In addition to the owner of the folder receiving a notification that a collaboration is expiring, the user who initiated (invited) the collaborator, and the collaborator themselves receive notifications.

Ability to change user external collaboration role by API
Support divestitures and enabling default setting to enabled. We have folks doing this task which should be easily automated.

Email Notification Frequency Options - Immediate, Daily Digest, Weekly, etc.
Box currently provides email notifications as options for end users to 'subscribe' to email notification alerts when content is uploaded, downloaded, previewed, deleted, or commented on. Box currently only provides one 'type' of email notification: instant (which includes automatic batching when events occur within a few minutes of each other).
REQUEST: Add the ability for users to choose the 'type' of email notification they'd like to enable at the folder level (via Folder Settings):
--Real-time emails (what we already have today)
--Daily digest (1 email per day)
--Additional weekly option (optional)31 votesThank you for the feedback, this is something we would like to do in the future, but don’t currently have a timeline planned for this.

Require Editing ONLY via Office Online for Certain Files (disable Box Edit at the file level)
Use Case: I have a spreadsheet that I know will be highly collaborative; as such, I want to prevent people from being able to use Box Edit with the file and I want to require that they edit it using Office Online due to enhanced co-authoring, etc.
Basically, this would be a 'only allow edits using Office Online'-type setting at the file level.

Mobile Preview log
Currently, mobile app's Preview action of some type of documents is logged as "download." It doesn't show actual actions, so it should be logged as "Preview."
2 votesOn Mobile, we use the download API call within the content SDK to grab the file for Preview purposes, which is why it is recorded as a download.

Retention Policies as Deletion Policies
Files in a folder (or globally) would be purged after a certain period of time, but if a user wants to remove the content before that time, they would be able to do so.

Allow Auto-Provisioning from Box for Desktop
Our current desktop apps (Sync, Box for Office) do not support allowing a user to auto-provision their account during the login process.
3 votesWe currently do not have this planned on our roadmap. Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

Enterprise settings should trump individual folder settings
My only recommendation is that Enterprise Settings should override individual setting and not the other way around. What if the Enterprise Site Admin account was compromised?
1 voteThank you for submitting this suggestion.
We’re unlikely to look into changing our settings restriction model without additional customers requesting such an investigation. We will monitor this for additional feedback.

We do not currently have plans to introduce this, but would appreciate any additional context on the use-cases in mind for this feature.

No plans at this time to add this to our existing upload policies, but we will explore methods to enable this through other means.
