Support Microsoft linking
Formulas referencing external source files are used in Excel models and when linking Excel to PowerPoint. The ability to change data in a source file and have the updated data flow through to any/all linked files stored in different locations does not work.
The ”updating links” function does not work as the formulas are not referencing the source file in Box Cloud, but instead are mapped to a temp copy on the local machine

Box Sync: Sharing file Message box character length too short
When sharing a file; in the Message (optional) text box please list the max amount of characters that can be entered in that box. Also, can we increase the number of characters in that box to maybe around 400? It was recently decreased and is now effecting my ability to do my job.

New "simplified link"
I hate the new "simplified link" deployment.
When I post a new file online to make it available to one of my clients, I simply copy and paste the link into an email I send them. With this new deployment, the shared link must first be enabled (it is disabled by default). This means you've just added at least a couple of additional clicks to my work flow each and every time I send a link to a customer. Improve the help text for “Allow Folder Owners to Extend The Expiration Date”
Feedback on info bubble that shows up in the admin console when setting collaborations to expire:
because we have the box checked to : “Allow Folder Owners to Extend The Expiration Date” – with your info bubble specifically stating “Allowing user to modify settings will apply these settings as a default setting..”
While I’m no linguist, I believe that in this context, default means this setting can be modified, especially as that info bubble continues with “..Not allowing these settings to be modified will enforce these settings on your users.”
A better info bubble could be wanting here

Customizable Box Tools Web Page - When a user is logging into Box, the Box Tools page displays, allowing Box Tools to check / verify security of the user's machine prior to entering the Box environment. However, this web page is not modifiable and because of that, can cause end user confusion. For example, the page displays text to download Box Tools, but if the user already has the package installed, that is not necessary information. This page should be customizable to allow for organizations to add their support contact information and instructions on what to do.

Report on downloaded files across several folders
We would like to generate a report which shows how many files were downloaded across several folders within Box. We have a team that is looking to monitor the usage of certain files which are saved in Box across a number of individual client folders. We can see the downloads of individual reports through Box online, but there are a few hundred folders and that would be too time consuming to go through individually.

NetSuite - More information on 'Box Record Folder' custom record
In the NetSuite-Box integration (v2) there is a custom record type (Box Record Folder). A record is created for each folder created in Box for each NetSuite record. This record currently contains the following information: NetSuite Record ID, Box Record Folder ID, and NetSuite Record Type. I would like to see more information on this record that would allow useful searches of Box information (via this custom record) without having to create additional Box integrations or scripting inside NetSuite. Specifically, I'd like to see:
-A direct link to the specified NetSuite Record (Custom Field of Type List/Record)

large file size zip
When using the Shared Link for large zip files the user is directed to the Box site (https://wi-fi.app.box.com/), then given an error and a download button to retrieve the file. The error displayed is "We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported."
When using the Direct link to share a large zip file, rather than the user being taken to https://wi-fi.app.box.com/ the file is downloaded directly to their browser download folder. This is a much cleaner user experience.
Would like to have the same download experience for the Shared link, as the Direct link.

Merge versions of the same document in Box Web App
Have the ability to merge two versions of the same document into one document with two versions without having to download one version, upload it as a new version, and then deleting the version that is now a copy.

Support Intune Managed Browser
Currently, Box doesn't support Intune managed Browser. There are different behavior from a supported mobile browser like Safari, Chrome. If Intune Managed browser app is only Intune Browser, a user cannot use Box properly.

The ability to check the characters when setting/typing the password for shared link and account
When we're entering passwords of shared links and accounts, we want to check it by seeing the actual characters.
For example, this request has been achieved on the following page:

Is it possible for you to implement the same button in the account ligin page and the shared link setting window?

Windows App Custom Disctionary for Spell Check
Using the Box Notes Windows desktop app is awesome. A huge pain point is the spell-check feature because it lacks a custom dictionary feature. In many cases, my notes are riddled with little red spelling error-underlines because the application doesn't allow me to accept and remember frequently used words. Examples include names, places, people, companies, products, etc. The list could go on but I fell I've effectively communicated my concern.

ELIMINATE the display message " We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported" " as it terrifies our customers
Display message "We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported" scares our customers on the download shared link page. They think it is an ERROR and will not download the .ISO or other file that cannot be PREVIEWED. Make the message SPECIFIC to PREVIEW:
"Preview not available for this file type, click Download to continue"
or just
"Preview not available for this file type"Saying it is UNSUPPORTED means too many bad things. If this is not fixed, we will leave BOX. Seriously.

Combine Feed with Notifications and Recents to make one seamless experience
If you could combine feed with notifications + recents into one screen. Our users find that they’re often switching back in forth between the screens; if you could have a screen with three columns including all of these items and have a way to sort them, scroll them – that would be one experience and save time flipping between pages.

Password reset process is cumbersome
Even with the understanding that my specific situation might add a few steps, it is significantly longer and more involved than the analogous process for any other product, tool, or service that I use. I have described the steps that I have to go through and would encourage the Box Developers and UX Teams to consider a more seamless way to do this in some future release.
