  1. Ability to search content that is on legal hold.

    While this is a very understandable request, most customers are using a third-party eDiscovery tool and therefore we’d like to focus on higher and broader impact features.

  2. Add 'Released Holds' Section to Legal Holds UI

    Currently, there's no way (aside from digging through Box events) to look at Legal Hold policies that have been 'released'.

    This means that once a user clicks 'Release' on a hold, there's no UI for that hold anymore whatsoever.

    Digging through unique events in Usage Logs is not an answer to 'show me the holds that we've released - I want to take a quick look at the holds the team has been releasing recently'.

    REQUEST: Add a 'Released Holds' section to the bottom of the existing Legal Holds UI in the Admin Console.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

    We explored this during our initial investigations, and our customers told us they did not want record of prior holds in this view, thus potentially implicating them in still being responsible for the litigation.

    This is not planned work but may be reconsidered if there is a ton of customer feedback to the contrary.

  3. Upload Excel files on iPad to Box

    Would really benefit from being able to upload Excel files on iPad to Box for when doing remote work.

    Thank you for your feedback! You should be able to upload from the Office apps. Otherwise, this is an iOS limitation.

  6. Lite Users added to Groups when rolled in as a managed user

    When lite users are rolled in, the admins would like to have the ability to add users to groups within the WebApp UI, instead of having to add users to groups 'AFTER' they are rolled in

  7. Role configuration on group sharing

    In Enterprise setting -> Content & Sharing -> Collaborating on Content Tab, you can configure which role to enable and the permission those roles gets. This setting only applies to individual collaborator but not Group. You can disable Co-owner in that setting but still see it available when doing folder sharing with group.

    We assume that the setting above is a global thing and applies to both individual collaborators and groups, so we find it a little confusing.

    Can you put an extra option like "Apply the same role setting to group" in "Collaborating on Content" tab to better demarcate…

  8. Visually denote already shared folders as in Shared Folders interface for Group Admins.

    When adding folders to groups in new interface, a list of all folders is shown including folders that have already been added. This is confusing and can cause additional workflow, having to go back and forth to see what has and hasn't been added.

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on improving the experience to manage users before we add enhancements to the group management process.

  9. Have an enterprise-facing/admin notice that external collaborators have certain single-file upload limits (250 mb, 2 GB, 5 GB, etc.)

    Currently, the responsibility lies on the external collaborator (they receive a message to upgrade their account), but admin would like a way to know if external collaborators have these limits

  11. Blackberry Enterprise Mobility Suite (formerly Good) support for Box for EMM

    Our EMM solution is Blackberry Enterprise Mobility Suite. We have no plans for migrating to an alternate EMM provider.

  12. Allow third party mobile apps to "Use EMM" for login instead of direct Box API

    Instead of having users log into Box from other third party apps, have them use the auth from Box EMM. This allows Box to whitelist EMM for logins. Box should know for all integrations that the login from the 3rd party app is from a trusted device (since EMM is on it)

    We’ve explored this idea, but it does not appear technically feasible at this time. We are happy to revisit with additional demand.

  13. Error handling for session timeout

    When a users session ends and they attempt to upload a file using the drag and drop feature they are receiving a generic error message when they really just need to login.

    This is giving end users the impression they have done something wrong or Box is not working correctly

  14. Show the whole email address and file path in the notification email when a file is downloaded/accessed

    In current email notifications, we cannot (a) tell which organizations are accessing which files, (b) which projects they are accessing.

    Allow admins to create their own or edit the existing messages that appear when a device is blocked - specifically for what the steps to mitigate should be.

  16. Upload multiple files simultaneously in embed widget without creating zip

    We have a media-recorder PC that records presentations. We need to be able to upload these to our Box folder from there, but since it is accessible to many persons, we cannot be logged in to our Box acct and email for long periods while the large files are uploading.

    They are large files (500mb-1gb), and up to 45 of them, so zipping and unzipping would take a lot of time and PC power, plus we'd like to be able to share them as-is once they are uploaded, without having to download on a personal machine, unzip, then re-upload.

    I understand this request. However, it is not prioritized for development. We will let you know if anything changes.

  18. Allow Special characters to be searchable in content manager

    The ability to search with the filename and extension within quotes, i.e. workshop.one

    Right now, search separates the two and makes it difficult to locate the file, as it would be searching for "workshop one"
