Share multiple files at once
Currently, you can only share one folder/file at a time. Not a smooth process.

We would like to see Box Hubs have a separate shared link permission setting
Currently, Hub shared links can be allowed from “Enterprise Setting” > “Content & Sharing”, but with the current settings, if Hub shared links are disabled, general folder and file shared links will also be restricted, which is very inconvenient.
Therefore, please consider making the shared link setting of the Hub independent, and allow shared links to be allowed for each individual Hub.【
11 votesWe have now released a feature allows users to block Hubs from being shared publicly via “anyone with the link”:
- Admins can set a global default in Hubs Global Presets to prevent open/public shared links for all new Hubs.
- Co‑owners can also restrict public shared links at the individual Hub level, as long as the admin hasn’t locked that setting.
But we haven't released a separate settings for Hubs links in general so I move this request back to "Under consideration". This is something we want to make in the future but not on our roadmap yet.

Changing default columns view in File Explorer with Box Drive - Move or hide sync status
The recent 2.48.250 release has forced a new Sync column in File Explorer. This new column is fixed in position and can't be hidden. I, for one, don't care to have this column take us space in the Explorer as I have a smaller laptop screen.
When you select the column and hide in Explorer, it shows up at the next refresh back in the same position.
The integration with File Explorer should follow Windows 11 preferences and be adjustable just as OneDrive is.

Ability to exclude invitation restrictions in tenant settings in Hubs
We would like the ability to add folders with editor privileges in Hubs, even if only co-owners or higher can be invited in the tenant settings, so that it does not affect the invitation restrictions in the tenant settings.
Anticipate that many companies will not be able to change the invitation restrictions on the tenant side due to personnel issuances, security risk avoidance, etc.
Like to see this feature implemented, as it would improve the convenience of Hubs if there is a function to prevent tenant settings from affecting Hubs.
4 votes -
Allow Box AI summaries to display by default when a file is opened or selected
It would be helpful if Box AI could automatically show the summary panel by default when a user selects a file or opens it in preview.
Currently, users must manually trigger the AI to see summaries.
For workflows involving many files, default visibility of summaries would improve usability and make Box AI insights more accessible and efficient.4 votes -
We would like to have a clear indication of whether a file request link has been issued for a folder.
Currently, it's not immediately clear whether a folder has a file request issued.
We would like to have an icon display, similar to a shared link icon, so that it is visually clear when viewing the folder that a file request link has been issued.

bulk update metadata
For metadata driven relays, it would useful from the list view to be able to multiselect files within a folder and set the meta value for a particular field for all the selected files.

"Favorites" option for applying signers to a document
If 90% of the sign documents you generate need to be signed by a unique person, but then by two internal people, it would be nice if you could select from a "favorites" list.
So, each sign document has a unique underlying document, but the signers are, for the most part, always the same. Rather than entering "tom smith, mary jones, john white" for each document, you could just select "AR Group" from a favorites list.3 votes -
Fix the known notification issue immediately
Promptly fix the known issues with notifications listed in the following article
Due to this bug, there have been frequent incidents of not receiving notifications when documents are uploaded by clients.
This has significantly damaged the reliability of Box at our company, and there are calls for its use to be discontinued.16 votes -
Forced termination of suspicious outbound collaboration
We request implementation of a method for administrators to forcibly cancel invitations received by users under their management.
While outbound collaboration in Box is free and convenient, it is also highly dangerous.
It can be exploited by attackers seeking to misplace files or spread malicious files by sending invitations, or by employees planning to leave who receive invitations from their personal accounts to extract information. While inbound collaboration allows logging, outbound collaboration does not even permit this, leaving administrators virtually powerless.
Currently, administrators can only take the following two actions against these highly dangerous behaviors:
① Control “future” outbound collaboration via Box Governance domain whitelisting
② Generate a list of outbound collaborations via reportsOption ① cannot address outbound collaborations that have already occurred.
Option ② only allows for advisory notifications to the affected users.Implementation of a response method for cases where your company's users have already been invited is required.
At the very least, please enable the output of collaboration IDs in the outbound collaboration report. With this alone, you can use the API to revoke access. We request implementation of a method for administrators to forcibly cancel invitations received by users under their management.

Easily check past annotations in Box Notes
Box Notes is extremely easy to use for team brainstorming and reviews, and it has become an essential tool for our day‑to‑day collaboration.
Currently, when we add a comment using the annotation feature in Box Notes, the comment disappears in the next version if the referenced text is deleted. While it is possible to revert the Note to the version in which the annotation was made via the version history, this is not very intuitive.
We would like comments (annotations) to remain viewable as a history, even after the referenced text has been deleted, similar to how comments work in PowerPoint (.pptx) files.

Copy a folder with its items into another folder using Box Relay
Copy a folder with its items into another folder using Box Relay
Currently, you can select not only the "file that triggered the flow" but also the "folder that triggered the flow."
However, this only copies the folder, not the items contained within it.
To avoid complicating the workflow for a single folder, make sure the folder contents are also copied.Box Relay

Easy access the original file from the user interface after signing is completed
We use Box Sign frequently in our work.
In the current specifications, after signing is completed, the "Sign Completed Screen" or the "Box Sign List Screen" is displayed. After a file has been signed, there are many cases where additional work needs to be done in the location where the original file is stored.
However, we find it very inconvenient that we cannot reach the folder where the original signature file is saved unless we trace it back from the top folder. Please prepare a link to access the original file (or the folder where the original file is saved) from the page after signing is completed.
Box Sign

Box Canvas Session Time Improvements
The session duration of the Box Canvas is affected by the "Session Duration for All Users".
Therefore, in Box Canvas, if you exceed the time set for "Session Duration for All Users", you will be returned to the login page when you refresh the Box Canvas page.
To avoid this, you will need to navigate the Box Web UI or refresh the page.
I'd like to see improvements so that the session doesn't time out while editing Box Canvas.【In Japanese】

Bulk Metadata View for File Request Files
We’re using a File Request form with a metadata template that collects applicant and writer info. That metadata is used for renaming applications and triggering other Relay steps.
What’s missing is a way to see all that metadata at once. Something like a folder-level view or export that shows a list of the metadata values ie(ApplicantName, ApplicantEmail, WriterName, WriterEmail). Right now the only option is opening the metadata tab on each file one by one, which doesn’t scale when there are a lot of submissions.
A simple list or export of all metadata in a folder would make managing these requests much easier.

assign folder
Where folder contents need to be updated from time-to-time, have ability to assign various people as assigned "Folder Manager” who are responsible for managing the contents for accuracy. Shoudl be viewable in the folders view (ability to set a new column). 1) Tags could work; 2) It seems column headers can not be changed; 3) metadata doesn't seem to work (especially for non-tech savvy people.
