Ability to request a bulk download of data sent to us via hard-drive .
Allow us to request a bulk download of our data which Box would fulfill at their technical support center. This would enable us to receive multiple Terabytes of data without bogging down our corporate network or using applications which are prone to download failures. The data would be stored on hard-drives or solid state drives either purchased through box or sent to box to fulfill the request

SVG thumbnails corrupted
Hi,
We are using box to store loads of SVG images of apartment floor plans.
When looking at a folder containing these images, the thumbnails are filled with large black areas, making it impossible to make out anything. From what I can see, the svg image preview is a .jpg image, so when the thumbnail is generated it probably fills some transparent areas with black.
Would it be possible to just use the SVG as a thumbnail instead? in our case all the generated jpg thumbnails are actually larger than the original svg.
I would provide an image / example but I see no field for uploading one here.

New App Management UI needs improvements
The New App management UI was released the week of Feb 3 2020. We would like to see a few enhancements:
1) Provide a way copy or export the whitelist of client IDs for custom applications. This is found under Admin Console - App - Custom Apps - Settings - Disable unpublished apps by default
2) List the App ID or App Name along with the Client IDs that are whitelisted for custom applications. This is found under Admin Console - App - Custom Apps - Settings - Disable unpublished apps by default
3) Provide better explanation for each section under Custom Apps. Where are the Oauth2 apps entered versus the JWT apps. What is Require manual admin authorization for transactional access Apps. Box Drive Accidental Deletion
Since the introduction of Box Drive end users that haven't read the documentation and skip through the walkthrough aren't used to seeing all of the files and folders.
The user without realizing, then believes that all of these files and folders either aren't needed or are taking up physical space on their hard drive. The user then either randomly deletes select files and folder or just deletes everything within Box Drive. A solution is needed to either further alert or prevent this. One other possible solution is to create a process to fully restore all of the deletions and collaborations.
When this happens, it literally deletes all of the files and folders from Box. For the user that made the deletion, it will also remove them as a collaborator from those files and folders the user didn't own.
This causes a number of issues and use cases:
- The user realizes the mistake, stops the deletion and restores all of the data from the Trash via the Box UI. -Since the user was removed as a Collaborator, it is physically impossible to restore the shared folders and files because those physically sit in the Owner's Trash. The Owner or an Admin has to manually restore the data. -Depending on the timing if the restore is done versus the deletion, the user may or may not still be a collaborator on the Parent/Child folders, thus causing Orphaned Folders and Files during the restore. In this case, all of the Orphaned Files and Folders will be restored to the user that is restoring the data without any of the previous Collaborators
2. The user creates a ticket with the Admin and the Admin manually restores the data; however, this can still have all of the same issues as #1 unless the data is all restored without breaking the Parent/Child relationships
Current Admin recommended steps for resolution:
1. Run the Collaboration Report EVERY day
2. As soon as the issue is reported, run the User Activity Report for the user for the last 30 days (this will help when checking the unique ID's of deleted versus restored in Step #10), specifically selecting the "Moved to trash" (under File Management) and "Removed collaborator" (under collaboration)
3. Filter through the report to see what folders the user has been removed from as well as how many items were deleted and from where (specifically looking for the parent folders to not cause orphaning when restoring)
4. Based on that list, take the Collaboration report from #1 and filter it based off of the user that made the deletions email in column I named Collaborator Login. This provides the list of folders and folder Owners that once the data is restored could still possibly have data in their trash
5. Login to the user's account or have the user that deleted the data, change the Files and Folders Per Page to 100 in Account Settings
6. Go to the Trash and select the "Items I Deleted Drop" down and either select the items to restore or select "Restore All" (this could restore files that truly should be deleted)
7. If there were no errors restoring, then run the Activity report again with the same settings from step #2 and also include "Restored from trash" (Under File Management), if there were errors skip to Step #11 otherwise go to step #8
8. Filter the report for "Trash" and take all of the Unique ID's for the "Affected ID" Column G and de-dupe that in a new sheet
9. Filter the report for "Undelete" and take all of the Unique ID's for the "Affected ID" Column G and de-dupe that in another new sheet
10. Compare those ID's, if they data sets are the same then all data has been restored. Please note that if a "Restore all" was done on the trash this could include data deleted before that date and may have restore id since the reports include 30 days
11. If the data sets don't match, then take the Collaboration report from #4 and as an Admin, log into each individual account and restore the deleted file from the Trash just like in #6 or reach out to the user's and have them do this (if files were orphaned, please check the root level for the user that restored the data)
12. To be 100%, the same activity report from #7 will need to be ran for every user that data was restored from but in this case only for the respective day and then compare the same way as step #10 with the existing ID's gathered in step #10
13. Finally, if still this doesn't line up log back into the account that deleted the data and check the root level for the possibly Orphaned files/foldersThis is the only way to be certain 100% everything has been restored

Save Function
In terms of product improvement, it is evident that the “Save As” functionality is not an efficient way of saving existing files within Box. If a “Save” or “Sync” functionality is available, this would make the end user experience better. Your other competitors like Microsoft’s SharePoint does have the functionality available to just sync without needing to go through the whole “Save As” approach.

