Export transparent images using Box Canvas
When exporting Box Canvas as an image, I want to be able to make the background transparent.
Currently, when exporting Box Canvas as an image, the background appears white. Since there are cases where it's more convenient to have no background color when pasting into another medium, I would like the option to export only the elements drawn on the Box Canvas as an image, with the background set to transparent.

MFA setup as part of initial new account setup if new account is triggered by invite that requires MFA to access.
We're having an repeating issue with external users where they sign up for Box then, to access our content, they setup MFA. After MFA is setup, they are returned to the dashboard, but the link they clicked to start the MFA setup was to our shared folder. They then upload documents to their own personal space thinking that it is the shared folder.
MFA setup that is triggered by clicking into a shared folder that requires MFA should redirect BACK to the shared folder once complete. If new user setup is triggered by following an email that requires MFA, setting up MFA should be part of the new user setup.

Silent and Instant Copying of Shared Links in Box Drive
When using Box Drive via desktop sync (Mac=Finder, Windows=Explorer), selecting "Copy shared link" used to silently and instantaneously create a shared link and copy it to the user's clipboard. Since this was updated, a pop-up dialog opens in a new window and takes a few seconds to enable shared links and copy it to the clipboard. If the user navigates away from this window too quickly, the process does not complete, requiring them to start the process over. Then, upon completion, the user has to close the pop-up window.
This has also created hurdles when using Claude to compile a spreadsheet of public links, as the AI can't create public links itself and requires the user to manually enable shared links for every file.
Please restore the instant silent link-copying feature for a better user experience, or at the very least, allow users to enable shared links at the parent-folder level so users can quickly copy links for all the individual files within the folder. This will be a better experience and allow for faster batch sharing.

leave a note area to take note for each version of the upload
we will update one file with different versions, found there's nowhere to leave a note for each version, what part is changed. think that is necessary to identify the change quickly between each versions based on own notes

Request to Make Service Accounts Created During Box Automate Use Easier to Identify
When a workflow is created and saved in Box Automate, a service account is created (e.g., InternalPlatformUser1234567ABCDEFGHIJ@boxdevedition.com).
However, at present, it is difficult to determine whether this account was created as part of using Box Automate, making it hard to distinguish it from a suspicious user that may have been created maliciously.
Therefore, we would like the service account (e.g., InternalPlatformUser1234567ABCDEFGHIJ@boxdevedition.com) to be made more easily identifiable as an account created for the use of Box Automate.
For example, after a workflow is created in Box Automate, we would like a pop-up to be displayed indicating that a service account for workflow execution (e.g., InternalPlatformUser1234567ABCDEFGHIJ@boxdevedition.com) has been created.内容：

Bring back "Open Containing Folder" to the top of the Box Note menu (or allow customization)
Hi Box Team,
I would like to share some feedback regarding the user interface of Box Notes.
Previously, the option to open the folder containing the current Box Note was located right at the top of the hamburger menu. This was incredibly convenient. However, with recent updates, this option has been pushed further and further down the list.
To be honest, actions like viewing comments or inserting images are rarely used in my daily workflow compared to navigating back to the source folder. Having to scroll down every single time just to open the folder has made the user experience quite frustrating.
I would highly appreciate it if you could consider one of the following improvements:
Restore the original layout: Move the "Open Containing Folder" option back to the top of the menu.
Add customization: Allow users to reorder or customize the menu items based on their workflow.
Add a shortcut: Implement a dedicated shortcut button (or hotkey) on the main interface to open the parent folder directly.

Probelm: my academic papers are being flagged as HIPPA violations
Not really sure where to put this... I am a paleontology researcher so I put a lot of academic research articles on Box to keep them handy. Today, Box has started flagging these articles as containing confidential patient health information. These are research articles that have nothing to do with human subjects. I would like to report this as an inappropriate automatic tagging by Box's tools and have it removed so that I can access and download my files as normal.

