@mentions Center
I think it would be great to have something similar to the Box Task Center but with mentions. Currently, you can only see them from the little bell icon and scrolling, but once you click on one the dropdown disappears. If it could route you to a page where you could easily manage the mentions received, that would be most helpful. I think they used to have that functionality, but it was removed a while back.

Using folder hierarchy to reduce number of shared folders
It would be great if Box could group by the parent folder if a user is shared more folders from the same parent folder example if i had the following folders
- Projects -> Project A -> Project B -> Project C
If I shared Project A and Project C with a user, it would be better if they saw the following
- Projects -> Project A -> Project C
However if i just share Project A then they would only see this.
This would save having a huge number of folders in the Root of each users account.

Please improve the speed of each process, including the copy process.
If the speed is slow when moving, copying, or deleting large amounts of data
If the speed is slow, it will interfere with business.(In Japanese)

Want to be able to add file request to folders via Zapier
Now you have a dedicated File Request API, it'd be great if I could add File Requests to folders via Zapier (which I use to automate the creation of folders). And then also to get back the File Request URL so can make that part of my workflow.
At a very minimum, you should be able to export a list of all folders and their associated File Request links so that I do not have to copy each one individually after bulk creating folders and bulk adding a File Request to each!

Get Notification on upload
Currently owner of the folder alone will get notifications when a file is uploaded. We have a requirement for the uploader of the file to get notification as well so that it will serve as an acknowledgement for the upload

*.jar files should not be opened like *.zip files
I sometimes share software patches with customers via Box. The files are often .jar... This is the file extension for Java Archives, which are a type of .zip format. However, unlike .zip, they are not intended to be opened by users. The Box interface (desktop at least) previews the files/folders inside a selected .jar file. It is confusing to the user. Instead, these files should be handled as downloads only.

Allow group administrators of SSO-enabled tenants to change the email addresses of group members

group administrators are authorised to change the email addresses of managed users.*

Ability to open password protected files from mobile devices
Until a few weeks ago, password protected files could be opened through the mobile app from a mobile device. Now the attempt to open a password protected file results in an error of "Decryption failed. (null). Password protected files cannot be opened from mobile device from m.box.com or www.box.com either (error is different). Seems to defeat purpose of cloud based storage since so many users depend on a mobile device to open view files from Box storage.

notifications group
Allow users to set per-group notification preferences. My work recently created several umbrella groups that contain 100's of people and these groups get added as collaborators to announcement type documents. These documents generate a lot of noise with comments, etc. Now I have to choose whether to get flooded with notifications or turn them off. I would prefer to disable notifications of just the documents associated with these big umbrella groups, not the notifications for documents to which my account has been specifically added as a collaborator.

Bulk Add someone as a co-owner to existing folders
Make a way to bulk add someone to multiple existing folders in Box as a co-owner. This stems from if you want to make someone a co-admin so they can assist with existing folder creation/access for newer employees of your company you would have to add them to a folder individually to achieve this. If you have many folders this would take a long time as a manual process so a bulk add would make it that easier to do.

Box Capture File Name
I want the file names of Box Capture pictures to be "date and time" instead of "date and sequential numbers", just like when shooting with the Box app.
Example:
Box Capture: "2021-01-11_001.jpg"
Box (Take Photo or Video): "Image 2021-01-11 14.00.00.jpg"Currently, the file names conflict and the files become messed up order, especially when several people share a folder and take pictures.
I would appreciate if you could improve it.

sync to a RAID
Our global video team need a cloud solution that can be saved to our external RAIDs. We need to store and access TB's of footage. Desktop hard drives are no large enough.
We could potentially use the older 'Box sync', but we understand that it is due to be phased out, and it does not support selective offline/online syncing, which we need.

don't show files till all the files are uploaded
I often send files to coworkers and I dislike that the file is downloadable to them before it's actually fully downloaded to box. This ends up creating a corrupt/ non-workable file for them. Also I think the files should not show up on their end before all the files are completely downloaded, in batch uploads because I will have coworkers then say only some of the files are downloaded and it looks like a mistake when it's just still uploading. My Mac will not show JPG or PDF thumbnails

Upgrade Box Drive-G Drive 100 MB Limit Size Limitation
I have a ticket number - #2250687 that has been closed because we need a feature request. When a file is created in Google Docs via Box, most of our users at Apeel keep having issues making changes, saving, sharing or downloading files.
What happens is Google makes edits to the file, the file grows larger than 100 MB, Google then fails to send those changes to Box.
