Pop-up message when unintentionally shifting folders
It is strongly needed to have a pop-up message with Box Drive and Box Sync that allows the user to stop an unintentional shift of folders or files.

New File Request Submit Button moved to top or fit within viewport
New File Request Template moves the submit button out of the viewport. Users will upload the file without scrolling down to fully 'submit' the file. Can we move the submit button to top of page, or make that preview page smaller to fit within viewport? See Customer comment below:
"The thing about this template is that the CTA to submit is buried in the footer and outside the user's viewport on a laptop. I’ve seen with surveys when the CTA is not in the viewport, a portion of users miss it and never actually submit. And, there is no feedback to remind the user they need to submit. In other words, the user uploads and sees that is it uploading, they enter their info and there is nothing that forces them to submit.
Also, when you scroll down to the CTA , it bounces back to the bottom and you have to scroll again to get it into full so that you can click it. That bouncing I mentioned is due to the fact that the iframe embed forces you to scroll and and so does the page the iframe lives on. This means that even if a user scrolls down, they need to also scroll down in both places. What I do when designing those external surveys is break up the content so that all the CTA’s fall within the viewport. "

New update with the search bar on the top is inconvenient.
Definitely prefer the search bar at the bottom closer to the box drive link. It's just easier to use there for fast searching. Less distance the mouse has to travel, and eyes are already focused there.

MS One Note integration needed
I use MS One Note very often and would like the ability to share with Box however there are many issues and end up saving the One Note file on a shared drive which does not have the same features as Box...I am trying to move away from utilizing shared drives and using Box primarily, however issues like One Note imcompatibility are preventing me from moving away from shared drives.

Require Passwords at Admin Level
As a security feature, it would be helpful to require passwords for all shared links. Right now they are only required at the User level and it is optional. It would be very helpful as a security feature to allow admins to mandate a password for all shared links.

On Box Notes collaboration modal, display more than 5 candidate users when inviting users.
Currently, up to 5 users are displayed on collaboration modal of Box Notes, which is far less than 50 users of webapp. We want Notes to parallel webapp on this.

options dialog when moving and file already exists in destination
Currently, when a file is in the process of being moved from one folder to other and a file with the same name already exists in the destination folder, an error message is given and the operation is candelled.
Maybe an options dialog would be better, asking the user if they want to overwrite (add a new version of) the file, or rename either of the files within the dialog.1 vote -

We would like a function to disable comments, tasks, and version history when "Hide collaborators and their activities from non-owners" is enabled in the "Privacy" folder settings.
If you invite multiple external collaborators, you don't want external people to detect who you are inviting.
There is a function to hide collaborators, but if invited external users use comments, tasks, version history, it will be possible to see who is invited, so we would like to disable these functions I do.4 votes -
Copy file name and URL and path for shared link
The "Copy Shared Link" action in Box Drive (or Copy button in the Share pop-up dialog in the Web UI) should copy more than just the URL.
It should also have the file name and the current Box path so when I paste the link into a chat or email message, it has all the information the recipient will want.<path> > '<filename>"

Box lock security
We just discovered that a user with viewer-uploader permissions can unlock files which our team believes is an unacceptable security flaw. The viewer-uploader level of security is required for a user to create a folder within a folder that we have granted them access to, but other than that level of editing our external invited partners should not have the ability to manage a security feature such as unlocking a file or folder.

I want to be able to make a file available offline rather than the entire folder!
I want to be able to make a file available offline rather than the entire folder. I see that this option is available only at a folder lever and not at a file level. So this feature is needed too.

We urgently need the ability to drag/drop from box.com directly to other web apps.
We handle a large qty of jpg imagery. We need the ability to drag/drop directly from box to our web app (which has drag/drop capability). At the moment we have to download to desktop then upload to our web app. Massive bandwidth waste.

Adjust "arrow" to forward to next document when viewing a document it conflicts with the scroll bar when viewing an existing document
The arrow that you click to forward to the next document overlaps the scroll bar for the existing document. This impacts the ability to scroll up and down on the existing document. Please adjust the placement so the arrow doesn't overlap the scroll bar.

Box Drive path for InDesign linked files
Background:
We’ve moved the location of Box Drive to be outside the username location for our users. This allows for multiple users to work with InDesign , collaborate, and reference the correct asset links without issue. Reference – community.box.com/t5/Deploying-Managing-Box..Issue:
However, if a user hasn’t previously viewed the file in BOX Drive (e.g. ‘downloaded it to force a local sync’) then the linking of the file still breaks. This causes the following issues : when the user opens an InDesign file, they still need to navigate to anywhere from 5 – 50 different file locations in BOX Drive to ‘open/sync/download’ the file so that BOX has it in the local sync to load into InDesign.Request:
Instead of having to mark multiple folders, sometimes even hundreds of folder for those in the design business, for offline use, we want a way for that when the file is opened it ‘downloads/syncs’ the files behind the scenes automatically. Background:

Change Pop up Window for external users downloading files from public share
There is currently an animated pop up window that appears for external users that are downloading files from a share, The pop up never goes away and states the download is "IN PROGRESS" there is never any indication the download is complete as this pop up forever stays on the screen.
this pop up only seems to appear when the user is either using a browser for the first time or does not have a Box account. While it is meant to snag additional users to sign up to Box, it is confusing to many users waiting for the download to complete. - The message "YOUR DOWNLOAD IS IN PROGRESS" with the animated graphic suggesting that it is still in progress remains on the browser screen unless the user finally figures out it has been completed. There needs to be something that indicates to the user that download is complete or the pop-up message should be changed to provide further explanation or leave the screen when complete.

File Picker utilizing mobile deep link for Box iOS/Android App
Dropbox has a library called Chooser, which makes it easy to select files in Dropbox from custom Mobile apps. ( https://www.dropbox.com/developers/chooser#ios )
Dropbox Chooser uses mobile deep link bidirectionally to move between a custom app and the Dropbox app. As for Box app, mobile deep link is one-way; the Box app can be opened but it is not possible to select files and go back to the custom app.
The major advantages of using Dropbox Chooser for service providers are as follows.
- No need to make additional UI for the file chooser
- No need to authenticate or handle tokensWith these advantages, the effort for development can be greatly reduced, and it becomes easy to integrate Dropbox with the service providers custom apps.
Although Box has UI SDKs for mobile, Share SDK and Browse SDK for iOS are in maintenance mode and cannot be actually used. (I wasn’t able to build and run the examples included in those UI SDKs with the latest xcode in my mac)
Even if those UI SDKs can be used, it won’t be possible to drastically reduce the effort for development, because it is necessary to provide certain amount of code for authentication. From the perspective of eco-solutions, this has been a box's disadvantage against Dropbox.

Public Shared links - admin console ability to add password protection
I think along with the capability of adding an overall expiration date to Public shared links within the admin console, the ability to enforce password protection or even a verification code would also help a lot in locking down the possibility of information getting into the wrong hands.
So if i received the public link before opening it I somehow either have been provided a password or another idea you make the requester enter a mobile/email to send a once off pin code to allow them to access it.