Search behavior for mixed-case item names
Description:
Today, mixed-case names appear to be split at uppercase→lowercase boundaries when indexed. That helps for classic camelCase, but it breaks acronyms when the casing is slightly different.
Examples of how names seem to be tokenized
XMLParser -> XML + Parser
XMLparser -> XM + LparserProblem:
For both forms, searching "XML" should return the item.
It works for XMLParser, but not for XMLparser, because the acronym is not kept as a single token in the second case.We see other patterns, such as:
TOPaaa → searchable with TO or TOPa, but not TOP
WORKaaa → searchable with WOR or WORKa, but not WORKRequest:
When an uppercase run looks like a meaningful word (e.g. XML, TOP, WORK), please index that full uppercase segment as its own token—even when it is immediately followed by lowercase letters (XMLparser, TOPaaa).

Provide a Grid/Tile View Option for My Collections
The redesigned My Collections page displays Collections horizontally across the top of the page rather than displaying each Collection as a tile/card as in the previous interface.
For organizations and users with a large number of Collections, this makes navigation less efficient because only a limited number of Collections are visible and the remaining Collections are placed behind the “more” dropdown.
In the previous tile/grid layout, users could see and select all of their Collections from a single page. This was particularly useful when Collections are being used to organize frequently accessed business content.
Please provide a user-selectable Grid/Tile view in addition to the new horizontal Collections navigation. This would allow users with many Collections to retain the improved new interface while choosing the presentation that works best for their workflow.

Ability to export daily bandwidth usage.
When a traffic congestion issue occurs, we would like to use the bandwidth reports per user and folder (listed below) for our investigation.
However, since these reports are primarily available on a monthly basis and do not support daily usage exports, it is difficult to utilize them effectively for troubleshooting.

Box AI does not recognize text in image-based PDFs
Thank you for releasing Box AI for free.
I am currently using Box AI with the feature enabled. It successfully recognizes text in document PDFs and image files (PNG, JPG, etc.), but it does not recognize text in image-based PDFs.
When I take a screenshot of the content in an image PDF and save it as an image file (PNG, JPG, etc.), Box AI is able to recognize the text. This suggests that the issue may be related to the file format.
If Box AI could also recognize text within image-based PDFs, it would greatly improve usability. I would appreciate your consideration of this enhancement.

Allow Box AI Home Global Agent to take the same actions as Box MCP (i.e. feature/permission parity)
Currently, Box MCP (with Claude/ChatGPT/etc) can create, rename, move folders and files in Box, and many other things. It would be good to be able to accomplish the same simply by instructing Box AI (via Box AI Home, or the Box AI Agent step in Box Automate).

Allow api.box.com in Box Connectors for HTTPS Request steps in Automate workflows
Please allow the HTTPS Request step in Box Automate to make requests to the Box API (api.box.com).
There are many things not currently supported natively by Box Automate steps which could be solved if the HTTPS Request step/outcome were allowed to consume the Box API.
For example:
- generate Box access tokens
- get file EXIF data from Box representations API
- lock files
- create shared links
- get number of files in a folder
- get file path
- create shared link passwords
- applying metadata cascade policies
- metadata extraction on a group of files (rather than just one file at a time)Please allow the HTTPS Request step in Box Automate to make requests to the Box API (api.box.com).

Automatic Box Canvas Creation Based on Instructions to Box AI
Currently, Box Canvas provides templates, but users still need to create the content themselves each time, which can be burdensome.
To further reduce user workload, I would like to request a feature that allows Box AI to automatically generate a Box Canvas output based on user instructions.

Add folder picker element to Box Forms
We like the potential use of box forms + doc gen to create documents that share information, but a challenge for us is placing the generated documents in the right end folder. Currently, when filling out a Box Form, there is no way to target any folders in your box environment.
If you want to use doc gen, you need to specify the final destination folder when you create the relay. Given our folder structure, this is not possible, and it limits cases where we could use this.
Proposal: Introduce a permission-scoped UI Folder Picker element to Box Forms so that you have access to that folder in Box Automate.
