Restore Box Drive behavior on MacOS when it mounted as an external hard drive with on-demand file streaming
Product: Box Drive Version 2.24.193 installed 2021-10-12 on MacOS 11.6
Newest release 2021-10-12 has removed the "external hard drive behavior" and on-demand file streaming feature (as illustrated in first 2 minutes of https://youtu.be/t7tPs1naUtY), which was THE reason I use Box. Now it behaves like OneDrive: (1) viewing Box file requires full download, (2) downloaded file remains on computer until manual removal, (3) dragging and dropping into Box folder literally moves file rather than copying file. Child Sexual Abuse Material
Apple's recent announcement of measures taken to improve child safety (https://www.apple.com/child-safety/) have raised an important concern about content stored in Box and what measures we can take as an enterprise to address it. While there does not appear to be anything that we can do at this point, perhaps adding a feature in Shield that provides MD5 pattern matching (similar to known malware scanning) that would allow administrators to be alerted when this kind of material shows up in their Box instance.

Include Folder Description in File/folder reports
Due t the large amount of files, folders and collaborators (internal and external) in our organization we heavily rely on folder/file reports to manage content and educate new users about the content layout. Being able to include the "Folder Description" in this report would be TREMNDOUSLY helpful. Is this something you could add in the very near future? Thank you.

Ability to restrict access to specific folders from mobile devices
We need to be able to restrict our users from viewing secure content on their phones. But not all of our content is secure. We would like to provide the convenience to our users of accessing their files via box, but restrict specific, secure, project related files from mobile access.

Include a Domains or Enterprise column in External Collaborations Report
Currently, if you create an external collaborations report in the Admin Console you will have columns that include a user's email address and whether they are External. Ideally, for some use cases it is helpful to be able to organize this data by enterprise/domain so you can see what information/content is not only being shared with which users, but which enterprises as a whole at a more macro level

It would be great with Box Sign, if when a document is completed the email also includes a copy of the document, not just a link

Box Sign - Make PDF form fields fillable
Box Sign does not currently recognize embedded PDF form fields. You can add a text, date, checkbox, or signature field to a PDF document, but the original form fields are unavailable (but left intact).
Use case: We ask our contractors to complete IRS W-9 forms using the standard IRS fillable PDF forms. If Box Sign could recognize the embedded fields in the IRS forms, our contractors could fill out, sign, and file the forms in one process. It would be fantastic if you have a list in Box note, the items you mark as "complete" get moved to the bottom of the list.

Feature that allows end users who are collaborating on a folder to see information about deleted items
If someone accidentally deletes a folder or file, it needs to be recovered as soon as possible because it will be completely deleted within a certain period of time.
However, by the time the end user realizes that the item has been deleted, it may already be too late and the item may have completely disappeared.The sooner the end user can confirm the information about the deletion, the sooner it can be dealt with.

Ability to get list of annotations through an API
I would like to use API to get a list of annotations for a file.
I can use the API to get comments on a file, but not the annotations.
Could you please implement such an API?
For example, something like this.

Ability to copy/duplicate files
My local City sends out links to files that expire in 30 days or so.
Currently I download those files, then upload them back to box,net.The "copy" feature for such links seems to copy the links, not create a safe local copy of the data.

Smart Access: Allow move/copy even with download restriction
Download restriction restricts external users (editor permission) from moving content within folders they have access to. There should be an option to restrict download but also allow for moving and copying within folders that have the classification policy because to an end user, this is not a download function.

Bring back home directory "mountpoint" on the mac
I don't know if it's just me, or some problem with the privacy etc settings that have been a moving target with OSX lately, but after my latest reboot on a fully updated MacBook I was greeted with a popup from Box Drive saying it is now fully MacOS 12 compatible, and lo and behold, my /Users/app/Box directory is gone. I can only access Box files from the Explorer, but not the command line. I never looked into what the Box drive was exactly, a link, a mountpoint, no idea, but I miss it badly.

Share link disclosure range for images and file previews inserted in Boxnotes
It is possible to insert images and share links in Boxnotes and set up file previews, but there are users who can access Boxnotes but cannot see the images or previews because they do not have access to them.
However, users who insert links or images often don't realize that they are restricted because they can see the images or previews.When inserting images or previews into Boxnotes, I would like to see a warning that says "Other users may not be able to see this."

Update Email Format
Allow formatting of the email. When received on an Outlook Exchange Email Server, the button and the "Review Document" phase are the same color. Also, the copy and paste link should wrap to fit the screen instead of running the entire long URL on one line. When it is all on one line, the signer has to search and scroll side to side to find the button.

Add custom Box metadata to the data that Airtable can access through their integration
The Airtable + Box integration is very interesting but today when you link a Box folder to Airtable it only pulls over basic FILE metadata and not any of the custom metadata that maybe attached to the file or folder. If Airtable could pull the custom metadata and use that in the data view we could easily create a Metadata View of the folder that would be very useful for cases like Contracts or DAM.
