Real-Time Reporting on Usage
For any folder or user we should be able to see what their usage patterns are like without needing to run ad hoc reports. Reports are currently very slow and it's very difficult for the team to know simple information like "did X collaborator view the folder", "who has viewed folder X", "has anyone downloaded any files from X". Even reports themselves are difficult to set up because often you need to make sure to select sub-folders. I'm right now waiting over 30 minutes to answer the question, did X external collaborator view folder Y.

Native to Box Music Player integration
We would like a native-to-Box music player. Formerly, the 'autoplay' function, when enabled on a music file such as MP3, would then cause all the remaining songs in a folder to play through, ie so you could listen through to a full album instead of needing to press 'play' on each track one by one. Now that function is gone. But we'd like to see a better solution in general for listening to music files we own.

Ability for administrator to set "Legacy Invite Expiration"
We want the administrator to be able to set "Legacy Invite Expiration" .
Legacy Invite Expiration cancels outstanding invites to join a Box enterprise that have not been accepted after one year,
but one year is a long time and raises concerns about security.
Therefore, we would like to be able to select the timing of expiration, such as 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months.

Ability to add and remove columns from box note tables from the box app on iPhone
I need to be able to add and remove columns from box note tables from the box app on my iPhone. This feature is currently not available. To add or remove rows and columns from box note tables I have to use a web browser.

Improve Excel edit management
The synch for Excel does not seem to work very consistently or effectively. Simple edits on a table caused the file to split into 4 separate versions.

View file audit log with "Deleted users" name on files even after users have been removed.
It is not a feature of Box to allow "file audit logs" to persist on files showing a deleted users name as the person who made the changes and currently when you remove a user all the collaborators (non-admins) can see is "user made change" instead of the person's name. Yes, you can pull a file management report, but that is for admins and does not provide the teammates of the file any insight as to who was the person that made this change, nor does it help admins determine it easily either. Add the service name that locked file to the Lock property
There is a issue that Box Drive and other third party apps can open files that are being edited in Office Online.
When I am editing a file in Office Online, the user who is editing the file becomes me, so I can edit the file regardless of whether it is locked.
This issue can be solved if we know the name of the service that did the locking.
Therefore, please add the service ID/name that locked file to the Get File API response.1 vote -

Ability to not display the Dev console
For company operations, the Admin does not want end users to develop Box applications.
Therefore, we would like to configure the admin side to not show the "Dev console" to end users.

Configure file uploading for .extension files
Box synchronization issue comes if file name is started from .extension. Same thing works fine during manual uploading process. A provision should be added to configure the filter settings to upload during file synchronization.

Request refresh token update again
OAuth2 refresh token update can be performed only once.
* Because the previous refresh token becomes invalid immediately.
However, there are unfortunate cases where a network disconnection occurs and the client is unable to obtain the refresh token.
Therefore, we would like to change the behavior so that the refresh token update can be requested again only for a short time.

Rename dialog - for open file in Box web interface from Box Drive "Error updating an item..."
For me, the most common Box Drive updating error is a "Unsupported Name" (i am a Windows user). Please, make the "Error updating an item..." dialog more useful - give the opportunity to rename the file "in place", or at least the way to open the file in a Box web interface to correct the error

Ability to access Sub-links under shared folders on mobile
Our agency staff commonly sends out content links to customers by navigating to a file or folder under an existing shared folder link, then copying that link and directing customers to the specific content without creating an additional shared link. This is valuable to us because we don't want hundreds of shared links, the original content owner may not be available and we want to direct our customers as quickly and precisely as possible.

Augment existing collaborator permissions in inherited subfolders
Scenario:
Folder A is shared with User X with Viewer permission
Folder B is a subfolder of Folder A, on which User X requires Editor permissionAccording to support, the only way to accomplish this in the web UI is to first remove User X as a collaborator on Folder A, add them as an Editor on Folder B, and then re-add them as a Viewer on Folder A
This is clunky, annoying, and results in a lot of extra notifications.
Clearly this is supported by the underlying file system because you can do it directly with the Box CLI:

Better searchability on assets
inside of a folder with hundreds of assets, it would be amazing to have the letters a-z on the left side so you can click on the letter that corresponds with the first letter in an assets title and go directly to those assets. For example, if you click on 'G'. all assets that start with the letter 'G' come up.
Currently you have to scroll. sometimes for a while to get to the proper file. When you have hundreds of assets within 1 folder it's laborious to get to the one you want!4 votes
