I'd like to be able to send a single collaboration invitation, rather than inundating their mail with multiple invitations.

Ability to find a file or folder using just the ID.
Is Box working on an easier tool to lookup files and folders based off of ID?
I'd like to suggest a box tool where we can find the file and folder using just the ID. Having to run a 40+ min report on all of our files and folders anytime a user asks is very time consuming. I get 5+ requests a day.

Include types of virus for Virus alert email
Include which type of virus contained in virus notification alert email. If types of virus includes in alert, admin is able to identify that alert email was accurate.

Allow users to REPLY TO folder invitations
When I invite a user to a folder, they receive an email.
Today the email subject is:
My Name has invited you to work together in "Folder Name"
The From in the email is:
My email address on behalf of My name noreply@box.comIt would be extremely helpful for users to be able to reply directly to the invitation back to me. Instead, the users get an NDR.
We work with several other providers, and their notifications have the reply to: set as the user sending it.

Allow @ mentions in NetSuite Integration
The NetSuite integration does not currently allow for @ mentions to work in Box. It would be very helpful to allow NetSuite Box widget users to collaborate this way, instead of having to send an email, slack, etc. to the intended collaborator.
Note- I believe this is because of how NetSuite to Box handles provisioning; NetSuite only checks with Box for a user's permissions when the user is trying to access content. In this use case, the intended collaborator is not signed in at that point and @ mentions only are allowed when they are collaborated into the folder. Collaborating…

Make direct download link names editable
The direct file download link needs to allow for the name to be either changed by the user or better yet... the actual file name. Currently, the direct download link is auto-generated by Box to a random file name (with extension). This function does not work for certain scenarios where you want to host the file on Box and allow for download of a file and retain the filename.

Threat Detection Reporting
My customer would like to get a report of the activities that detection rule is processing to ensure that is actually working. They have one rule (suspicious session) that has not generated any hits and thus they don’t know if it’s actually doing anything or not.
