Add 'trusted websites' to suppress the 'Leaving Box' interim step
When users click on a bookmark that takes them to an external website, there is an interim page that requires them to 'click continue' to verify they trust this website and are ok with 'Leaving Box'.
Request: Provide admins with the opportunity to input which websites allow their users to bypass this interim screen as a 'trusted' website.
1 voteThis interstitial (‘leaving Box’) page exists due to some requirements from our Security team.
Providing a whitelist for companies to use is not a feature that the Web App team will be prioritizing in the near future given other commitments.

Adding "auto_sync_email_aliases" as name of service when an SSO provider passes a new primary or secondary email.
Currently admin reports show the events as taken by the user. This is very misleading to an admin reading the logs, especially when the enterprise disallows users to update their primary email.

Upload policies support quarantine of custom phrases with commas, the delimiter in the UI and CSV
The exception clause is "An Exception." Even with quotation marks, this breaks into two phrases.

Transfer content to manager when deleting via Okta
Integrate with AD such that admins can automatically transfer a user's content to their manager.
0 votesWe have APIs available to select which user to transfer content to. We do not hold any hierarchical data to determine which user is managed by which other user.

We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap, though we want to recognize that content sprawl is an issue and we are working to address it! Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

This request has been raised with MSFT several times as there is no provision in the WOPI protocol to solve this as is. They have communicated that this is not on their roadmap

Enable API apps for select users
Right now, we can disable published APIs for all users, or enable them - we'd like the ability to restrictively enable.
3 votesWe currently do not plan to selectively enable or disable access to the Box API for specific users within an enterprise.

Bring back the old "in progress" or "syncing" icon
With V0.19+, the Box for Desktop icon in your system tray or menu bar no longer shows if any data is actively being transferred

Ability to control what file information is visible when viewing file list
Some users have mentioned that it is more important to them to see the entire file name rather than have it truncated and see the timestamp and other details. The ability to choose what is visible on this page might be one way to resolve this.
2 votesThis is an intentional design decision. We will re-evaluate with additional user feedback.

Thank you for your submission. However, this does not have enough demand in order to be prioritized.
We will reconsider with additional use cases.

Expose Box Server Time for setting JWT exp claim within expected values
Currently, there are a few different places that developers can use to sync the time of their requests which can lead to some confusion/issues with properly setting the exp claim when generating a JWT assertion.
For example, pool.ntp.org offers up a time that's ~25 seconds ahead of epochconverter.com (where support currently suggests that folks sync their time from).
Exposing the "current timestamp" somehow, or syncing up with a framework that allows users to be in sync with Box time will allow for fewer questions/issues with the JWT claims process.

Suppress Notifications - Expand Scope to Suppress In-App Entries in the Updates Feed & Access Stats (for DLP & CASB Integrations)
Services (like DLP and CASB partners such as Netskope and Skyhigh) that use the Content API to scan Box content have the ability to suppress email notifications that would normally be generated for various activity (such as downloads, etc.). This is great as the activity from these services should be transparent and not exposed to the end user.
However, the Suppress Notifications header currently only applies to suppressing email notifications -- these entries for activity from these API-based services still are exposed in-app to end users on the Updates feed and in other locations such as Access Stats.
REQUEST: Expand…
