How to overwrite and save a file after changing its orientation
The recently released preview screen feature that lets you rotate documents is really helpful, as it allows us to view scanned data in the correct orientation.
I understand that the original data is not affected, but there is a need to overwrite and save files in their corrected orientation.
It would be even more convenient if there were a way to simply save the file as-is after changing its orientation.

Disposition Report should be able to show files that were deleted in the past
It's important for GxP compliance and ease of auditing to know what files were disposed of in the past, or during a specific period, like in the last 30 days, last 6 months, etc.
Disposition report should be able to show previous deletions, not just upcoming deletions, and admins should be able to filter by retention policy, and date.

Display the file name in the browser tab when opening Excel files from Box Web in Excel for the web
When opening an Excel file from Box Web using Excel for the web, the Edge/Chrome browser tab displays “Box for Microsoft 365 web” and the actual file name is not clearly shown.
Since Box Web is frequently used for real-time collaboration and co-authoring, users may open multiple Excel files at the same time. In that situation, it is difficult to identify each file from the browser tabs.
Please consider improving the browser tab title so that the opened file name is displayed clearly when using Excel for the web from Box Web.

We would like to request input validation for Box Forms text fields.
When collecting information through Forms, we want to prevent inconsistencies in text input and ensure that users enter data in the expected format.
Ideally, administrators should be able to define their own validation rules. We would therefore like Box Forms to support regular expression (regex) validation for text fields.

Create More Filters for User Details Reporting
I am looking to have a User Details report automatically filter out platform users from managed users. Additionally, I'd like to see some other configurations of user outputs:
All Users (managed, unmanaged, external, and platform users)
Managed Users (managed users ONLY [without platform users])
Platform Users (only platform users)
Unmanaged Users (unmanaged users)
External Users (external users)
Managed and Unmanaged (managed [not platform] and unmanaged users)

API Support for Managing Shared Links on Hubs
This request is to add Box API capabilities to view, create, update, and remove Shared Links for Hubs. Currently, there is no API support for managing Shared Links on Hubs, which limits automation and integration with enterprise workflows.
Enabling this functionality would allow for programmatic control of Hub sharing, improve governance, and support scalable content distribution strategies.

Hover over file name
I see that a hover option to view whole file names was offered in 2022. This used to work fine for me but recently stopped. I can no longer hover to see whole file names and have to go back to opening the doc to view full names. Am I the only one having this problem or did it stop for everyone?

Allow the possibility to have several several MFA as a backup
Many website allows to have multiple secure key for example, so if you have lost your main secure key, then you can still use the backup one.
I have 2 secure keys and I have them configured in parallel, and BOX.com is the one of the only website that doesn't allow such use case.1 vote -
Box for Outlook - Allow Configurable Setting that will autocovert an attachment to a link when over a certain size
Sharefile's Outlook add-in allowed for you to define a size threshold for attachments. When that threshold was reached, it would automatically upload the attachments to Sharefile and then insert the link to the file(s)
This feature made it simple to share larger documents, or multiple documents that would cause bounce-back emails for trying to send an email with too large of size. This was also much quicker than taking the time to create a new folder, upload the documents, then attach the links for those documents to the email.
I understand that this would require some other types of decisions to be made, such as where does the file get uploaded to? Perhaps there is an autogenerated folder for each user account that it sticks the files in, similar to Box Reports, Box Shuttle Reports, My Box Notes, My Canvases, etc.

Request for AI Unit Usage Limits by User and Group
We would like the ability to control AI Unit consumption at both the user and group levels.
Currently, AI Unit usage can be difficult to manage across different departments and user types. We would like administrators to be able to:Set AI Unit usage limits for individual users
Set AI Unit usage limits for groups or departments
Receive alerts when usage approaches configured limits
Prevent excessive AI Unit consumption and improve cost controlThis enhancement would help organizations govern AI usage more effectively and allocate resources according to business needs.

Request for a Role That Can Manage Collaborators Without Access to Folder Settings
We would like to request an enhancement to Box's permission model.
Business Requirements
Our organization has the following requirements:Delegate collaborator management to designated power users.
Restrict folder configuration and administrative settings to the IT department only.Current Limitation
Currently, we cannot satisfy both requirements simultaneously with the existing roles.
Option 1: Power Users as Co-OwnersPower users can manage collaborators, which meets our first requirement.
However, they can also modify folder settings, which conflicts with our governance policy.Option 2: Power Users as Editors with Collaborator Management Enabled
Power users can manage collaborators without having access to all folder settings.
However, general users must be assigned roles such as Viewer Uploader.
As a result, general users are unable to delete files, which does not meet our operational requirements.Requested Enhancement
To address these challenges, we would like Box to provide one of the following:A new role similar to Co-Owner that can manage collaborators but cannot modify folder settings.
A granular security or permission setting that allows administrators to:Grant collaborator management privileges, while
Restricting access to folder configuration and administrative settings.This enhancement would enable organizations to delegate day-to-day access management while maintaining appropriate governance and control over folder settings.

Implement XAA for Box GCP
Implement XAA for Boc GCP so users using their own private AI tools cannot link/authenticate them with their own Box Enterprise (work) instance.

Please review the reordering of menu items and consider using a pop-up display.
Because “Hide this folder,” “Share,” and “Update folder” are arranged vertically, users are more likely to click the wrong option during operation.
In particular, a user trying to select “Share” may accidentally click “Hide,” causing the folder to disappear from the list and making it difficult to tell whether the folder was deleted by mistake or merely hidden.
In addition, because no confirmation pop-up (reconfirmation message) is shown when “Hide” is clicked, there is insufficient protection to prevent accidental actions.3 votes -

Metadata Save and Cancel options on folders
I'd like to request to include the Save and Cancel option for Metadata on a folder.
Metadata (retention) templates are applied immediately upon selection on a folder. Because the interface does not feature a secondary "Cancel" or "Save" button, the policy takes effect the moment the template is chosen (=added), making any subsequent cancellation irrelevant to the already-applied configuration. This behavior does not occur when adding metadata to individual files.1 vote -

Prevent LFO from occurring due to Box Relay
When running folder actions (copy/move/delete) in Relay workflows, if the source or destination folder contains a large volume of content, that folder may become subject to LFO, causing files to be locked and preventing other users from accessing them.
Therefore, when a user attempts to configure a flow with a folder that could be subject to LFO, we want to prevent unexpected LFO by clearly indicating on the flow creation screen that the workflow cannot be created due to LFO—for example, by displaying an error message or making the folder unselectable.

Automate Outcome Based on Metadata Field Change
We would like an Automate outcome based on a change to a metadata field that was assigned in a previous outcome. An example would be in an HR recruiting workflow when the Role Stage metadata field changes to BC Complete a Send Notification outcome fires notifying applicable teams, HR, IT, Manager, etc. to begin preparations for the new employee.
As it stands now, the only way we've found to do this is by assigning a task to the recruiter.
The issue is that there are always multiple positions being worked at any given time and some positions take weeks or months to fill so the task stays open for this time, along with all others. this is confusing/frustrating for her.We would like an Automate outcome based on a change to a metadata field that was assigned in a previous outcome. Enable Metadata Cascading and Autofill on Folders
It would be very helpful to have the ability to enable cascading and autofill on folders when a metadata template is added as an outcome. In our case, we create new folders for each new position requested and being able to automate the process of applying a metadata template to files added to the folder and then have the metadata populated would be save a lot of time and effort for our HR team.
