Enhanced Folder Naming for Signature Links
Current Issue
When documents are issued via Box Sign signature links, the folders created during storage are named with dates only. We would like the ability to include document-identifying codes or keywords in folder names.Current behavior:
File names are preserved, but folders are subsequently named with dates only
When signature links are sent to multiple recipients, it becomes difficult to quickly identify which document belongs to which person
Lack of clear organization makes document management challenging
Proposed Enhancement
Folder naming should include:Signature recipient's name
Document-identifying keywords or codes
Customizable naming conventions
Business Impact
This enhancement would significantly improve document organization and retrieval efficiency, especially when managing multiple signature requests simultaneously. It would reduce time spent searching for specific signed documents and improve overall workflow management.Use Case
When sending signature requests to multiple people for the same or different documents, administrators need to quickly identify and locate specific signed documents without having to open each folder to determine its contents.Current Issue

Cannot permanently delete a file with a retention policy before its expiration date (immediately)
Please enable immediate deletion for files that have a retention policy set for a specific period.
Additionally, there is an issue where files remain accessible via shared links until the retention policy period expires, so we would like to request implementation of a feature that disables shared links for items that meet specific conditions.

2 votes -
Filter on multiple text values in text data type
Currently, a metadata field needs to already be a multiselect to use the Match Any to allow form multiple match cases for a given metadata field. If the data type is a text field you and only match on one value.
Essential, we would like to be able to create an OR conditional match on multiple values for a text field when querying metadata in a Box App View.

Box Drive: Safe Column Width Fixation
The default column width is too narrow when viewing in Box Drive, and it is not possible to apply column width locking. I would like to request an improvement to this feature.

Ability to Toggle AI Autofill on Folders via API
AI Autofill can only be enabled on folders through the Box UI. Having an API endpoint to enable AI Autofill at the folder level so it can be automated during folder provisioning would save a lot of time.
In our use case, a Salesforce Flow creates a Box folder structure, applies metadata templates, and configures cascade policies. Being able to toggle AI Autofill via API would allow the entire process to run end-to-end without manual steps and avoid maintaining custom AI Extract + metadata upload automation as a workaround.

About the Behavior of the iOS Version of Box for Microsoft Teams
When attaching a file from Box to a chat in the iOS version of Microsoft Teams using “Upload file” and sending the message, I would like the sent message to display the attached file properly.
Current behavior:
When performing the above operation, the sent message does not show the attached file. The sender receives an email notification indicating that the chat recipient has accepted collaboration on the file, but the recipient receives no notification. The file simply appears under “All files” for the recipient.
Meanwhile, on Box, the file is uploaded to the Microsoft Teams Chat Files folder and is already shared with the chat recipient for collaboration.(Regarding the above improvement request, we have contacted both Box and Microsoft as a support issue. Although both parties recognize it as a problem that should be addressed, it has not been resolved, which is why we are submitting it here.)

Expired Shared Link lookup for Admins
Problem: Admins often need to do investigation of files stored in Box and all they have to go off of is the file/folder's shared link.
Many times, users are reaching out to Technical Support because a Shared Link is Expired.
Key Features:
-Provide ability to enter an Expired shared link (standard or vanity URL)
-Information returned after searching:
-File/folder name
-File/folder owner
-File/folder location (Owner -> Folder hierarchy)
-Status (whether the file/folder has been deleted or not)
-Admin-level 'delete' (ability for the admin to delete the file on the spot)CSM filing on behalf of customer

Metadata attribute update
As the increased use of metadata becomes popular, it would be great to have updates attributes in the metadata templates automatically update in the file requests/ forms or metadata options where they are being used.
Currently, in files requests and forms the metadata templates needs to be manually updated in the designated forms, which can be hard to track.
Request: metadata updates to attributes to be dynamically updated in their embedded/ functionality locations

Internal links to documents for collaboration
We use Box Drive for a native experience for users to access documents. The downside is when collaborating on documents, most people tend to upload a copy of the document to an email and send it, which results in multiple versions of the document. On my prior document system, Outlook would allow users to upload a file that was actually a link to the stored document so people could collaborate on it. I know we could create/send a shared link, but this would result in alot of unnecessary links floating around. Could Box Drive/Outlook prompt to upload a link to the actual document rather than a copy of the document? The link would follow existing permissions.

Box AI for Hubs - available to basic Enterprise users, not just Enterprise Pro
All Enterprise levels should receive Box AI for Hubs...it makes no sense to have to pay $20 more per user per month just to get AI in Hubs.

Is it possible to upload a document in box that has links to folders within Box
I would like to know is it possible to create a document that has URLS that connect to other folders within my box tenant, or within my folder structure?

More user-controlled settings (organizational and other)
Allow users to set default sorting method. E.g., I can choose to have files always appear in alphabetical order.
Furthermore, allow users any controls they would have with a regular file explorer. I genuinely don't understand why my workplace wants me to use Box: File Explorer But Worse Somehow™
Let users control their UI. It was reality a mere decade ago and now every company tries to obscure choice beyond reason. It's frustrating. We want our controls back.2 votes -
Make Banner Icon Editable within Box Hubs
There is a small square icon that appears in the banner at the top of Box Hubs, this is the same icon shown on the list view before entering the Hub itself. The customer would like to be able to edit this icon, and remove it. Visually, its redundant and takes up space, and they don't have a good image to input into that space, for each specific hub. They use the banner for this purpose.

Flexible IP Restrictions: Require Strong IdP Auth Rather Than Immediate Block
■Request
We would like Box’s conditional access capability to be enhanced so that, in environments where IP address restrictions are enabled, the IdP’s (e.g., HENNGE) authentication method can be switched based on the source IP.■Specific example (use case):
When accessing from an allowed IP: Log in with standard SSO (e.g., ID/password).
When accessing from a non-allowed IP: Require strong authentication at the IdP, such as a client certificate, in order to log in. Example: Box requests and validates the corresponding assurance level (AuthnContext) and permits login only when the requirement is met. If the requirement cannot be met, explicitly deny access.■Background
Currently, Box’s IP address restriction immediately blocks access from non-allowed IPs at the front end, which prevents us from directing users to stronger authentication at the IdP (e.g., client certificates). There are cases where access from non-allowed IPs is needed when using Box, but requests related to IP address restrictions take several days to process, so it is not practical to submit allow/remove requests for the target IP each time. Therefore, we would like to allow the use of Box from non-allowed IPs if additional conditions (strong authentication) are satisfied.
通常のSSO(例:ID/パスワード)でログイン。
■Request
