file content search
My company has elected to encrypt all box information which I do agree with. However this disables a major function of being able to search all file content. If a user is able to read encrypted data then the user should be able to build encrypted search indexes for file content. This is a major flaw that should be corrected by box.

Select the type of access from Box for Outlook.
【Prerequisites】
Folder Settings>Only collaborators can access this folder via shared links
Set to "Folders Only". ( *It is not "Files Only". )【Method】
1.Run the Box for Outlook "Upload and Attach".
2.Select the items you want to attach to the email and select a folder in the Box.
3.Select the type of access.
*However, the pull-down for selecting the type of access will only show "Users in this folder".【Requests】
Even when the above preconditions have been set,
we want to select "People with the link" or "People in Company" or "invited people only" from Box for Outlook.【前提条件】

extend external collaborators
Our internal policy expires external collaborators after 90 days. We have a few folders where we have over 400 external collaborators where we would like to maintain access beyond 90 days Is it possible to programmatically extend access to the users in those folders.

excel online
It'd be great if I could share Excel, Word, etc Online links directly with external users without having the additional step of Preview. This way the collaborator can click on the link and just start editing realtime, like they would a Google Doc/Sheet, etc.

A feature that allows the user who sent the message by "Send Shared Link
Share > Shared Link - Send Shared Link "ON" > Messages (optional)
A feature that allows the user who sent this to check the messages sent in the past.
e.g. The message is output to the report.Currently, there is no corresponding feature, so we are thinking of adding my own (sender's) email address to the recipient.

Folder Hyperlink to link to Page X of Y within folder that holds the actual document.
When using Search and click folder hyperlink, the result should link to Page X of Y within folder that holds the actual document. This will allow user to see associated TAGS.

Approval Task Message box
When creating an Approval Task, the message box could be bigger. When typing a comment that is more than one line and you want to review the message in it's in entirety, you have to use the up/down arrows . Make the message box either 4", or allow that box to be made larger from a corner (drag it bigger)

Box UI Content Explorer and Content Picker: Support Download ZIP Natively through top-level Element options
Box's REST API now supports ZIP downloads via the external API in addition to the internal managed web app. It has been a common ask to provide native support for this endpoint in the Box UI Elements - Content Explorer & Content Picker UI Elements through exposing the feature as a top-level option/property when rendering the UI Elements.

transferring annotations
Hi. I'm a professor and I created a BoxNote with a text I want my students to annotate collaboratively. I added some annotations, comments, and hyperlinks to get them started. Then I copied this BoxNote to another folder for a second section of the class. The hyperlinks transferred, but the annotations and comments did not. It would be cool if BoxNote supported the total transfer of material in a text, not just the hyperlinks. AND I can't copy and paste all those annotations so now I have to type it all up from scratch. Upgrade from reCAPTCHA v2 to reCAPTCHA v3
The pictures shown in reCAPTCHA v2 like traffic lights and crosswalks are vague, leading many users to fail to log in.
As a result they would like Box to use reCAPTCHA v3 instead.5 votes -
Move "Trash" UI button away from "Upload New Version"/"Download"
When a file is selected (but not being previewed), the updated placement and design of UI buttons make it easy to accidentally select "Trash" when I mean to select "Upload New Version" or "Download." Please move the "Trash" button to a location that would require more determined thought to select it. Alternately, "Trash" could be spelled out or an otherwise more unique UI button.
5 votesThanks for the feedback. Currently, we have a tooltip that shows “Trash” when hovering over the icon. We will keep monitoring to see if other users share the same confusion.

I have files and folders on box.com, but the same are not getting synced with my desktop. How do I make the web folders come into my desktop
I have created files on my ipad and the same are created on box.com webpage also, but they are not syncing with my desktop
What I save on my phone or ipad is not coming into my desktop?

Notification for Incompatible Characters in file and folder names
We've run into issues with end users not being able to access content from Box Drive because the file or folder is created with a character that it is incompatible with Microsoft's file explorer.
Could you add in a pop-up visual in the web view that points out when you're using a character that will not be accessible from Box Drive?

Ungroup "Tags"
We still need to be able to see all the tags on a file or folder rather having to click on a grouping link once there are more than a few tags.

Report Data by Zone - Very Helpful for GDPR
Allow admins the ability to run reports and show data residency by zone. So if I was looking to run a report on a specific folder I could essential get information such as:
File\Folder Name
Uploaded\Created Date
Owner

Add Support for Windows Server OS
I see this has been posted int he past, but am going to post again. With the current Remote Work situation the ability to run Box Drive on a Windows Server OS would be extremely useful. We have over 1,000 employees working remotely and collaborating, and those files need to make their way back to our main storage. The best way to do that is by syncing box drive and using a 3rd party application to manage and move the files. This would ideally be done on a server based system for reliability.
