1. Make it easier for Viewer-Uploader role to copy files

   File copy is not easy to access to viewer-uploader users (only doable via shortcut). This doesn’t help to implement a scenario where users need to create documents from templates they are not granted to modify.

2. Using Box for Salesforce on Salesforce Knowledge

   Salesforce Knowledge is useful for service organizations for keeping internal and external customers up-to-date on the latest support items.
   Box for Salesforce is a great way to manage assets related to specific Salesforce records and keep things organized.
   Making Box for Salesforce available on Salesforce Knowledge would save space, apply the same asset organization and save on Salesforce storage space.
   This would be different than the Box Community app which allows you to preview a specific Box file on a page.
   For internal support reps, using Knowledge to handle customer inquires on support cases would be aided by not having to navigate to Box to get additional content, or use the native Salesforce Files function which would mean having content in two separate places

6. Allow force download from web for red flagged files.

   On occasion, a discrepancy may be found between your local copy and the one on the web. I recommend adding the ability to override your local copy with the web version as a Box drive local option.

7. "Feature Requests for API Enhancements: Folder/Event Details, Access Dates, Upload-Email Modifications, External User Details"

   1. In copy/move/rename events, the API should include the id of both the target and origin locations (from-to)

   2. In file/folder get info API, the last access date of the file and folder should be provided (in addition to the modify date)

   3. A new event type for modification of upload-email properties, such as access type (in addition to the existing enable/disable events for upload email functionality)

   4. External users – get external users name and id in Get Enterprise Users api (this is currently not working), get an external user indication in Get Collaboration object

   In BOX.com, there is a field to show the “last updated by”, which shows the name of the collaborator who last modified the file.

   Would like the same feature to be available in Box Sync. We would like to tag the filename with the modified by collaborator via a script.

    This would be a great idea to start an app like Google Photos, which will backup photos from Mobile Device and easily accessible via app with thumbnails to the photos and organized in folders as per the need.

    This is a great idea, but is not on our 2019 roadmap at this time.

11. Move "Log in" green banner when viewing shared link while not signed into Box

    If you view a shared link while you're not signed into Box, you'll see a green banner at the top: "Log in to Box to securely share, edit, and collaborate on files in real-time with other people." The banner blocks the "Download" button on the right. While there is an X to close the banner, there are two issues:

    1) Less tech-savvy people don't know to close the banner and can't figure out how to download
    2) Others may think you need a Box account in order to access the content

    It would be helpful to either move the banner or maybe add some clearer messaging around the fact that you can still access the content without signing in.

    If you view a shared link while you're not signed into Box, you'll see a green banner at the top: "Log in to Box to securely share, edit, and collaborate on files in real-time with other people."     We do not plan to make custom terms of service more granular at this time, as the admin / user complexity of configuring and maintaining n number of ToS policies would be very high.

17. Drive: More granular controls when designating a file as Marked for Offline

    I tried to select particular folders to sync, but found that other folders that I had not selected were then trying to sync. I tried to stop them syncing, to find that then stopped the folders I was trying to sync. After going backwards and forwards a few times, Box Drive crashes.

    I just want this feature to work as it should, syncing just the folders I want and leaving the rest as online access only.

    What is happening is that when you click on a folder to select it and then mark it for offline, it is fine.

    The issue where all content is marked/unmarked for offline happens when you do not click on the item first to select it and instead go straight for the right click to mark for offline. What this does – when an item is not selected and you are choosing to mark for offline – it acts as if the parent folder is the one selected – meaning everything in the parent folder gets marked/unmarked for offline.

18. Make source.parent.name to include all of path

    source.parent.name show just folder name.

    For example, if the collaborator folder is A and it lcates “All files/A”. the customer get api.box.com/2.0/events?streamtype=adminlo..,

    source/parent/name just show A. This behavior make the user not to find the folder easily.
    It should be shown “All files/A”

19. Automatically transfer files based on the file's last modified date

    Desired: A tool that, based on last modified date, (automatically) transfers files to Box before or after a certain date.

    Currently: Users have to manually sort files by last modified date and select files to transfer to Box. For automatic batch transfers from personal machines or file servers, users would have to use a time-based job scheduler tool in conjunction with an FTP client.
