We are eager for an improvement that shows the entire file path from a notification.
Box has become so popular that on some days I get what seems like 50 notifications. Unfortunately, most of the notifications will show a new or modified filename and a shortened path name - the combination of which doesn't allow us to figure out what project is associated with the notification.
This request is for all Box notifications to show the full path in their email instead of using /.../ to abbreviate any parts of the full path.2 votes -
Identify locally any failed uploads
Hi, we have had users send entire folders with dozens if not hundreds of subfolders up to Box via Box Drive. In some cases, since they aren't reviewing all of the content they are uploading, there are some failures (inappropriate file or folders names, unsupported file types, etc). Box Drive names the failed uploads but offers no way to identify them in the Box Drive folder structure on the local machine. There are no icon changes that might identify those containing folders which have the failed uploads within them. A simple right click in the notification to show the offending…

Failed login email alerts
It'd be great if the "failed to log in 5 times” email alerts included the time, IP address, location, and what part of Box the user was trying to log in to (e.g. web app, desktop app, FTP, API, etc.) for each of the failed attempts. That’d make it a lot easier to track down any issues on our side, or determine whether there was an internal security issue to investigate. If it could also include similar details about the last couple of successful attempts, that’d also be helpful, just to see if there’s a deviation from a pattern

account switching
Users with multiple Box accounts (e.g., personal, work, etc.) should be able to sign onto all their accounts and be able to quickly switch between the accounts. This could be similar to account switching for Google services, Dropbox, etc. Currently it is very cumbersome to do this. Box has already implemented similar functionality as part of the Box Android app.

Wie so gibt es bei Box keine Möglichkeit alle Daten zu markieren zum Herrenunterladen?
Nach der europäischen Verordnung und dem Deutschen Recht sind Sie dazu verpflichtet ohne noch mehr Abkassieren zu müssen.
Sollten Sie diesen Butten nicht einführen werde ich Anwälte dafür beauftragen die Bürger der Bundesrepublik und der Europäischen Union das Recht bekommen!
Denn was Sie hier betreiben geht so überhaupt nicht und werde ich so nicht dulden.

Ability to disable the feature to send shared link by email.
When the customer send email to external user, it is necessary to put superiors in CC according to their company rules.
This feature does not match the company rules because it can not put anyone in CC, so they want to disable it to prevent users send email without approve.10 votes -

Support Emojis in file names
Box currently does not support Emojis in filenames, which means it won't sync if I drag and drop a file from my desktop into Box Drive. It would be great if Box would support the same characters in file names as current OSes

Different Reference method to the Box location
I need to be able to refer to a Box Drive location independent of a drive letter - Six users. Five users have box configured to sync to c: The sixth user has to have the location on his D: drive, due to space limitations (and big "Box" size).
we need some way to refer to these files in some other more universal method (LIKE a UNC path... or \127.0.0.1\BOX\ or YOU NAME IT ) so that the SAME reference will work, whether someone's Box drive is on C: or D:

Allow for templates in the task section
Allow for a custom task templates to be created and saved so a team can complete multiple similar files with the same tasks vs. having to write new tasks every time.

Keep Cost Center Field populated when user invited as a Managed user
If creating an account and you have to send the user an Invite to come over as a managed user, the Cost Center field (If filled out) will not stay after the user accepts the invite. Forcing you to have to go back and re-add info you may have already included.
I would request that if the Cost Center field is populated on a user creation, that it remain after an invited user accepts their invite to stop double work.

Ability to move deleted trash items to org wide "Vault"
User some times delete trashed items by accident (instead of restoring them), asking Box Admins to raise support ticket to retrieve from the backup.
Also, some organizations have legal requirements or policies to retain files & folders indefinitely, yet want to hide from users when user have decided to deleted completely from their Trash.
This shall hide permanently deleted trashed items from the users, but allowing Box Admins to see/retain them and quickly restore accidentally deleted trashed items.

Box drive to support SAML-based authentication
We use Okta as a primary authentication method for Cloud-based applications like Box.
Would like to see Box Drive to support for either redirect to main iDP configured at box account or naively support SAML-based authentication.1 vote -
Convert all notification email contain "app.box.com" link to "ent.box.com" under BVE
Some notification email such as "Email Uploads completed" contain "app.box.com" link even for enterprises that have Box Verified Enterprise enabled.
They should be converted to "ent.box.com" link in order to access them from Internal network.

Add parameter to Activity report to search box for more than 1 year
Currently if you want to look at 5 years of data, you would have to set-up and run the activity report 5 times. Instead of running the report for each time frames, set the date range for the specified time then have the report engine look at the parameter to execute the 5 reports in the time-frame corresponding to each year and label files to indicate time-frames. This way BOX controls resources and the admin would not have to do this a multitude of time to get the report data.

SSO Required - API authorize endpoint behavior not consistent with Core Box
USAF is developing a custom iOS app on Box requiring USAF internal users to authenticate into the app via SSO. With "SSO Required" turned ON, the app redirects users to the Box login page and not the SSO login page on invoking the Box authorize API endpoint. This seems not to be consistent with the Core Box "SSO Required" flow

Make contents of Apple iWork files fully searchable
Currently Apple iWork files (.key, .numbers, .pages) are not searchable on Box, even though uploading, previewing and editing them on Box is possible. As our company mainly works with these Mac files, this is a big limitation for us. It would be great if all iWork formats can be search using the full text searched functions in Box.
As a Box user, I want to be able to do a full text search on Apple iWork files, so that I can find them based on their contents when I do not remember their file names.

See and share full path from Box Drive
A function that enables to share Box Drive location/path between users.
When using Box Drive on a daily bases, it is inconvenient that the user needs to open the link on the browser once to identify the specific location/folder path.
It would improve to shorten the work flow if the users can see the full path from Box Drive so that they don’t have to go through the process to open box.com.

Lock file upon approval task
It is often desirable that the file is locked when an approval task is set to ensure that the approval is given on the exact version of a document as it was when the approval was triggered. It would be useful to have the option to lock a file until the approval task has been approved or declined.
