  1. Total File Count by File Type via Admin Console

    We would like to see how many files are in Box at any given time and by file type. This would help drive the seamless use of Box across our org. due to the amount of content we already have stored.

  4. Prevent End Users from Updating Email Aliases in Account Settings

    Current: Users are able to add any email addresses as aliases to their accounts

    Request: Create a setting in the Admin Console that can be enabled to prevent end users from modifying their aliases if it is being managed by Admins via API/SAML. Alternatively, enable a setting that limits users to only be able to add email aliases that match registered domains for the EID.

  5. Update the "Updated" field for a file on the web app when that file gets renamed

    This field does get updated when renaming a folder, but not a file. When editing a file, it also gets updated. The behavior should be consistent for all action types.

  6. Allow for file or folder name to wrap

    Longer file or folder names do not display the whole name in the new UI.

    We have specific naming conventions that are longer than the current character count.

    The old web app allowed for wrapping. Please restore this functionality.

  10. Add column to the User Activity Report that shows the full file path for any file or folder activity

    Currently, it only shows a column called "Contained in Folder" which is not enough for most investigations.

    For the moment, I think this needs to be accomplished via our APIs.

  11. Excel Online Previewer - Allow Zooming In / Out

    Need a way to zoom in/out while using MS Excel Online Preview. Currently zoom in/out using web browser is the only way. This is not really user friendly.

  17. Increase number of folders in move/copy window

    This is currently at 500 folders. Over 500 folders and we have to search. New folders take 15 minutes to index in a Search.

  18. Security Log should cover features in "Folder Settings".

    Specifically, the setting called "Only folder owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites".

    We don’t currently plan to add this to the logs.

    However, it should be noted that there are compensating controls for this, such as restricting the ability to change this setting at the EID level, or not adding users as Editors in folders where there is sensitive material.
