Revert UX for creating folders
Hi, I was wondering if we could revert the workflow for creating folders. There was a recent UI/UX update last week that changed my Box such that when I create a folder, it doesn't auto-populate my cursor in the "Name" field, and after typing the name of the folder, pressing enter does not create the folder.
It was very smooth when I was able to click "new folder," immediately type the name of my folder, and then press enter to immediately create it. Now, I have to either click the "name" field directly or press tab before I'm able to begin typing, and in order to create the folder I have to press "create" with my cursor or press tab five times before pressing enter. This is a small but noticeable change that has slowed down my workflow when creating multiple folders each day.

Need more explanation for "Unknown IP" on User Activity Report
It would be helpful for the User Activity Report to show something like "Box internal IP" or "Legit IP" in the IP Address column when the IP falls into "Use Box’s internal IP address".
Customers sometimes want to know the reason of "Unknown IP" description for their User Activity Report events.
The article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/4415012490387-User-Activity-Report says "Unknown IP" is shown when the IP address falls into "Spoof an IP address", "Use a VPN proxy", or "Use Box’s internal IP address" situations. If it falls into "Use Box’s internal IP address" situation, customers do not have to worry about it because it is a legit IP address.
If it falls into "Spoof an IP address" or "Use a VPN proxy", they might want to investigate how it happened on their end if needed.
However, they can not find which pattern it falls into from just the "Unknown IP" description. For example, if the User Activity Report shows something like "Box internal IP" for "Use Box’s internal IP address" pattern, customers can tell that they don't have to worry as long as it shows "Box internal IP" since it was kicked by a legit IP address.
This is an improvement request.

Ability to edit shared link settings on Desktop
Currently, the only way to generate a shared link on Desktop is to generate the default style link (i.e. shared only within your company).
In order to get to the share settings window dialogue, you currently need to open the file on web.
It would be great to incorporate the share window dialogue natively in PC/Mac. This is a common feature currently available on OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive.

Notifications + Override ability for Folder Owners when a folder is Deleted by a Collaborator
When in Box Drive, collaborators can inadvertently delete a large folder, even if they don't own that folder. Before the folder is able to be deleted, the owner of the folder should receive a notification with a warning (e.g. Jane Doe is about to delete your files) and the owner should have the ability to override the action. In the case where the Owner is no longer at the company, there should be an Admin warning and ability to override the action.

Set default on how to display a link
I'm not sure when this was added, I didn't see it in the release notes. But when pasting a link into a Box Note, there are now options on how the link is to be displayed. It defaults to "Display Link Title". Can you please add a setting to change that default to another option?
"Display as URL" is far more useful when you are pasting links (for example) from Jira or ServiceNow, where "Display Link Title" only says "Jira" every time, forcing you to go into each link and changing it to URL to see every link.

Add a normal Search Bar to Hubs
The AI is not great. I have written instructions for staff to follow to troubleshoot something. The AI mixes steps and adds incorrect information so that it makes it useless.
We need a normal Search Bar that can be typed into to find matching key words. It can just have up and down arrows just like "find in page" that allow you to skip through the hub to the related content.1 vote -
Access Policy to Restrict Access to Specified Groups
With Hubs, users' ability to add content to a Hub increases the chance of accidentally giving access to unintended internal users. For sensitive content, it would be nice to be able to have an access policy applied to specific classification that restricts document access to users in specific groups to prevent internal data leakage.

Create a New Folder Bugs - cursor not in text box, no return to create
Sometime in the last month, there was a UI update with Box that changed how creating a New Folder functions. Now, when creating a new folder, the cursor does not start in the name box, so you have to manually click into the box to start typing. Secondly, you can no longer press enter/return to create the folder; you have to drag your cursor and click the "create" button. This combination has been a frustrating change for seemingly no reason. Renaming a folder still automatically lets you type in names and press return to create, so it's definitely an accidental bug. Please fix asap!

Create folders in bulk by a specific destination folder using Relay at run time.
Hello,
As an example for you: our practice uses box.com for our architectural packages. Currently when we want to create a new project folder with specific names and sub folders we have to duplicate an existing set of folders and rename them all then move them to a new location.
It would be helpful if Box Relay could let users choose a destination folder in Box at run time as part of a “Project folder creation” workflow.
For example, during a form submission (or via a simple pop-up), the user could browse/select where the new project folder—and its standard subfolders—should be created.
Right now, Relay requires the destination folder to be predefined in the workflow. That means we have to create a separate form/workflow for each client or brand just to point to a different parent folder.
What we need is a single Relay workflow that:
- Collects the project details,
- Creates the standard folder/subfolder structure,
- Applies naming/renaming rules, and
- Lets the user select the correct client/brand destination folder each time.

Box for Salesforce app: enable conditional display of another record's folder rather than creating a new folder for a particular record
Enable conditional display of another record's folder rather than creating a new folder for a particular record. Ideally, this would be able to be done in the lightning page when you add the Box component to the page, by allowing the admin to select a record field, or a related record's field (not just a label) where the folder id is stored.
Use case: allowing a parent record's folder to show in all of its children so that all of the documents related to the parent are stored in a single place.

I am a fan of central management of users. One feature is the admin's ability to create password for the accounts.
As long as I have known box, there should be a feature that allows the admin of the company account. to create users and assign their passwords. This is a key factor in central management and control. It is almost a red flag for me, on implenetation.

When using Hubs for content management, a search bar would be stellar!
Include a function to search within a Hub for specific terminology. This would make it more user-friendly for all stakeholders in an organization using Hubs for content management.

"Bob has accepted the invitation to..." (x1000)
Getting these automatic emails each time a folder is shared bogs down my notifications. Is there anyway I can turn these specific notifications off? Alternatively, could I please disable the "Automatically accept initiations" setting for the company as admin?

Box Preview - Support native preview of .XLSB format
For regulatory requirements, users are required to have the 'Previewer' access level on certain content to avoid Download permissions.
However, this means the user is unable to use Excel Online Previewer (due to this requiring 'Download' permission), nor open the file in another editor.
Unlike the .XLSX or .XLSM formats, .XLSB files do not generate a PDF conversion, which makes these files fully inaccessible to Previewers.
The request is for .XLSB files to be supported in Box's native Content Preview.

Visualizing Template Usage and Deletion within the Tenant
In Box Relay, users can publish the workflows they create as templates, allowing other users within the tenant to use them.
However, when we want to delete templates that haven’t been used within the organization for a long time, we have to ask the original creator to unpublish or delete them, which is cumbersome.
If unnecessary workflows remain, the interface becomes cluttered and administration becomes difficult. These issues can be resolved by surfacing templates that haven’t been used for an extended period within the tenant and allowing administrators to unpublish or delete them.
We request a feature in the Admin Console’s Relay Templates list view to display the “Last Used” date and enable selecting older templates for bulk deletion.〈テナント内テンプレートの利用状況可視化と削除機能の実装〉
Box Relay
In Box Relay, users can publish the workflows they create as templates, allowing other users within the tenant to use them.

Box Seamless Login Permission Dialog Control. /Boxシームレスログイン許可ダイアログ制御
With the Box for Office co-authoring feature enabled for the entire tenant, users switch between co-authoring and individual editing depending on their use of macros or eco-solutions.
However, following the introduction of the seamless login feature, a screen requesting Box access permission appears every time a file is edited, even for users utilizing individual editing.
To prevent this display, administrators must individually disable the setting from the admin console for users who do not use co-authoring, which increases the burden on administrators.
Therefore, we would like the ability to select whether to show or hide the Box access screen associated with the introduction of the seamless login feature.[和訳]
