preview print
Allow the permission to just "view" & "print" files.
(However, you manage to do this)...Maybe it's as simple as having a tick button for a Previewer to also allow printing
...Currently, a Previewer can view and not print,
...a Previewer/Uploader can currently Preview and Upload (Print is meant to work here but is currently not an option despite permission tables saying it should)
...a Viewer can currently Preview, Print and Download.

Improve consistency of UX between Folder & File metadata in web app
Right now (July 2019) in the FLMD public beta, the UX for Folder level metadata is very inconsistent (and arguably more cumbersome) than File level metadata.
For Folder level metadata, the metadata modal only displays after clicking "Edit", which is unintuitive since most users will just be viewing and not editing the Folder metadata.

Add metadata to search results in web app
Currently in the "search results" view in the web app, it is difficult to identify if an item is returned in the search result due to matching metadata. By adding matching metadata which triggered a "positive" search result to the list of search results, it will help guide the user to the correct search result. Without the matching metadata in the search results view, the metadata search query matching and filter functionality is not very useful, as users cannot tell the exact context that resulted in the search result matching. Sync parent folder structure, so that Box Sync retains heirarchy
When granting access to a specific folder, the user's desktop only syncs that folder, not its parent. This results in the folder sitting directly in the highest level folder, rather than in a subfolder where it belongs. The user should see the full file path in Box Sync.
e.g. if granting user access to folder '/Apples' located in '/Fruit', the user should see 'Box Sync/Fruit/Apples', whereas they only see Box Sync/Apples because they do not have access to the overall '/Fruit' folder. This is the incorrect file path.

We would like to change view/edit settings of shared link for Box Notes file in the USM. This is really inconvenient, so we have to open box notes file to change view/edit settings

Icon or Warning Message to display when MFO using Box Drive would be helpful to collaborators
Is there a way for an icon or warning message to display when users mark a folder for offline use or when a file is marked for offline use? This would really help since multiple people might be viewing and editing the same file and if someone is already working on it offline, then we wouldn’t want to make changes and override it.

Ability to sync individual files,
The ability to sync an individual file would be very useful. I often just need a few files if i'm on a flight for example and don't need the whole folder. Copying into a new folder just to sync an individual file is not a great solution.

I want to organize my information in a boxnote with a header and sub-headers
In addition to the formatting of a boxnote I would like to organize my note by header and sub header. With the keyboard shortcut being ctrl-shift-1, ctrl-shift-2, etc.

Group membership retained when an account is deactivated
We have scenarios where user accounts are suspended for a period of time e.g while a person is on extended leave. The business process is to disable the account in Active Directory which in turn deactivates the account in our SSO provider which also sets the account as Inactive in Box.
When the account is reactivated the person retains access to all the folders they were collaborating in but they lose membership to all Box groups and need to be re-added
We've also had incidents where accounts have mistakenly been deactivated resulting in the same issue

Remove the Sync icons in Webapp after uninstalling Box Sync
After transitioning from Box Sync to Box Drive (and uninstalling Sync), the “Marked for Sync” icons on the webapp should be removed to avoid user confusion on how syncing works with Box Drive.

Eliminate confirmation email for manually created or provisioned accounts
We feel that the confirmation email step should not be utilized with accounts that are manually created in the portal or that are auto provisioned from AD. When we create a new account, there is a "delay" with the new email address being propagated and established in our third-party cloud-based email security system. This causes the new email to be added to the hard bounce list at Box due to the email address not being valid (yet). Make all notifications visible at-a-glance again. This functionality was just removed.
As of today, employees in our company are noticing that the full Notifications page is no longer available in Box Web, and notifications have been moved to a small drop-down menu in the corner. A chat with a member of Box support confirmed that this is a product-wide change.
The problem with this drop-down menu is that comments cannot be read in full anymore, as they are being truncated to fit in the small pane.

Fix color shift for images in Preview
Issues with weird color shift in the preview window for .jpg photos. … and they HAVE NOT been resolved IN OVER 3 YEARS, despite how many forum posts about it Box marks as solved and how many tickets I’ve submitted. This is really effing ridiculous. Re-write your image preview code. It is near useless for anyone working professionally where image quality is important.

View is broken after binning multiple items - needs to force a refresh?
I hit a bug:
I had 33 files in a folder. (There are 20 per page). I selected the first 20 (one page of files) and clicked Bin to move them to the bin.
The files went to the bin and once the process completed, the view showed "There are no items in this folder."
...but there are - there are still 13 files in the folder!
Hitting F5 to refresh didn't fix this.
Hitting "Next Page" took me to a "There are no items in this folder" page with no page navigation buttons. (I guessing this is because it…1 vote -
Set number of files displayed
Allow a setting so that we can choose the number of files/folders displayed per page so we don't have to click through 4 pages to get to the end.

Silently sign in users to Box Drive using their Windows Credentials.

Request for Supporting HTML tags for File Request.
Currently, there is no way to add HTML tags(i.e line break) into the title and instructions for “Customer’s Option” in the File Request
due to the explicitly prevented for security concerns. Since we cannot use line break for instructions, it is hard to read if the customer enter long sentence for the instructions.9 votes -
Feed to keep view preference (Top vs. Recent)
At the top of the Feed you can choose whether you'd like to sort by Top or by Recent. I personally find Recent more useful and would like Box to remember that is my preference.
