1. Allow the use of Linux devices as approved devices.

   We had Linux based user using Box web console and as of the July update, they are no longer able to access Box. I would like to see Linx OS be added to the approved Operating Systems list in the Admin Console for enterprise settings.

2. Choose location for files marked for offline

   Similar to Box Sync, would love to be able to choose a specific location for files marked for offline use in Box Drive. At least we could see the thumbnail previews.

   Improve the keyboard shortcut instructions for selecting nonadjacent items in the file list [e.g., under https://app.box.com/folder/]. From these instructions: https://community.box.com/t5/Migrating-and-Previewing-Content/Using-Keyboard-Shortcuts-for-Box/ta-p/25945
   it is not clear and nonobvious that one has to navigate with the up and down arrows to land on the next file that you want to select, then you can press shift-x (which is a command that I've NEVER seen in a user interface).
   Please improve your keyboard shortcuts article to be more explicit.

4. Allow non-admin users to call 'Get Enterprise Users API'.

   I want to develop a program that provides an auto-completion feature that displays the names of enterprise users.

   However, the current "Get Enterprise Users API" could only be called by co-admins.
   I also want to be able to call from other than co-admin.

   By the way, "Get Groups API" could be called from other than co-admins by providing the filter.
   I think there is a contradiction in this specification.

5. API endpoint to return ALL objects (recursively) but simplified to create browser tree

   I am using the jstree library in my application to create a full browser tree of a user's BOX resources. Please create an endpoint to return ALL objects (recursive) available to an authenticated user inside one root folder . These objects would only require the object ID, TYPE, NAME, VERSION and PARENT(parent-id as string instead of parent object). The jstree lib can take this data and create an entire file browsing tree and then users would call up more information when they click on an object. This would greatly reduce the number of API calls to your server and possibly reduce memory usage on your end. My application needs to create this full browser tree anyway to check the status of synced folders and this currently requires multiple consecutive API calls.

6. It will be great if we can connect folder action between multiple flows.

   When you have in the first flow a folder action (copy, move or create), you won't be able to reference the folder in a seconf flow if you want to take action if the task that has been rejected.

   I have created a couple of Relay Flow (Contract Management and HR Onboarding) during the flow I create folder to collect more information from either a vendor a new onboard person, but when the flow get rejected and could not create a rejection flow (Second flow) because could not take action on a folder.

   This could be important when we will like to have more than one document in the flow and could open a bunch of other use cases.

7. Search Box Community Help articles from the question mark menu in Box Web

   Users should be able to search for help with basic Box concepts right from the Web App.

   We suggest adding an input field to the Help (question mark) menu in Box Web.
   Users can type phrases like "shared link" or "permissions" and get lead to relevant Box community Help articles.

8. User Activity Report to log all User Events that happened in external outbound folder (grey folder)

   Currently, User Events (such as file upload, download and delete by Managed Users) that happened in external outbound folder (grey folder) are logged and can be obtained via Box API. And these user activities within grey folder (by Managed Users) shall be logged in User Activity Report.

   These User Events may be required to be kept for few years due to organization's security policy. But currently, User Events are only stored between 2 weeks and 2 month, and user ID needs to be specified when ever it needs to be obtained via API.

9. Music Playlists (Audio, MP3)

   I'd like to see the ability to create multiple named playlists for the Box iOS mobile app. Currently I can only favorite songs which places them into one large playlist. I'd like to be able to create multiple playlists for different genres of music or for the activity I'm engaged in.

10. Show your pricing correctly!

    The biggest problem is how you present your pricing. You shouldn’t show the price up top, then "minimum 3 users" under the scroll line of your website. Very deceiving! Personal price should be listed as $15 and Business price should be listed as $45 at the top. Better yet, don't have a minimum of 3 people!

11. As an admin I like to be able to search on a folder ID in the admin console

    I just had a user with only a path to a folder with an id (https://company.app.box.com/folder/123456789) for example.

    I didn't have access to it, so I was wondering which folder it actually was.

    I couldn't find a way to search for the ID in the admin console, so I could find the real name and owner.

    My suggestion is to have a search field in the admin console where you can put the Folder ID and it returns the full path and owner.

12. Compliance & Retention of File Activity Comments

    We are using the Activity section on each file to keep a running list of processing notes for each documents - ie invoice approvals, marketing and advertising review, etc. More granular control of comment governance would be very helpful.

    For instance, including comments in permission settings to prevent a user from deleting comments, or include in Governance Admin Panel an option to disable comment editing. Comments should also be subject to the same retention requirements imposed on the file itself - ie if the file has a 5 year retention period.

    Also, while there is a User Activity report that shows which uses made comments on a file, the report does not display the contents of each comment. This could be an alternative to user level controls or in addition to user level controls of comments for SEC 17(a)-4 retention requirements.

    Summary:

    1. Allow admins to restrict or disable comment editing (globally or by user or group)
    2. Subject comments to retention requirements the underlying file is subject to
    3. Allow reporting on file comments to include the content of comments and if edited or deleted, running audit trail of changes or deletions. (ie if you delete a comment, the report will still show the content of the comment and indicate that the comment was deleted by which user, date and time stamped.

    Currently if you create more than 10,000 groups, the groups at the bottom of the list alphabetically cannot be searched for when creating a collaboration.

    This is definitely something that we want to do. However, it is a long term project that will take us more than a year. Marking as ‘not planned’ for now but will update the status once we have more details.

14. Allow login from email addresses associated with partnered org to be authenticated by box, rather than exclusively by org

    Email address I wanted to use for Box login led me to default authentication screen for partnered organization. And yet I could not log in to Box through my authenticated credentials to that org because I wasn't a current member of that institution but a retired one (I do have a valid authenticated login with that organization, as well as valid email address that survived my service at the org, but since I am retired I am not granted organization-sponsored Box access).

    And yet I had a need to be a collaborator on box with a current member of that org who had a Box acct through the org.

    This is a classic situation of falling through the cracks: routed to login one way and one way ONLY -- and needing to login another way (the "Box way").

    This situation really needs to be addressed by Box because I really did not want to have to use another email address login for this access, yet was forced to. There needs to be accommodation for users such as myself. It is literally impossible to use my fundamental email address and interact in box collaborations with current members of this organization who use organization-sponsored Box accounts.

    Fix it, please! Thanks.

17. When will Versioning be available in the Box Content Explorer ?

    We are using the Box UI Elements, Content Explorer javascript library. It seems Versioning of uploaded documents is not yet supported. I discussed this with the Box team via Git Hub, issue #199, and they suggested that I request for this feature at this site.

18. Need ability to migrate workflows between Box instances

    For M&A use cases, it's my understanding that Relay workflows cannot be migrated once Box instances are merged - it'd be nice to have this built into the product so that companies that are constantly acquiring other companies (on Box) don't have to worry about losing access to business critical workflows.

    We dont have any plans to build this feature. I would encourage you to use the AutoCAD open with integration so that you can view the xref
