Aliases - Better Email Alias Management from Managed Users Page
Currently, email aliases for users are poorly exposed in the Users page of the Admin Console and we also provide poor alias management functions on the users tab too.
Key Gaps:
1. No ability to promote an alias to be primary directly from the Managed Users page (must use instant log in - which not all co-admins have - in order to make this change)
2. No ability to remove an alias from the Managed Users page4 votesThis suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on improving the performance and user interface to manage users before we add enhancements to manage email aliases.

Upload/Change User Avatars (Profile Pictures) from Managed Users Page in Admin Console
Currently user avatars (profile pictures) can only be added, removed, or changed from an individual user's account settings and these avatars are not editable whatsoever via the admin console. Meaning for an admin to add one on behalf of a user or to remove one, they must use instant log in (which not many co-admins have).
When clicking to edit a user from the Admin Console -> Managed Users page, options to manage the user's avatar should be presented (just like we have for editing their name, email, etc.).

Ability to change File extension in 'save as' for Office on premise integration
When saving a file in Office on prem, we would like to have the ability to change the file extension for docx to pdf.
We have a number of legal processes where e have to be able to create pdfs. At the moment, we have to save the file to the desktop as a pdf and then re-upload to Box.
1 voteThis is not currently planned. We will let you know if anything changes.

Thanks for the suggestion!
Unfortunately, at this moment we don’t have the technical bandwidth to support Arabic and other right-to-left languages.

Previews may load more slowly the first time if the file has not been converted yet. Some file types may not be pre-converted. Subsequent viewings should be faster for these files.
Preview loading performance is something we’re always focused on improving, but there are no specific efforts on the roadmap for this right now.

Inactive folder owners content not available to other collaborators in the folder
Currently, if a folder owner is made inactive, the collaborators in the folder can't access the content. If you allowed users to copy content to a new folder, it would cause issues if retention polices are in place as users can't currently set policies for folders.
Additionally, if they copy the content to a folder with a greater retention period the extended timeline will then be applied to the content.
If a folder owner is made inactive and the folder has a retention policy applied to it can this folder automatically be transferred a nominated person with Governance admin rights…
0 votesWill need to understand the use case more (please also note that some customers will transfer content under an inactive owner to another active user).

Outlook: Add Ability to Save the Email Itself (the .msg file or a PDF of it), Not Just the Attachment
There are use cases (given Box's retention capabilities) for users to save Outlook emails themselves (.msg files) to Box using Box for Office. The Box for Office integration currently only allows the user to 'Save Attachments to Box', which doesn't save the actual email itself.
SPECIFIC REQUEST: Adjust the 'Save Attachments to Box' button/feature to include an option to save the email itself (as a PDF or the .msg file) to Box along with the attachment.

Admin Trash -- Include Items in 'Trash' when using Search in Content Manager from the Admin Console
Search in the Content Manager does not currently include items in Trash. This is a security/eDiscovery challenge currently.

Remove "Mail All collaborators" button for folders with high numbers of collabs
This mail all functionality often fails (and produces strange behaviour such as repeatedly emailing people) when there is a high number of collaborators in the folder
0 votesThere are customer use cases for this button. Therefore, we will keep it. Thank you for the feedback!

Support Multi-Select for Granting Folder Access to Groups (via Folder Picker on Groups Page of Admin Console)
Admins must currently add folders to Groups in the Admin Console on a one-by-one basis, so if an admin has 10 folders to add, that's a lot of clicks.
You could simplify this process by supporting multi-select in the folder picker that's provided when editing a Group from the Admin Console.
3 votesThis suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on improving the performance and user interface to manage users in the Users & Groups tab before we add enhancements to group bulk operations. We will provide an update in the next few quarters.

Push Notifications for @Mentions
Box push notifications on iOS are very limited currently and only send the user a push notification when...
- There's a comment added to a file and they're the most recent uploader
- They've been added to a folder
The most logical other push notification to add would be for @mentions which, in theory, would increase overall adoption of comments as well.

Mobile Editing via Google Docs/Sheets/Slides Apps
We would like the Box + Google integration to natively support editing of Google Docs/Sheets/Slides via the existing Google mobile apps for Docs/Sheets/Slides.
29 votesWe understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap.

SSO auto-provisioning via mobile
We're running into an issue with their largely mobile workforce around SSO auto-provisioning via mobile. There is a pretty significant population of users who have attempted to log in for the first time via the Box for EMM app without having previously created a managed user account through the web app.

Automated Email Notifications Based on Metadata Values
Provide the ability to set automated email notifications based on values entered into folder/file metadata.
For example, 'send a reminder email to X people X days prior to the date entered in the 'lease expiration' metadata field on a file.

Remove 'Get our app to view this on mobile' Text/Link in Emails for EMM-Enabled EIDs OR Allow Link Customization
For customers that use Box for EMM (and have disabled the standard Box apps), the 'get our app to view this on mobile' link/text in the standard Box email notifications (like for @mentions, uploads, etc.) is confusing because users in that EID won't actually be able to log into the standard Box app that it links to.
REQUEST:
1. Either provide the option to remove this text from emails
OR
2. Allow customization of this text to change the link that it points to (so a customer can link to their software/app catalog where users download the Box for EMM…8 votesHey there! Thanks for submitting this feedback, but due to competing priorities, we cannot put this ask on our roadmap at this time.

Enhanced data loss prevention for MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) mobile apps that integrate with Box.
Currently, users who connected their corporate Box account to a MS Office mobile app, can duplicate files to another storage location. It would be ideal if Admins had the ability to prevent users from duplicating a file originally stored on Box, and preventing them from using the Duplicate feature to copy the file to another storage location like Dropbox/OneDrive.
