API that can get password change date
The interval at which users are required to change their passwords can be set in the Administration Console, but each user is required on a different day.
We would like to inform users of the next password change date in advance.
You can check the password change date in the user detail report, but it takes time to output it, so if you have an API that can get the password change date, you can create a mechanism to automatically notify it.2 votes -
Relay Trigger "copy out" &"move out"
In Box Relay, the triggers for “copy” and “move” are recognized as “when a file is copied to this folder” and “when a file is moved to this folder.” Can we create triggers such as “when a file leaves this folder” or "when a file in this folder is copied somewhere else"? In other words, I would like there to be a function that allows us to detect when a file has been copied out to an external folder. I hope this feature will be considered.

Add Bulk Files to a Hub
Currently, adding files to a Hub requires each file to be selected individually. Being able to drag a group of files from Box Drive would be really helpful, or some sort of a "Select All" button so that all files within a Box folder could be selected simultaneously.

Include item type in user activity report
When running an User Activity report, the Item ID is included, but not the Item Type. If you're trying to use the Activity report to perform some other action, you have to figure out what the item type is before you can perform the action. Additionally as ?good practice? you should make check both file & folder to ensure that you're not going against the wrong actual item if there's a item with the same type on the other endpoint.
It would save some significant time on report consumer's side if the item type was included in the output report.

Improve the UX when editing filters for a saved report
When editing the filters on a saved report, it is difficult to review the data in the "Users and Groups" field as it is very squashed.
Can you consider making this section larger so it is easier to view any users or groups included in the report. Or maybe have a button to export the list to a text file for easier viewing and modification.

Access restriction by domain
We would like to implement access restrictions not only by IP address but also at the domain level.
This is because there are some integrated services that do not disclose their IP addresses.2 votes -
Request for additional notification settings for BoxDrive
Is it possible to add a setting that periodically sends pop-up notifications when something is on hold or when there is a synchronization error? (It would be ideal to be able to select ON/OFF)

It's hard to believe that these 3 suggestions haven't already been made many times before.
Add option to clear recents section
Add option to choose what to remove from recents section
Add option to disable recents section completely

Use status field in addition to overlay in Windows File Explorer
This would allow users to see status icons for each folder and file without relying on the file/folder icon overlays that Windows limitations make problematic. OneDrive uses the status field in addition to overlays. Box should, too.

Download box appears which is deceiving making people think they have to login
We mostly share documents with external clients. When they access the document and press download, a box shows up (attached) that says the document is dowloading but also says "in the meantime login to your box account...." This is very deceiving and confusing to clients as they think they have to login and don't understand they can just close the box. There has to be a way to eliminate that, change the verbiage or customize this. We work with elderly clients and this continues to be a challenge.

Expose technical metadata
In order to find e.g. the largest version of a media file or to define if the technical parameters of a media file are sufficient for further processing, the exposure of technical meta data should be provided by Box in a standard meta data template which should automatically apply to any file stored in Box.
Technical metadata are:
- for page-based documents like PDF, MS Office, Indesign: number of pages, format/orientation, size in mm h/w
- for bitmap image files (tif, jpg, png, bmp, gif, ...): no of pixels h/w, size in mm w/h, resolution, color space, embedded color profile,…2 votes -
Email Uploader Confirmation on File Request Pages
It would be nice to be able to automatically a formatted "confirmation email" to people who upload files using Box File Request links. It could include a summary of the metadata attributes they add (if applicable), file name, as well a custom statement.
I see that Box Relay has an action to email when a file is uploaded with File Request, but there is not an option to email the person initiating the action/uploading the file.

Quickly get a list of folders with NO collaboratoins
We have a few hundred abandoned/orphaned folders from people who left the enterprise, but did not transfer ownership of files. The folders were not deleted when the accounts were deleted. I could quickly delete quite a few of them if there are no collaborations--going by the logic that if there are no collaborations, there is nothing important in them and could easily be deleted since no one has missed the data for several years.

Expand BoxNotes to full width even when not logged in to Box
If you do not have a Box account, you will not be able to expand the BoxNotes to full width when you open the shared link.
I often create full-width BoxNotes, so I'd like to be able to expand and collapse them full-width even for users who don't have a Box account.-Japanese-

Improve Confirm Box Move prompt text to clarify
When a large folder operation is triffered (eg when a box folder with large number of subfolders and documents is moved or copied), a popup appears as follows:
Title: Confirm Bulk Move; Box logo; text: "You moved 'folder-name' with 'number' items to the 'folder-name' . Due to the large volume of items this will take several hours to sync to Box. Do you want to continue?"I would suggest this should change to make it clearer as the use of present and past tense, and button descriptions make it unclear whether the move is already completed and can be undone,…

Access Control when we allow collaborate invitations from other tenant
Now, we can control nothing when we allow collaborate invitations from other tenants.
We would like to be able to control which users of our company are allowed to which folders of other tenants with what permission level when we allow collaborate invitations from other tenants.2 votes -
Notification when outbound collaboration is blocked by collaboration whitelist
When outbound collaboration is restricted by Box Governance's collaboration whitelist, folder invitations addressed to our managed users from users outside the whitelist will be blocked.
If the source of the invitation is a legitimate business partner, the company user must ask the administrator to add the domain to the whitelist, but the company user receiving the invitation has no way of knowing that it has been blocked.
Thus, the application does not occur, and many collaboration opportunities are lost without being noticed.
(The invitee will receive an error message, but only a handful of Box professionals will understand the message…2 votes
