Enable assignement of taxonomy metadata fields using variables in Add Metadata Outcome
Currently, a taxonomy field in the metadata template used by a form can be completed (that is, the person completing the form can select a value from the taxonomy), but in an Automate workflow the value that is selected cannot be applied to a file using the Add Metadata outcome, because that field type does not allow value assignment via a variable.
The only way to make this work is to use a Dropdown field in the metadata template. Those do allow the use of variables to assign values in the Add Metadata step. BUT, that creates a maintenance nightmare for the following reasons:
1) If the same values are needed in multiple metadata templates, they have to be added to each one separately, as individual Drop Down fields. We have a taxonomy that has 40 items in it, and since we can't use that as a field in the template, it means that we have to hand-enter the same 40 items in a new Drop Down field every time we want to expose those values in a form, and
2) When the value(s) in that "taxonomy" change, each and every metadata template that has a field that exposes those values has to be edited. And there's no easy way to identify which metadata templates use the field, so the only way to make sure that you don't have a regression is to check every single one.
Obviously, both of those are huge issues at scale. How this wasn't implemented properly from the beginning is completely beyond me. It should be a high priority fix.

When a data classification is set to detect social security or credit card numbers and detects that, generate an alert email to be sent to the Admins. This was an option under the old Governance solution. That ability was lost under the new Shield Classification method. Why are third party tools required, such as a SIEM, to get notifications of sensitive data?

A feature to export Box Relay execution history for specific time periods
We would like a feature that allows us to export the execution history of Box Relay for a specific time period.
When a system failure or issue occurs, we need to quickly check and identify the impact across all workflows at once, which is currently very difficult when managing a large number of Box Relays and workflows. Having an export feature for specific timeframes would allow us to efficiently investigate and respond during such incidents.

Annotation feature for images pasted into BoxNotes
After pasting an image into BoxNotes, I want to add text or lines on top of it.
Sometimes need to use annotations for work, but since BoxNotes doesn’t have an annotation feature, I find it inconvenient.
We would like to see this feature implemented to improve usability.BoxNotesで画像を貼り付けた後、画像の上に文字や線を入れられるようにしたいです。
業務で注釈を使うケースがありますが、BoxNotesにおいては注釈機能がないことから不便に感じることがあります。

Tengo una cuenta particular de Box creada originalmente mediante Google. Necesito poder iniciar sesión utilizando una contraseña de Box, sin depender de Google. En Configuración de cuenta → Autenticación aparece “No se ha creado ninguna contraseña”. Al seleccionar “Crear contraseña” aparece “Se ha producido un problema al cambiar la contraseña”. Ya hice el restablecimiento de contraseña mediante el enlace de Box, pero la cuenta sigue sin reconocer una contraseña y al iniciar sesión continúa redirigiéndome a Google. Necesito que habiliten/corrijan la contraseña de Box para esta cuenta.

Shared Link Permissions Should Override Collaborator Permissions - or make it a setting option
Currently, collaborator role overrides shared link permissions for logged in users. At my organization, we have several use cases for preferring the inverse.
For example, we have a folder where documents are stored that are available to be shared externally. Everyone who has a business need to share these documents externally is a collaborator in the role of Viewer. They are in the role of Viewer to block them from moving these files out of the folder. They should only be ale to copy. We have a shared link to the folder on our intranet that is set to "People with the link can view and download."
Instead, they share these files externally by either creating a shared link to send to external users or copy the files and move them into a folder where the intended recipient is a collaborator.
Under the classification that enables us to create external shared links, Viewers are blocked from downloading, which blocks them from copying the file to the shared folder by downloading it and re-uploading it. So in order to do this, they must log out to download the file, then log back in to upload it to the folder. The classification can't be changed to "internal only" (which would allow Viewers to download) because this blocks the users who generate shared links from creating a shared link that can be accessed externally.
This would be solved if the shared link permission to download overrode the collaborator permission of Viewer in this case.