Shared link permissions enterprise default
A way to force reset everyone to the enterprise default for shared link permission level.
+
A setting that would allow only a subset of users to have the broader level of sharing – say there is opt 1 – people in company / opt 2 people in company + invited / opt 3 people in company + invited + anyone with the linkEx. So the enterprise default for all users would be locked down to a max of option 2 (giving users opt 1 & 2 as choices) – we could allow a small subset option 3 (giving them all options)

Email upload failures, granular details requested
Email upload failures to provide more details about the email address and folder being uploaded to. In some instances, automations get set up and users that set them up leave, which means if they start failing, the remaining users do not know what folder it is going to if they cannot locate the automation. In others, a box upload email accidentally gets added to CC. Adding the requested information would help customers hunt down the folders in question to ensure nothing improper was uploaded or to help locate the automation.

Ability to edit file on external apps without saving files locally
Ability to edit file on external apps without saving files locally.
For example, if user would like to edit files on "Microsoft Office" app, they need to set “Files can be saved to device: On “ on Admin console > Enterprise settings > Mobile
But some users cannot set "ON" due to their security policy. "Open In" icon is grayed out.1 vote -
Improve Quarantine capabilities in Box Governance
mprove Quarantine capabilities in Box Governance - specifically when it relates to file types like .eml or .msg.
1) Allow for exceptions - e.g. quarantine all content that is uploaded with .msg, but allow it for Y folder. Use case: one team in particular needs to be able to save this type of content to Box and has permission from legal to do so.
2) Change the "Email" option to include "User who violated the policy" - for example, in addition to sending a warning email to Admins who want to track upload of .eml files, also send the email to the person who violated the policy. Currently, this is done if you quarantine, but the email does not go out to the violator if only the notification setting is turned on.mprove Quarantine capabilities in Box Governance - specifically when it relates to file types like .eml or .msg.

Allowing the ability to ignore ownership on certain files
We are trying to store Capture One Photoshoots on Box Drive so multiple people can access them and all adjustments are saved. There is the session file, RAW image files and various files storing the processing settings, thumbnails, etc.
I can copy a shoot to Box and work on it fine but if someone else tries to work on it, Box won't let the software overwrite the settings file and makes copies of everything with the 2nd persons email address on it. This is related to ownership of the files.
It would be great if we could turn that off like you can with a server on Mac so that it doesn't make duplicate files.
Thanks

Approve each file separately for a manual start with multiple files
We want to approve each file separately for a manual start with multiple files.
For example, I get an application for three files and I want to turn back only one of them, but as it stands, I need to turn back all three. The applicant has to choose three files again and re-apply, which is very time-consuming.

Upload Completion Notification
I love how I am notified when a set of files are uploaded into a specific folder but I am having one very key issue. I will receive the notification upon upload, but many times because it is 10+ large images, the images are not done uploading. I will review the folder but be unaware that the Upload is not complete. I may see 5 images with 5 still uploading.
Is there a way Box could show us of upload progress? OR possibly send a second notification when the upload is complete?

My Collection and Favorite to be independent on the Web
Hi Team,
The client requested that My Collection and Favorite to be independent from each other on the Web so that it is easier to see each folder inside.
The client has an image something similar to what is now on the mobile app.
Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Reconcile behavior between Edit and Drive after a conflict
There is different behavior between Box Drive and Box Edit when uploading after conflicted happened. We would like to change behavior as same as Box Edit. This difference might lead to be confusion for the customer.
Actual Behavior at this moment:
Box Drive
1. User A opens and edits file X without lock via Box Drive.
2. User B opens and edits file X without lock via Box Drive.
3. User B saves the file X via Box Drive. Upload the changes as version 2 to file X
4. User A saves the file X via Box Drive. Conflict happened. Create a conflict copy like file X (email address).
5. User A saves file X again while keeping it open. Upload the changes as version 3 to file XBox Edit

Provide the ability to customize the message that is sent to workflow participants when starting a Relay workflow.
I have a review workflow that I want to use repeatedly. Each time I start the workflow I have specific instructions that I want the workflow participants to see. This is usually a complete timeline for the review cycle in which the current review might be the first or subsequent steps.
My workaround right now is to send a separate email to the workflow participants, but this means they get 2 emails about the same review.
