Include Folder Description in File/folder reports
Due t the large amount of files, folders and collaborators (internal and external) in our organization we heavily rely on folder/file reports to manage content and educate new users about the content layout. Being able to include the "Folder Description" in this report would be TREMNDOUSLY helpful. Is this something you could add in the very near future? Thank you.

Smart Access: Allow move/copy even with download restriction
Download restriction restricts external users (editor permission) from moving content within folders they have access to. There should be an option to restrict download but also allow for moving and copying within folders that have the classification policy because to an end user, this is not a download function.

Bring back home directory "mountpoint" on the mac
I don't know if it's just me, or some problem with the privacy etc settings that have been a moving target with OSX lately, but after my latest reboot on a fully updated MacBook I was greeted with a popup from Box Drive saying it is now fully MacOS 12 compatible, and lo and behold, my /Users/app/Box directory is gone. I can only access Box files from the Explorer, but not the command line. I never looked into what the Box drive was exactly, a link, a mountpoint, no idea, but I miss it badly.

Customized email subject for Box updates
I make Outlook email rules to keep all my projects organized, however I have multiple projects in Box . Issue being Box Update emails have zero reference to project or main folder name, so if I make a rule for Box Updates all my box updates get lumped in to one Outlook email folder. If there is any way to customize the email notifications(either custom project name or main folder name), please let me know. That would be very helpful

UI update - icon when Box Notes is downloaded
Please improve not to appear "upper right icon" text message like "Displayed X days ago" when the Box Notes is downloaded.

Generate report that includes folders where users have set notifications
We need a report that allows us to see which folders users have set notifications for.
If there is a problem that does not get notified, the administrator can check the report to find out what is going on.（In Japanese）

Add mycase integration.
Mycase is a legal management platform. While it has an integration with Dropbox, it would be very helpful for practitioners and firms using Box, if there was a seamless integration.

SFDC Box Plugin - Limit Navigation
Allow for a flag on the Visualforce page - to limit the navigation to the specific folder of the asset linked.
Meaning if viewing Account "12345" and a box folder is created, then the lowest that can be navigated to is "account 12345" and any of it's subfolders..

Enhancement to Search (contains instead of exact match)
Currently, when searching for potential collaborators in Share, Box requires you enter in the exact string to search for a user. Users with middle names, unique characters, will not pop up as suggested in Search unless these middle names or unique characters are typed in exactly as written for a user's account.
If we could search for potential collaborators without having to give the exact string, it would be easier and take less time to find potential collaborators in a large enterprise.

Disable all Web App Integrations with selective permit (whitelist)
There are many Web App Integrations and some are "added by default" or are "available". Would like to change this behavior to disabled by default and then selectively enable (whitelist) specific applications.

Download selected version when preview unavailable
Download currently selected version in main window when preview is unavailable on Box.com
Presently, if the preview is unavailable when reviewing file versions, there is a "Preview is unavailable" message and a "Download" button appears there, but it only downloads the current (latest) version, not the version selected in the side bar.
While the file is available in the side bar with the ellipses, the download button does not indicate that is will only download the latest version, and not the version selected (but not preview able) in the side. This has caused confusion with our employees as our large…

Time spent on the Box Resource
We would like to get information on the amount of time spent on a particular resource(viz like pdf, ppt etc). We looked into the api documentation and could not find this info.
when a user views a certain resource we want to log the time the user spent on the resource.

Add "disable for select users" as a Box Drive Mark for Offline option
A global Box customer is looking to disable MFO (Marking for Offline) for a selected users.
This would be a "symmetrical" counter-option to the existing "enable for select users", and also similar to how some other features can be managed within Box Admin Console, making the MFO options more consistent with broader Box experience for admins.2 votes -

Box Reports User Details - Distinguish download to local disk vs. download using Box Drive
Want a way to tell if the user downloaded it locally to their machine vs. just opening the doc via Box Drive/Office App/Box website. This feature would be extremely helpful to when a user is leaving the company and we want to know if they are “taking company docs”. Having “download” for simply opening and editing a doc is mis-leading. Would be super helpful to differentiate between the two.

Enhanced automatic locking of read-only files
Allow users to choose to lock or not lock the read-only configuration file instead of automatically locking it.
It also prevents the read-only attribute from being automatically released when auto-unlocked.

Drag and Drop documents from collections to different folders
Hey!
I keep frequently used document templates in my collections, and it would be great to drag them from the left sidebar and drop them into the current folder I am viewing.
If I want to copy a document template that is in my collections sidebar to a folder, I have to click into the document and then navigate to copy/move and then find the folder I was just in and select copy.
I hope this makes sense, but happy to discuss it further.
