Report on installed Box Drive versions by user
Need a report admins can run that will show all users who have ever used Drive and what the last version of Drive they last used was. Ideally there is a Device ID or Device Name as well.
Use Case - Often admins do not have a device management system which would be used to run this report. Without that system in place OR without all devices being managed under it, admins have no visibility into what software is installed on their unmanaged users machines. Box won't be able to tell them all users who have it installed (if it is installed but never used Box has no visibility) but we can tell them for any user who has been active, what the latest version of Drive they used was. This way - they are informed on their install base and know what users may be effected by EOLs, bugs, new features etc.

Fix access rights popup for 100% resolution
We recently observed an issue with the access rights menu where all options are not displayed when you set your resolution to 100%.
Steps to follow to replicate the issue:
1. Click on “Share this folder” option.
2. Click on “Invite as viewer”
On 100% resolution, the options displayed are till “Previewer” and Previewer is also displayed half cut and there is no scroll bar as well, only when you zoom out all the options are displayed. This has been replicated in IE and Firefox as well.1 vote -

Links on PowerPoint slides are shown with yellow overlay. Want to change this setting
Would like the ability to change the way linked objects on PowerPoint slides are shown in Box.com. Currently, hover on a linked object displays a transparent yellow overlay. Suggest this is changed to darken or lighten content, or outline. Best case: let the content creator determine the best method to display their linked content.

We want to use the Box embed widget to display PDFs for the public on our website. But the widget is too cluttered for public consumption.
The embed widget would be much more useful if it wasn't cluttered up with things like who uploaded the file, the file size, a login window (which is super confusing for a public website) and so on.
There needs to be a plain vanilla embed widget or better yet, the ability to turn on and off the extra clutter.

Provide a glossary?
Seat, user, internal user, external user, collaborator, link sharer, editor, viewer, “inviting collaborators,” “sharing links,” and more - that's a LOT of jargon. How about providing a glossary of your terms for the uninitiated?

Ability to have guest accounts
We'd like to have guest Box account for external vendors. Vendors are not allowed to create free Box accounts by their policy. In order to collaborate with external vendors, we'd like to have guest Box account for our vendors.

remove the character limit on invite messages. the message portion is vital my account and sending specific instructions on folder use
remove the character limit on invite messages. the message portion is vital my account and we need to sending specific instructions on folder use and access. this is best when included with the link to the folder as sent by box. ALSO there is nowhere on the site or in the share section that even states there is now a character limit, instead it's just kicking back the invite and preventing it from being sent.

Have a Sync Now option for files
Box Sync on Windows 10 consistently fails to sync, but claims to be up to date. I can see the actual current version on the website, by my local persistently stays several versions back. Fixing that would be great, but also just giving a way to say, "I know you think you're up to date, but sync anyway" would make this less frustrating.

O365 Collaboration Speed Improvement
Whatever API is being used with your Microsoft partner is causing a diminished experience when collaborating with more than 10-12 users in an Excel spreadsheet compared to Google Sheets. I understand that these platforms are fundamentally different and handle collaboration with their own set of customized tools, but the experience in collaboration for Excel for numerous users should be as smooth as working on SharePoint or OneDrive. We don't allow Google in our workflow, collaboration in Excel is laggy, slow and terrible.

Updates Feed - need filter mechanism and ability to go back months in time.
The Updates feed (box.xxxxx/updates) needs a filter mechanism for date/time range, user(s) or even specific parent folder (any activity in or under the specified folder). We utilize box for customer downloads of updates, and need to see when/if they downloaded. Also need ability to specify time range going back at least 1 year.

Fix what you broke!
Recent updates to your service has broken every link and my customers can not access these files until I modify each and every link from the old method to the new method. This is the second time you have done this in the past five years. Seems like a simple fix by your developers to create a batch file to fix all existing links automatically.
This is an example of what needs to be modified for each file I have stored on Box and wish to share with customers...and like I said, I have been down this road with Box before.

Return character in Classification Definition
Currently "Classification Definition" can be written with 'return character' in its input form. But when this "Classification Definition" is shown to the user, 'return character' is being ignored and is shown in one line.
Definition needs to be shown in the same way it was written / configured, and also needs to be shown in several lines when required (e.g. written in multiple languages where each language's definition needs to be shown in each line, instead of all in single line).

split screen 'saving' note is in a terrible spot
So . . . I often use a split screen on my Mac with a text on the left and Box Notes on the right. When I take notes in Box Notes, the cursor eventually descends to the bottom right of the
split-screen window as I type. No problem there. BUT . . . then the 'saving . . . ' oval message pops up from the Box Notes program and obscures the words I'm actually typing. Then the oval messages 'saved' in the same spot. I have to hit return several times to move the text up so that I can see what I'm typing to get out from behind the 'saving/saved' ovals. It is frustrating. Is it possible for Box to move the 'saving . . . ' oval somewhere else in the window, like up in the toolbar? Sincerely, JDCSo . . . Allow enterprise users to control the expiration of invitations
Currently collaboration invitations expire after 30 days, and there's no way to change this in the Enterprise Settings dashboard.

Share folder as read-only/add folder to Box Drive from shared link
Case:
I receive the agenda and related documents for meetings within the department I work at as Shared Links to a folder in Box. I want to access these documents during the meeting directly through Box Drive on my computer. The desired access includes any documents added after I first opened the link. All related accounts are part of the same organisation/"Company" (in this case a university).Current situation:
When I am signed into my Box account and open the link I can view the documents and have two options: "Save link" and "Download". The only way to get it to my Box Drive is to use "Download" and then re-upload the contents to my account. If any documents are added later I need to reopen the link and download these as well. "Save link" does not add anything to my Box Drive folder on the computer. What I want added:
I would like a third button next to "Save Link" and "Download": "Add to account". Selecting this option should allow me to pick a location in my account and save the shared folder with the same permissions as when I open the link in the web interface, e.g. read-only access, but with instant updates when new documents are added.Case:

Disable integration email notification
ForeScout currently has an integration setup with DocuSign to upload a copy of any completed PDFs to Box. When this occurs, we receive an email from DocuSign with the PDF attachment and also the below email from Box. This is the Docusign to Box integration. The email from Box does not provide detail around where the file was saved or a link to access it. Given that we have a rather high volume of these uploads, I was wondering if there was a way to disable email notifications like this.

Automatic retry on files with upload errors
Currently if there is an issue with a file upload (the one I'm currently running into is the "File may be locked or in use" error) Box Sync requires a manual step where you click the Retry button in the Box Sync tray icon context menu.
This is problematic for me because I'm trying to full automate our build pipeline. In my scenario we generate a nightly build, zip it up and copy it to the Box Sync folder. The problem for me has been that it appears that Box Sync is a bit too hasty and attempts to upload the file before the lock has been removed from the copy process.
When Box Sync encounters this type of issue it seems reasonable for Box Sync to retry the upload later automatically.
I think a generic feature for this problem could be to attempt to do an automatic retry on a timer for all upload errors. This could be an optional feature that users can opt into from the settings menu.
Something like:
- A checkbox for automatic upload retry on errors
- Perhaps a number of retry configuration?Currently if there is an issue with a file upload (the one I'm currently running into is the "File may be locked or in use" error) Box Sync requires a manual step where you click the Retry button in the Box Sync tray icon context menu.