Feature Request: Add Updated-By (Modifier) List Display and Filter in Box Search
Currently, Box's standard search UI does not provide a list of file modifiers (updated-by users) within search results, nor does it offer the ability to filter search results by a specific modifier. Users need the ability to find files based on who last updated them, but currently this is not possible unless the user already knows the exact name of the modifier. We request the addition of a faceted search feature that displays a list of modifiers found within the search results, allowing users to select and filter by a specific modifier directly from the search results page.

Begin big UAC problems in windows
I have UAC problems after Box Drive install. my computer hide file dialogs commonly changing filename or delete or move files or folders at C: drive or insided files/folders. I am working problem without user files (user directory containing files example Desktop or Documents). I was change anything in C drive (also c drive insided files/folders like C:\Python\ ) the computer show dialog and i continued operations. Problem begin before Box Drive install. What is Box drive changed system settings. Please help me.

Default Search Everywhere
While I understand the need to search only in a folder, my company uses the search everywhere function way more.
Is there a way to make the search "everywhere" option the default instead of search "only in this folder"? It slows us down so much right now having to switch it to find a different folder without going back to the home page, or switching the search feature.

Enable Reliable Exports for Large amount of Content
When there’s a large amount of content, the folder and file report export gets canceled. Please make it possible to complete the export.
If exporting everything at once is difficult, splitting is fine—please allow selecting multiple folders and batching the export instructions.

Please enable the standard Sign functionality to set Reminders for a Sign Request when generated inside Box Automate. A nice addition would be to be able to update that Reminder settings on a specific Sign Request through the Sign API after a Sign document is in progress.

Auto-populate top result when tagging users
When I am tagging someone in the online platform, it would be very convenient if the first name on the drop down list is automatically highlighted instead of needing to press down on my keyboard to select it, even if it is the only option. Essentially auto-populate with the top search result. This will allow users to only press "Enter" instead of "Down + Enter". I usually will type a few extra letters of someone's name to ensure they are the top result any ways (ie. if I type "@John Ad", I would like John Adams to be automatically selected so I only press enter).

Make Folder Auto-Delete Retry Past-Due Items
Please improve Folder Automatic Actions so that folders with a deletion date in the past are also included in later auto-delete runs.
Currently, if deletion fails on the scheduled date for any reason, the folder remains undeleted afterward.
Requested change:
configured deletion date = processing date
→ configured deletion date <= processing date
This would make auto-delete more reliable even when processing is missed due to maintenance or a temporary issue.【In Japanese】

現状は、指定日の削除処理が何らかの理由で失敗した場合、その後も削除されず残ります。
要望する変更内容：
設定された削除日 = 処理日
→ 設定された削除日 <= 処理日
これにより、メンテナンスや一時的な問題で当日の処理が実行できなかった場合でも、後続処理で削除できるようになり、自動削除の信頼性が向上します。3 votes -

Limit file naming to match Windows and iOS Requirements
Box allows special characters in file names that Windows and iOS do not. This causes an issue when we sync files between Box and our network server: Box will accept special characters when naming or renaming a file on the Box side - but when that syncs back to our servers - the file name contains bad characters that windows doesn't recognize - so the file doesn't sync.
Please limit your file naming to disallow the same special characters as Windows and iOS.

Show in Box Drive or Reveal in Finder from Box Web
When I am looking at file in Box on a web browser, I want a button that takes me straight to the file in Box Drive/a macOS Finder window. We can already do that in the other direction (see attached, "View on Box.com"); it would be convenient to be able to do this in both directions. I don't know what the Windows equivalent is. Thanks for your consideration.

Make login box for SSO configurable
When a Box environment switches to SSO Test Mode, the login dialog box changes so that it has two buttons: "Continue" and "Not part of <org name>." This is confusing to users - they may not know IT is testing SSO, and not know what to do to access Box at that time.
If those two buttons' labels were configurable, admins could replace that text with something clearer to their users, such as "Click her to log in with Microsoft credentials" and "Click here to log in with Box username and password."
