Warn users of upcoming web session expiration.
It can be confusing to users that Box does not bring you back to your login page on session expiration, only after you try to complete an action. Suggest adding a notification to warn users they will be logged out in XX minutes due to inactivity. Alternatively, notify users they are logged out before they try to complete an action.

allow Box Drive to be installed on only one profile of a computer, not all by default
I have Box Drive installed on my profile of my laptop, which causes issues when my partner logs into his profile - Box Drive tries to open and then hangs, causing delay for him to log on every time. I stopped it from opening on start-up but this change was applied to both profiles, meaning it is now slower for me to get into Drive on my profile.
I have reported this to Box Support and was told this was the default for Box Drive, that it runs on start up for all profiles and the only way to disable…2 votes -
View only ability as admin to view Detection rules, policies, and lists.
Isolate the EDIT SHIELD CONFIGURATION co-admin permission to 2 different permissions:
- View-only detection rules, access policies, lists
- View, Edit, and Create Detection rules, access policies, and lists.

Box Drive Sync Delay Indicator
Box Drive is supposed to mirror the files on the server. But we experience delays of five minutes to over an hour between when we complete an upload to Box and when other users can see the file in Box Drive. We end up having to use the web portal more frequently to download files rather than waiting for them to appear, which creates version issues and nullifies the most attractive feature of Box Drive. 43 votesThanks for the suggestion. Typically updates between box.com and Box Drive should happen very quickly. If they are not, we’d recommend filing a support ticket in case there is an issue.

Add non-client usage tracking
I often give out links to content in my box.com account. It would be great if you kept track of how often the content was actually accessed. For instance, number of clicks per link per day including whether item was previewed only or downloaded.

Keep the policy of PDF file with copying content disabled.
When PDF file with copying content disabled is uploaded to Box, the copying policy is gone.

thumbnails not working in windows explorer
We found a known issue with Win10 windows explorer where thumbnails don't load quickly or at all. This is a major problem for graphics, web or content companies. Even average people can't find their pictures easily due to this.

Custom Location Box Folder on macOS Big Sur
Hi,
Custom location is working properly on macOS Catalina 10.15. via terminal and configuration profiles.
We're currently testing and this ability is now lost on macOS Big Sur 11
Could you guys kindly look into this and see if it could be implemented soon.

approve TOS via Salesfotce integration
you cant approve TOS through the SF integration. you get the notification, they you click agree, then there is a white screen and nothing happens.... then you need to approve again.
looks like a bug.
you can only approve via webapp.
very frustratinsyou should have same capabilities via the SF integration as we get on webapp.

collections folder is cumbersome and awkward, very hard to use
My favorites randomly auto populate in the left margin when I open box. My work efficiency is greatly affected by having to click on the collections folder and wait for a new screen then dig through the page to find the bookmark favorite that I want. The "old way" of displaying my favorites had no issues and the order in which my favorites were organized worked well for me. Please find a way to revert back to my favorites always being displayed in the left margin.

2FA when logging in using external password
When SSO is enabled, users can use external passwords to access services that do not support SSO login. Security teams want to be able to enforce 2FA on logins using external passwords.

Box Tools: Change Cache location
Ability to customise the location of Box Tools folder
We would like to have the feature to customise the location of Box Tools folders such as logs and cache folder. We want to have those under drive of other volume letter instead of the default location under C drive. This is because the storage size of C drive can be limited.

File Security Classification, non-compliance label
When viewing a folder, it is currently not possible to know if there are files within the folder structure that have a differing classification label from the one at the root level. This "non-compliance" could potentially be problematic, or even a signal that someone has inadvertently changed a classification. It would be nice to have some kind of visual indicator that the top-level classification label is not 100% cascaded throughout the folder/file structure below it in the waterfall.

When I use the option to hide the left sidebar, the toolbar icons at the top are duplicated, overlapping each other.
This is an accessibility bug I think. I use large fonts on a Mac, and when I use Box in my Safari browser and use show/hide of the left sidebar, I wind up with double the top toolbar icons - overlapping each other, and only half are actionable.

Add ability to allowlist unpublished apps in a Shield list or Access Policy
Currently, the only apps that can be exempt from an Access Policy are published apps or custom JWT apps that have been approved in the Admin Console. There is a gap for unpublished OAuth apps that may need to be allowlisted from a policy.

It would good to be able to send the entire team a general email, but with one click ("email all") from the admin console
