Request to add an Address book feature when adding or @mentioning users.
Currently, there are only 5 suggestions displayed when adding, @mentioning users.
There are more than 5 users with the same name and it is hard to filter out the exact user.
We would like an address book feature so we can filter out the users to invite. Address book should include user name, Organization name, groups, etc.

We will consider it in the future if there is increased customer demand.

Auto-update Python
The version of Python that is installed with Sync doesn't auto update. Concerned about security vulnerability.
0 votesPython 2.7 and 3 are both supported releases. Python 2.7 will be supported through 2020.
We review and update our python version periodically through Sync auto-update. We currently use python 2.7.9 with Box Sync. We plan to update to the latest version (2.7.11+).
We only install Python to Box specific location on Windows (%ProgramFiles%\Box\Box Sync) and Mac (inside Box Sync.app bundle). Other applications will not use our python installation.
We reviewed the CVE list of Python and there’s no CVE that requires immediate update from 2.7.9.

Event Stream for move events wants both current parent and past parent folder IDs
After a user does a move for a folder or file, admin event logs stream should show the past and current folder IDs the item lived in.

Error Messaging - Update 'File Type Not Supported' Error Message to Be More Specific When the Error is Not Related to File Types
This is a request to update error messages for Box Edit to be more specific.
Currently, the red bar that says 'Box Edit does not support this file type' appears for a variety of reasons not limited to just errors due to file type incompatibility. Users could see that error message when trying to use Box Edit with a PowerPoint, Word, or any other supported file type.
This error also occurs when the Web App is having issues connecting to Box Edit on the actual computer and in other scenarios that are entirely unrelated to file types.

Remove external collaborator after certain period of inactivity
We invite many external collaborators onto projects and it is tedious to remove them after projects end. Setting a global "remove external collaborator" time period does not always work because some projects last much longer than others.
Request:Ability to set a "remove collaborator if inactive within Domain for x time"

Ability to Obsolete Folders & Notify Owner
Add an option under the folder settings ([?] button), under Sharing, add an item for Obsolete Folder which upon selecting would go to a simple page stating that clicking Ok will notify the Folder Owner(s) that you believe this folder is obsolete and should be deleted.
Additionally, when selecting Remove, to Remove as Collaborator, that page can also have an option to notify the Owner(s) that the folder looks to be obsolete and is suggested to be deleted.

There is also a current way to achieve this by emailing the owner to ask them to delete the folder.

Remove all Collaborators from Folder
We have a commonly changing set of external collaborators that need to be in a folder. This list may change every week or every month. Some of the folders may have large numbers of collaborators and there is no way to bump them all out if needed other than removing the folder completely.

Mobile browser support on Device Trust
When Device Trust is turned on, all access from mobile browsers are blocked. There is a large number of mobile users (iPads) that need to access Box through a mobile browse as there are certain functionality that not available through the Box mobile application.
The most important things for us that iPad users may need through the browser that they can't do through the apps are the following (and this is important because most of our sales force ONLY have iPads and not PCs, leaving them no other way to perform these tasks, except potentially using VDI on their iPads).…

Ability to set a custom attribute in the Box Capture application
We would like the ability to set an attribute in the Box Capture application to automatically name photos with a desired store name.
For example, rather than automatically name the photo 2016-05-23_001.jpg, we would like to have the option to set the default name via an attribute or prefix that would enable them to more easily identify, search on, and organize them.
As an example they would like the option in the Box Capture application to be able to Set Photo Name Prefix to "Boise" so that the resulting photos would be saved to Box as: Boise2016-05-23001.jpg; Boise…

Ability to adjust the search string, while maintaining the current set of filtering criteria.
As users are searching and adjusting advanced search filters many of times they realize they need to adjust the original search request, and this can be quite cumbersome when they have to repeat the advanced search filter settings.

Ping Federate connector to automatically sign people out of all apps when deprovisioning
Use the API call "Update User" to force a user to change password (and in doing so, log them out of all applications) when deprovisioning a user using outbound provisioning. This isn't necessary if users are being deprovisioned to "Deleted" or "Inactive" status, but if they are being set to "Cannot Delete, Edit & Upload", then the user will still have access to Box via Sync/Mobile clients

We are trying to distribute bundles of secure content pertaining to movie releases and would like the ability to apply watermarks to entire folder downloads.
