Addition of Content Inventory Function
The current Box service does not have a content inventory function.
It is very inconvenient to manually organize content every time it increases.
We request the implementation of a dedicated inventory function as it would improve operational efficiency.
As an example, we hope for the implementation of a function that allows the following settings.[example]
・Organize files that have not been updated since they were stored and unnecessary files

Classify multiple Box Shield alerts at the same time
We recently had a user upload a lot of content to their Box account in one go during a migration from local file storage to cloud storage. There was a lot of really old data that Box detected as being malicious (over 700 files). Based on spot checks throughout the data, we've determined that the data is not actually malicious and is a false positive. With the current UI, it'd take forever to mark each of the 700+ alerts as a false positive. It would be much nicer to be able to multi-select the alerts from the main list and…

Choosing a target folder for reports in the admin console
I have received numerous inquiries from clients wondering when we will be able to move reports to target folders rather than just having the report dropped into the admin Box Reports folder

I want to be able to change access permissions when inviting someone to a Box folder via Teams
As per the current Box specifications, when you invite someone to a Box folder via Teams, they will be granted editor permissions and cannot be changed in advance.
After inviting via Teams, it is possible to change the access permissions on the Box side, but it is very inconvenient to have to change the access permissions every time.
By making it possible to set access permissions in advance, unnecessary permissions will not be granted, reducing the risk of incidents occurring.(日本語)

Box Relay Send Notification Outcome Tied to a File
The current "Send Notification" outcome is only capable of sending general notification according to the message set at Box Relay. Can we also tie it with a file similar to the "Assign Task" outcome? Thank you.

Add sections with no input needed and pages to Box Forms.
It would be great if Box Forms would include sections where you can have descriptions of what is expected, but without any input required. This would help let users understand expectations and give instructions. It would also be nice to have a next button so if you have a really long form, you don't have to keep scrolling, you can just hit 'next' to next page as you move through form. This would also help with logic where in stead of fields appearing/disapearring, they would just either be included or not included on next page based on previous response.

Colored Tags or Even Metadata and Visible Outside File
Can we suggest colored tags (or even metadata) functionality so we can track documents easier?
We have several versions of a part drawing and we wanted to track better visually when it comes to latest documents.
If also possible, can it be seen outside the file in one row with the file name or folder and can be colored? For visual ease since the current tag function has only one color (gray) and we wanted to be able to set-up a color per status tag (e.g. Approved - green, Pending - orange, etc.) for easier tracking. The "Invoices from box" folder where invocies are dropped can not be moved.
For easier rights management and avoiding "shared folder" ****, we opted to have one shared folder across our company with sub-folders for each department.
Said folder is shared with our accounting department.
I moved the folder "Invoices from box" from my root folder to the accounting department sub folder but each month when an invoice is issued it appears again in my root folder.
I propose that box.com remembers the folder ID of the "Invoices from box" folder and used that instead of the absolute path of the folder to drop their invoices.

We would like the ability to have a print button appear when one or more folders/files are selected. フォルダ/ファイルを1つ以上選択した際に印刷ボタンが表示される機能が欲しい
The current specification allows printing from the file preview screen, but if you want to print multiple files, you have to open the preview screen one by one and press the print button, which is quite time-consuming and labor-intensive.
Therefore, when you select one or more folders or files (including BoxNotes), we would like the "Print button" to be displayed on the folder/file screen or by pressing "More Options."
Also, when a folder is selected, I would like to be able to print all the materials in the selected folder.現在の仕様ではファイルのプレビュー画面から印刷が可能となりますが、複数のファイルを印刷したい場合、1つ1つプレビュー画面を開いて印刷ボタンを押す必要があり、作業的にかなりの時間と手間がかかってしまいます。

Add the ability to generate a report that summarizes signature request activity per user across the enterprise. Streamline CFR Part 11 Authentication for Multiple Signatures
When signing a document that requires multiple signatures from the same user, Box Sign currently prompts for CFR Part 11 authentication for each individual signature. This can be inefficient and frustrating, especially for longer documents. We propose enhancing Box Sign to require authentication only once per signing request—while still maintaining regulatory compliance.

Who invited a user?
Bring back the column under Managed Users that tells you who invited a user. That easy bit of information is no longer there. Now you have to run a report that takes forever and may or may not give you the information.

Disable automatic in-domain creation of Managed User account
Currently, Box allows an unmanaged user to become a paid Managed user "automatically" if someone within the domain invites another email within the same domain. Only Co-Admins and Primary Admins should be able to authorize a paid seat. Or there should be an option in settings to turn that on ability on or off.

Ability to invite external unmanaged users into Box Apps
We are requesting a new feature that allows external (unmanaged) users to be invited into Box Apps.
Use Case Example:
A law firm wants to share categorized legal documents with their clients through Box. Currently, Box Apps enable internal users to view and manage files with rich metadata, making it easy to organize and automate workflows. However, clients cannot access these metadata views directly. Customers should have the ability to view this structure and even work with it to launch automations and processes, as well as search their documents more easily.7 votes
