Collaborator Clean Up
Collaborator Clean Up - In Account Settings / Collaborators, we want to add the ability to click on any collaborator and see what files and folders they have access to. When looking at the list, have a button available to remove them from specific folders as needed. This will be especially helpful when performing a CBN, Audit or Digital Clean up.
19 votesThe usage of the page is very low. We are gathering feedback about what is the best step forward for the Collaborators page under setting.

I would like the ability to lock down the sharing permissions of certain folders.
The other day, a user “mistakenly” deleted the “All” group from the sharing permissions of our main folder share called “Clients”.

Delimiters are not escaped in the collaboration report
In order to analyze the collaboration report, I am trying to load the CSV file output by Box's reporting function into a tool other than Excel.
However, the CSV cannot be loaded correctly into the tool because the characters used as delimiters in CSV, such as comma and double quotation marks, are not escaped.
Normally, these special characters should be escaped when outputting a CSV file, so please improve this feature.2 votes -
Ability to edit the way Box Looks
Is box changing the way it looks constantly ? I don't like the changes and would prefer the choice to pick the way the program displays on my screen and would also like to rename my Favorite Tabs to what I want them to say not what the file name is.

WoW Storage Usage Metric
I'd need week over week total space used report that can be exported for the past several years. (ideally 7 years, same as other reports)
Part of this data is currently available in Insights (Admin Console), but it only displays for the past 30 days and doesn't have ability to export in CSV or Excel.
Background:
To calculate our ROI on Box and to report to our executive, we'd need a way to find out the historical data and its increase rate.3 votes -
MS Time Private Channel Integration
We love the MS Teams integration but need the ability on private teams with private channels to assign different default Box folders to each channel. Currently this is allowed only with public channels on a private team. We utilize private teams in MS Teams for our training cohorts and need the ability to have private channels for homework assignments and follow up with students. Thanks!

display request for Try this API
In the API reference Try this API displays Response Headers and Response Body. It would be nice if it also displayed the request URL and maybe request headers and body depending on HTTP type.
Cheers...

Don't notify user when storage is only 70% full
Got this notification today "Yikes, your storage is almost full. Get unlimited storage and advanced business tools to securely safeguard all your personal data."
Went to my account details and saw I'm only 31Gb out of 50gb.
A bit dramatic!1 vote -

Admin Console insights for Daily Active Users, Monthly Active Users and Power Users
We would like to see insights for users in Admin Console like the Box Customer Success Manager visualizes. For example,
- Monthly/Quarterly/Daily/Weekly User Active User
- % of Monthly/Quarterly/Daily/Weekly User Active User versus Deployed Users
- Who are Power Users3 votes -
Change order of the buttons in web interface
Putting the "Trash" and "Download" buttons right next to each other in the web interface is a recipe for disaster. About 5 times a day I accidentally click trash instead of download.

Thumbnail previews of documents should show file type: docx vs pdf
The new BOX.Com format no longer shows Word Docs with a Symbol vs PDF with
a different symbol.i.e. they have removed the prior, very visual, cues as to document type.
We can still see EXCEL symbol, but hopefully that will not be lostThis is a problem for us since we have many documents with long names, and
can't always see the final extension
Not to mention visual cues are exceedingly useful and helpful.8 votes -
If I use Box Drive,my computer's local Recycle is not available ?
Whenever a file is deleted from my computer's local Box Drive, it doesn't go in the trash itself. I am not able to see the file in my computer's local trash, it has synched to Box Driver in the first place.

Easy way for co-owners to see the deletion operations of collaborators in a co-owned folder.
Currently, only the owner of the item and the user who deleted the item can see the deleted item from the Recycle Bin.
Users with co-owner rights will not be able to see/restore deleted items in folders that they co-own.
Co-owners are not authorised to output reports. In some cases, tenants who are managed by closed folders ask co-owners to manage the folders.
One of the key roles of the co-owners is likely to be to ensure that necessary items are not deleted by the collaborator.
We want an easy way for co-owners to see the deletion operations of collaborators in a co-owned folder. Please allows items deleted from a co-owned folder to appear in the co-owner's recycle bin.
This feature would be more useful if the administrator could switch it on and off from the admin console.
Currently, only the owner of the item and the user who deleted the item can see the deleted item from the Recycle Bin.

Nested folders
With the current collections capability, it looks like collections don’t have any organization within them. If you wanted to organize things into “folders” within your projects you’d have to title collections all at the top level with a naming that implied a hierarchy in order to map shared items into groupings one layer of organization down. Something like:
Collections:
Project1-folder1
Project1-folder2
Project1-folder3
Project2-folder1
…I would have preferred to build an arbitrary folder tree and place shared items into specific places in my folder hierarchy.
Obviously it would be more useful if this organization was available in Box Drive too.

Unable to see external items via API
Currently the API works differently than the UI. in the UI a user can see files/folders that were shared with them from an external (to the org) account, however, when trying to query for the visible items via the API these do not show.
In addition - if you try to get the details of specific items shared by an external user you get an error when using the API, which is unfortunate since this causes 2 classes of behavior that are inconsistent between the UI and the API.1 vote
