Scheduled Lock/Unlock capability
Add a feature that where owners can set up a reoccurring automated lock and unlock for day and time of the week. Same as you see in office outlook for reoccurring meetings, but with a locked file. This way users can only access the file/log during specific times and the owner can work the file when it's locked again. Currently, this is all manual and can cause issues when a report is still locked and users in different time zones need to add items to a log before a specific time in PST. Collect user info when a box link is shared with non-box users
The goal is to require non-box users enter their first, last name and email before accessing a Box shared link set to permission "People with the link".
I.E, user will click on the link, re-direct to a sign up page requiring first, last name and email. After submitted they are routed to the training videos hosted on Box.

Ability to store tagged images in one folder
Let's say I have a folder full of images of people. I'd like to be able to tag each person and then send them the images that they're tagged in only.

Avoid files loss upon uninstall
The current uninstall app, on macOS, doesn't check on the syncing status of files. It erases the unsynced and cache folders directly, not even moving them to the system Trash.
I've recently followed the process to update the BoxDrive macOS 12 beta and lost one week worth of files that hadn't been synced.1 vote -
Increase upload limit for files in a folder
For people like myself who have a large number of files that need to be categorized in appropriate folders it is imparative that I make uploading easy for my team members.
Box only allows 500 files per folder, which I understand is to prevent many files being lost at the same time, which I am thankful for.
BUT....
It would be great that during the upload process that box.com automatically created another folder to accommodate any files over the 500 mark.Don't you think?

Advanced web based Text/Code editor functionality
The box is missing a Web-based Text/Code editor, providing capabilities similar to Notepad++ with format & code-based markup using Scintilla-like capabilities.

Box should warn you when you exceed the character limit, not just delete everything you have written when you try to send the invite
It is VERY annoying to write a nice detailed note to the person you are inviting and then have it just disappear bc the character limit has been exceeded. Box should either not allow you to exceed the character limit, or at least have it refuse to send the invite but not completely delete everything you have just written!!!

Empty Folder Notification
Someway to turn on notification based on folder or another relay.
Where specific folders cannot be empty, and after a week or so it is empty, we get a notification and alert once a month about it.1 vote -
Box drive's system extension update
I am running BoxDrive version 2.23.422
After I upgrade my Mac (for example, from BigSur 11.5 -> 11.6), I get an error dialog the first time I try to open Box Drive. It says "Box Drive's system extension failed to load. Please make sure it has been enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy and then restart your computer. ....".
Reinstalling Box Drive and restarting the computer doesn't fix it. I found a workaround at https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051323454-Box-Drive-s-system-extension-failed-to-load which fixes it, but I have to apply that workaround each time I upgrade my computer. Dynamic File Requests
The ability to utilize File Request to send dynamic file requests. We often request multiple files from our clients. These requests can be 25+ items. It would be beneficial to send a list of required information where the client (external user) could could upload the requested file and the file would retain the name of the item on the original list.
The ability for external users (those with the file request) to see what items on the request list have been fulfilled and which items are still outstanding would be ideal.

Shield access policy customization - inclusion/exclusion list for downloading files
Interested in an inclusion/exclusion list FOR downloading files, as part of a Shield access policy.
Ex: If Owners/Co-Owners/Editors are OK to download they want control the file types they can download. I know you can control this by just creating a separate classification and policy but that could cause too many of them. Better to create an filetype inclusion list

Ability to prevent the admin passwords from expiring
We have our copy machines scan documents directly into Box folders. However those processes periodically fail because Box currently has no ability to stop the Administrator password from expiring.
Please allow an option in the Admin Console where you can select to have the Admin password not expire.

Improve Gmail Integration
I was hoping that the integration with gmail could be as robust as it is with outlook. I really enjoyed the features of the outlook Box integration and now that I'm on gmail it's a huge step backwards.

Improve the Box for Slack to have the ability to save messages in Slack to Box
My company's Slack has a 1-year retention policy and messages are to delete within 1 year. I would like to archive messages in Slack to Box (in any searchable form e.g. text, word, BoxNotes etc).

Enhancement to the copy link feature for videos
Is is possible to add the feature to copy link at current time in video on BOX ? We can send the link with this feature and the receiver will be able to open/launch the video at the right place with the click of the link (mm:ss).

Visual colour reference on files as a label
We currently use another cloud based system for image approval with a creative team. We are currently looking at moving this service over to box. Currently to approve reject images the team use labels. As a creative team they love labels as they are visual. A basic dropdown you can select against the image or multiple images that are colour coded without having to go in any sub menus to apply. Is there any plan to add a label function in box. Or is there one already that I’ve missed. I understand you can use tags/Meta data to do this…

Provide a separate label that feeds the "Metadata" tab in search UI on creation of a template
When user clicks on search options in the web app and on the metadata tab on choosing of the template the UI generates a Form to provide the values for the metadata properties. Today the Web App shows the Metadata Properties label defined during the creation of the template. Sometimes these labels do not read well during search. Example: If the label says "Closed Record Date (Required)" when capturing the values in the template it makes sense but when searching the word "(Required)" is feeding wrong message to user.
