restrict by file type at folder level
Would like the ability to restrict File Types at the folder level, (with Waterfall rule would be ok, but ability to break waterfall would be a bonus).
Currently we use Quarantine Policies to restrict .msg files in Box, but does not allow us to make exceptions by folder. (eg. to allow certain departments this ability, but block from others).4 票 -
Copy file in workflow should create a new version if file already exists
I am creating Quality Management workflows. At the end of the workflow the released document is copied to a new area, that is shared with the consumers of the QM-documentation.
Works fine the first time we run the workflows. If we update the document and run the workflow again, the target file is not versioned: we get a new file with the same name and a timestamp added to it.
I appreciate this behaviour in some situations and understand why you have chosen this solution. However we would like to have the option in the workflow to "version the file, if the target exists".

Azure groups - not modifiable
The azure managed groups should not be modifiable from BOX, as this brings inconsistency in what azure says, as well as brings clutter.
My example:
If you have group 1 in azure, replicated in box group 1, you should not be able to modify box group 1 in box, it should be blocked.
This is already the case in tools like Atlassian, where synced groups from AD are non modifiable.
This brings security breaches, as, in the admin user console, when you search a user, all the access that he has been given by azure groups, do not apear in the console.

Box for Office - Access to Collections
Now that we can organise our files in Box using Collections, it would be good to be able to access this functionality in the Office Apps. This is 'mainly' relevant to the Outlook Box add-in that comes as part of Box for Office for when you want to save to Box or insert from Box.
Excel/Word/PowerPoint - I would argue that the best experience is opening from Edge/Chrome using Box Edit.26 票 -
Rotate/Zoom PDF within Preview
Similar to image types (e.g., jpg, png, etc.) where can rotate within the Document Viewer, be able to rotate pdf within Document Viewer in Box. Reason being, sometimes images are embedded within pdf to which may need to rotate to get a better view of.

Warning Message When Using the Overwrite Cascading Policy
A warning message pops up When cascading template values to documents/folders, if the overwrite is going to affect several documents/folders. For example, are you sure you want to overwrite the values in *** of documents.

Candidate destinations are not displayed when inviting files to collaborate(Box for iOS)
Box for iPhone/iPad and Box for EMM don't offer suggested recipients when you invite collaborators to a file.
When inviting a collaboration to a folder, a list of possible recipients is displayed. Please do the same in the mentioned app.

Add tasks to main API
I am trying to use the tasks feature as a method of notifying our automation software that it has work to do via your API. However, I can find no method for a user to list all their tasks. Your web app has an undefined endpoint:xxxxxx.app.box.com/app-api/tasks/inbox?limit=10&taskcollaboratorrole=ASSIGNEE&taskstatus=INPROGRESS,NOT_STARTED
Can this be added to the main API?

Box Note Table Functions
We want to be able to use equations/functions in Box Notes Tables similar to Excel or Google Sheets functionality. For example, typing AVERAGE = (B2:B4) into cell B5 would find the average of cells B2 through B4.
This would be a very helpful update.

Tags
I'd like to see Box further realize and exploit the power of tags. From what I have seen, Box has only utilized the tip of the iceberg when it comes to tags. Below is a list of capabilities that would be amazing to use!
- Tag Viewer: a place to manage, rename, delete tags, and more.
- Tags appear and clickable in search results
- Ability to tag document in editor
I’ve been a devout Evernote user for years and they have a strong tag game. Evernote has been the backbone of my business for 10 years, and tags are the backbone of Evernote in my experience.

Warning/Prompt before deleting items in Box Drive
This is to avoid users accidentally deleting content in Box Drive. Users sometimes delete items unintentionally and it's too late for them when they receive email notifications.

Auto-notify collaborators when a file is uploaded to a folder
The folder owner should be able to create an email notification for all subscribers to the folder to receive a notification when a new file is uploaded to Box.
The email would be sent to the user's email on file for that Box folder. The user would not have to update his/her own settings. The folder owner would set notifications, and the user would have to turn them off if too frequent.
The scenario is that a shared Box folder with <10 users. The users are generally infrequent users of Box, so do not proactively check on the folder frequently. A push notification (email) that something is updated will help an Admin significantly to manage the project and ensure that everyone knows the new data was uploaded.

Make collections have the ability to playlist sequence a song list. The web client is missing any ability to playlist songs.
On the web app, we're missing any way to playlist and sequence a song list. The iphone app does this automatically with folders, but we need this feature on the web app! The collections would be the perfect place to be able to do this!

Fix the display of "More Options" menus from file lists
Clicking the "..." (More Options) menu popup from a file list often results in a truncated menu being displayed, rendering several options unreachable. I should not have to load a preview of a file in order to upload a new version. This is a UI defect.
