"Automate Restoration of Collaboration Permissions for Deleted Users in Box"
Customer would like the ability to restore or have Box re-set collaboration permissions when a deleted user is restored. For example, if a customer accidentally deletes a user and needs them restored, they can do so through User Services, but they have to manually re-add the folder collbaorations/access. They would like Box to have a way can automate the addition of these folders for them via the Admin console or on the Box side.

Detailed content access reporting by location, client, user, etc.
We'd like to see a report in the Admin Console that shows where content is being accessed from and by whom, specifically for mobile (iOS or Android, etc.); but other information like Box Drive or Web App would also be helpful.

Apply profile attribute values when saving Office files
We'd like to set some default values like Author of a document saved directly in the Office file when we create or edit it in Box.

Bulk-delete comments
we'd like a way for admins to delete old comments for files owned by managed users in bulk rather than one by one for files that have a lot of activity in their side activity panels.

Ability to see and access bookmarks in Box Drive
Bookmarks: I store a lot of bookmarks in Box. This bookmarks are not visible in the folder structure on my laptop (links seems not to be stored as files). As a consequence e.g. bookmark titles are only searchable via Box browser interface but not via Windows search functionality within explorer

I'd like to be able to share a link that defaults to open the file in the native app on macOS.
I'm not sure if this is more related to Box Drive or Box Tools, but it seems like it should be possible to open files in their native app rather than in the browser, or even just to open them in the Finder rather than on the web.
Some of the reasons:
1. Lots of people need to know where a file is within the larger heirarchy or get a file path, and it's significantly easier to do that in finder.
2. Lots of people just don't like having to click the extra few times.
3. It's frustrating to be logged in to the Box Drive app, but find that due to a restart or a timeout you need to re-sign in on the web, just so you can click a link and have the file open in finder/native app like you wanted in the first place.
4. I think the ideal implementation from my point of view would be if the Box Drive/Tools app opened a system dialog box that let you choose to open the link in the web, the native app associated with the file type, or in Finder.I'm not sure if this is more related to Box Drive or Box Tools, but it seems like it should be possible to open files in their native app rather than in the browser, or even just to open them in the Finder rather than on the web.

Add a loading animation when opening non-MFO‘d, non-cached files to show that it’s downloading
This will offer a better user experience than double clicking a file and nothing happening for 30 seconds to a minute before the file opens.

More specific error messages when uploads fail
When manually uploading a new version of a file, I received a "Some Uploads Fail" message. Only later did I see it was because there was another file of the same name in the folder. The error message should be more specific to this problem.

Metadata field for a user name - ability to @mention or tie a metadata field to a specific user
Similar to comments or tasks, it would be helpful to be able to autofill and insert a user's name in a metadata field.
There are a lot of use cases here, e.g. establishing the content owner since oftentimes that is different from the folder owner and not easily discernible or searchable.
Current workaround would be to use the text metadata field, which leaves room for user error, typos, or using different variations on people's names. A dropdown list helps with that but isn't a feasible option if you're choosing from a large set of users.

Support articles
Wow, 'Support' is not even an option on the dropdown menu above. Maybe that is the root of the problem.
Here are FIVE Suggestions:
1.
Add 'Support' as an option on the menu above.
2.
Folders that I can see via a web browser were not appearing on my desktop. I tried to find a support article. Found this one:Box Sync Troubleshooting Basics
https://community.box.com/t5/Box-Sync-Troubleshooting/Box-Sync-Troubleshooting-Basics/ta-p/82
It does not address what I eventually figured out to be the problem: For each folder, I have to manually click the button with three little dots, then select from the menu the three little dots + More Actions, then select ‘Sync’
I only accidentally found that after wasting A LOT of time trying to send my sync report, etc.
That is a basic issue. It should appear in that article.
3.
At the bottom of the article (and probably all support articles), there is a line of text that says: “Was this article helpful?”
The options are Yes and No.
If the person clicks ‘No’ they should be presented with a text box where they can leave a message saying what the problem is. That would let Box get the feedback it needs to improve articles. Just collecting a ‘No’ does not help. Also, that text box would let the person submit the suggestion right away, instead of having to dig around to try to find a way to submit it (which many of us will not do) and waiting for the chat.
- I wasted lots of time on chat, just to submit this suggestion.
That chat person wrote, "You can also submit your feedback on this site: https://pulse.box.com/forums/909778-product-feedback"
That link should be provided here: https://community.box.com/t5/Contact-Support/ct-p/BoxSupport#

Typing in this little box and needing to scroll up and down to see just a few lines at a time is a lousy experience. Every other website in the world lets you drag the corner of the box to make it larger and easier to read. Please do the same.Wow, 'Support' is not even an option on the dropdown menu above.
