Relay to outside email
I am attempting to create a workflow based on the uploading of documentation into a specific folder that will trigger a notification to our client to retrieve this documentation. However, it will not allow me to add this person although they are currently a contributor to the parent folder.

It would be nice to send a box sign document straight from Box Drive instead of logging into the web app and doing it from there. We mostly use the Box drive in our company.

"Are you sure" pop-up when dragging & and dropping folders
I'd like a pop-up message confirming if I'm sure to appear when trying to drag and drop folders on the web app. Especially in a GxP environment this is important to reduce risk of human error.

Folder lock API applying to sub folders
Currently when you lock the parent folder via the API, and a user deletes that parent folder, the parent folder doesn’t get deleted (due to the API) but the child folders within it gets deleted.
However, this is inconvenient because that parent folder just becomes an empty folder.
When the user tries to delete the locked parent folder, I would like the API to work to the folders below that parent folder so that it doesn't become an empty folder when they try to delete it.1 vote -
Group Creation Based on IdP Attributes
Please allow the automatic creation of groups in Box based on attributes being passed from the IpD. In my specific case I want to limit certain content to students and other content to faculty and staff. Having users automatically added to the group would help manage access to the correct resources.

Relay trigger for Microsoft Information Protection Labels
When a Microsoft Information Protection label is mapped to a corresponding Box classification label, that currently does not serve as a trigger for Box Relay. The relay workflow is only available if the file is manually classified with a Box label, or if it inherits a label from a folder. Being able to trigger really workflows based on MIP labels would add considerable value to the MIP-Box integration.

Need APIs for auto deletion of files and folders.
Need APIs for marking files and folders for auto deletion in future date. This feature is on the portal, but provided as an API.
Box can add this as an attribute to the file upload or folder creation API. Or a separate folder/file attribute API, so the date can be changed, if required later after its creation.
We are automating activities on Box.com using RPA, the APIs are faster and reusable compared to the UI automation.
Box should introduce APIs for basic features such as this one, so these can be done at the backend and it is more optimized…

Implement consistent error message for Box Preview across all file types
Facing some issue in displaying the preview for password protected files
Due to which we are unable to specify product standard error message to the consumers.
Please find the below description in details and attached.

NetSuite/Box - enable the ability to add the work order issue, work order completion, work order close records with the integration
Adding functionality to the work order issue, work order completion, work order close records would help customers that leverage the Manufacturing NetSuite module. At this point, it is not available through the integration because the above records are created dynamically and are not static.

Back up the data in the box to other storage in case of box incidents.
We want to back up Box to other cloud storage or servers in case we cannot access the contents due to Box incidents.
We would like to have the feature to migrate Box data to other clouds.Recently, there have been many Box incidents, and we need to take action to ensure that we can carry out our business in any situation.

Sharing UI
More clearly subdivide the "Sharing" panel between the upper "Invite People" section and the lower "Share Link" section. The minutely thin gray line between the two doesn't adequately differentiate the two options. New users will tend to complete both options when only one sharing method is needed.

I would like to have the ability to display folders fixed on Box Drive search.
We are aware that the search function of the Box Drive requires a search to be performed each time.
Since it is time-consuming to search each time, we would like a setting function that allows the desired folder to be displayed (arbitrarily selected) when the Box Drive search screen is launched so that folders can be easily checked.(Japanese)

Change Login Without Confirmation
We should be able to use the API/CLI to change a user's login to a new unconfirmed email without requiring their confirmation. This would mirror the behavior available though the Box Admin Console web page.
With the usage of SSO it is critical that the SSO Provider user email address and the Box login address remain the same. It is currently possible to use the API/CLI to add a new alias, have the user confirm it, and set that as the Box login ID. I feel it would be best to avoid the confirmation step.

File recipient splash page - download link is hard to locate, sign-up link is prominent.
It is confusing to clients that receive files from us in Box, that do not need them to have an account, when the link points to a splash screen that displays a prominent green 'Go To My Account' button in the top right corner. Below the button is the download link, but it is a nondescript grey down arrow without any text indicating that this is how to download. Many clients are confused and we get callbacks about not being able to download or log in. Please change it so the download link is at the top and is labeled…

password reset scheduling during holidays
I am writing to request consideration of scheduling password changes to avoid peak vacation times. As a citizen developer, I do not have a dedicated team to manage these changes and it can be difficult to find time to complete the updates while also taking time off for vacation.
I understand the importance of regularly updating passwords for security purposes, but I believe that scheduling these updates during times when fewer people are likely to be on vacation would minimize disruptions and make it easier for everyone to stay on top of this important task.
